This coffee shop is unlike anything else in the area. Everything is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the environment is just what you would want in a coffee shop. In the winter I usually order a latte made with syrups made in house. The flavor selection is great. They have some standard flavors, but also creative ones like peanut butter or maple curry. They may sound odd, but the baristas know what they are doing. They also have a great selection of teas. In the summer, my choice is iced tea. They usually have 3 choices of pre-brewed tea ready to pour over ice. If you are looking for snacks, those will also not disappoint. The fresh stuff comes from a local deli. They also have a great selection of chips and unique sodas. The building seems to be an old house. All of the rooms are available upstairs for use. In one room there is a sofa and foosball table. in other rooms there are takes and chairs of various sizes. The rooms allow for a much homier feel and a bit of privacy unlike the nearby chair coffee shop. Outside they offer seating on the porch and in the grass. There are picnic tables with umbrellas. Dogs are welcome outside, and you can even buy a tasty treaty for your dog inside. Like any good coffee shop they offer free wifi. Unfortunately, some folks abused this service, so now it is limited to 2 hours. That really isnt too much of a problem though because everything is so addicting you will be buying something else to east our drink in less than 2 hours. The true asset of this place is the staff. They can help you decide or just whip up a great coffee. They are friendly and always remember a face. If you havent been here yet, fix that now!

This place has an amazing atmosphere and outstanding coffee...they really take their trade seriously, and you can count on a number of amazing offerings that your normal Starbucks barista would probably scratch their head at if you asked them to make it for you. The atmosphere itself is eclectic...Buddhist statues and fish tanks sit under televisions playing movies of the seventies and eighties, and a portrait of the owner from when he was five or six hangs by the counter. Its all very stream of consciousness and inconsistent, but in a charming and beautiful kind of way. Bottom line? Some of the best coffee/tea in Pittsburgh, and an absolute slice of heaven if youre looking for somewhere to have a great drink and relax. Id recommend the iced matcha latte with lavender honey, the main room chairs, and one of the many Hunter S Thompson novels that you are free to pick up and read from their fairly robust bookshelf of in-store loaners.

This is a fantastic place to get a cup of coffee and to enjoy a freshly baked pastry with friends or family. Their coffee is the best that ive had and their customer service is top notch. They have seating on the front porch and are dog friendly, seating in multiple themed rooms upstairs, endless board games to play and TVs in every room if you care to watch. As much as Id like to keep this place a secret, I want to ensure that it never goes away so Im recommending it to everyone out there.

I went to coffee buddha because I generally like small, non-corporate coffee shops, and this just so happened to open near where I live. I was astounded by the atmosphere compared with many other small coffee shops. A generally cool environment where dogs are not only welcomed, but encouraged. I got a tri-fecta, and let me tell you, it was life-changing (slightly overstated, but amazing none the less). I do have to warn you - if you go here, you may not go to any other coffee shop.

The atmosphere is great in that you can choose quiet, contemplative space upstairs or bustling, social space downstairs to enjoy your beverage. The drinks are very good especially their green tea lattes and whichever ice tea they have made for the day. There arent many food options but sometimes there are food trucks in the parking lot. I recommend this coffee shop for anything from relaxing and reading a book to awkward, first okcupid dates.

Coffee Buddha is a vibie, open, casual spot, with plenty of character thats worth the visit alone. Coffee pricing is competitive, and unique. The upstairs space offers multiple rooms with private coves to work out of, meet up with friends, or be alone. Outdoor patio seating too, bar seating, and vinyl records will keep the mood chill and comforting. You must try this place if you stumble upon this review. Enjoy- namaste

This place gives a damn about good coffee the espresso was fantastic and the cappuccino was the perfect six ounce size. The place itself was homey and the barista made us feel the same. I also brought my two year without any issue. As a fellow cafe manager this place is worth checking out.

Coffee Buddha was a happy discovery! The place itself is awesome, an eclectic warm cafe with plenty of seating, books & comics, and good records :) They also have a super cute outside area in the summer. And of course, the coffee & tea is awesome too! Would definitely recommend!

Coffee Buddha is the crown jewel in Pittsburgh coffee shops (and there are a lot of good ones out there). Mike is a great owner and a super knowledgeable guy and all of their baristas take the time to get to know you and remember you. I cant recommend it enough. Seriously.

This place is an awesome respite from the supercharged consumerism of the Ross Park Mall and other nearby locales. Tasty coffee, friendly folks, a cozy atmosphere, free wifi, and a really awesome and clean aquarium for fish-watchin. Double thumbs up!

Coffee Buddha has the unique combination of superior coffees and a calming atmosphere. The Coffee Buddha experience is unlike any cafe in the Pittsburgh area. It has a "Village" feel and the staff is welcoming. One visit and youll understand the appeal.

The drinks are good and the atmosphere is unique. Would like to see more available food options like biscotti or scones or something like that. They have an outdoor seating area now and at the end of every month theres a food truck gathering out back.

Super cool. Totally hipster, but fun, casual, and extremely friendly. Had a hard time picking something to drink, as I like to see a menu, but the hubbs knew right away and was elated with his selection. Check it out! Wish it was closer.

I love this place. They let me order off menu, they make tiny cups of herbal iced tea for my toddler, theres a fish tank and shelves of books for all ages. Well-rounded establishment that makes customers of all types feel welcome.

A great independent coffee shop and cafe with strong community ties and support for the arts and culture! Great for meeting up with friends for a quick cup of tea or coffee, as well as a great space to study and work.

Great local coffee house. Better coffee that the national chains. Friendly staff. Upstairs seating is semi-private because the old rooms in the house were maintained making multiple intimate gathering areas.
