The food was only so-so, but the drinks were absolutely horrible. We had margaritas, both on the rocks and frozen, as well as regular and flavored (mango), in addition to a New York Island iced tea and they all tasted bland and weird - is about the best way to describe the drinks at Mi Tierras. Despite not tasting of alcohol at all, the drinks WERE loaded with alcohol, but my guess, it was a cheap substitute for real tequila in the margaritas, and I have NO CLUE what was in the NY Island iced tea. Now for the food - the flautas were actually delicious, using a light puffy pasty, but the side order of 2 cheese enchiladas were disgusting. The enchiladas were flat, I mean flat tire flat, and they had the look and consistency of fig newtons. only in enchilada form. They were long, and flat, covered in red sauce and filled with something that didnt even remotely resemble cheese that was more like eating a fig newton...literally. Absolutely gross. The nacho appetizer was meh in flavor and appearance and was rather small, and the Queso Fundido...once again...disgusting. I dont know what Mi Tierra uses for cheese, but it cant possibly be anything real, or even half way decent fake cheese. My advice, look elsewhere for decent Mexican food. The food at Mi Tierras definitely isnt it.

This was my first visit to Bluffton, SC and my first time at "Mi Tierra". I went at about 3pm on a Friday afternoon. I knew it was going to be an awesome experience when a woman with a big smile greeted me as I walked in the door and led me to my table. I ordered a margarita (top shelf) and went to the restroom. That was my second sign that it was going to be a good experience because the bathroom was spotless ... nice tiles and vanity. The margarita was strong and tasty. Chips and salsa were delicious and I enjoyed them a lot because the salsa wasnt spicy hot (not a spicy hot fan). Ordered the steak fajitas and they too were delish. As was the second margarita. Food and drinks came out quickly, and could not get over how friendly everyone was. I was told that they were now under new ownership/management. Everyone should try it out (I have no affiliation with this restaurant or their owners). Ill be back the next time Im in town. Mark

This is my favorite restaurant. Of. All. Time. I could drink their fresh salsa with extra cilantro morning, noon and night. And I could write poetry about their fresh guacamole with chunks of garnish. I have tried almost everything from their menu. Their chicken tortilla soup makes my mouth water as I type this sentence. Their gooey cheese enchiladas, fully loaded chimichangas and freshly grilled fajitas will make you believe in Santa Claus. I know this sounds like a hyperbolic tale spun by friends of the owners. Rest assured, this is an honest observation, and the only review you really need to read about Mi Tierras. Food dreams do come true. Walk through the doors of Mi Tierras and discover for yourself.

My family and I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is always fresh and amazing. We drive an hour just to eat here about two times a month. We have never had one bad experience. The only thing that has been an issue has been when we ask for a larger bowl of salsa. They do not tell you that they charge extra for a larger bowl. We dont mind paying at all but we were confused why the waitress kept bringing tiny bowls. PLEASE bring back the larger bowls and just say that it will cost more upfront.

This is our go-to place. Fernando makes the best guacamole- just ask him to make it how he likes it. Ive tried almost every seafood item on the menu and my husband has tried various meat items. The Chimi Del Mar is not to be missed, but my favorite are the shrimp tacos. The service is excellent and the food is super tasty. I have never been disappointed coming here!

Delicious! I love the food and the staff!!! The Tilapia Entero, any way you order it, is SUPERB!!! Never ever had a bad meal or experience here. We always tip well and at Christmas we left our favorite bartender, Umberto, a nice little tip! The shrimp cocktail is great, as well as the steak dish. Nice large portions, and very reasonable prices. Kid friendly.

Though they appear to be making attempts to improve the overall presentation--cloth napkins, real glasses--the wait staff, at least at lunch time, just isnt very good or attentive. And the food isnt good enough to make me want to overlook it.

Good food but HORRIBLE SERVICE! There has never been a time where Ive gone here and had excellent service in the past 3 years! I choose Mi Tierrita because it has the same food (used to be partners) for less of a price and excellent service.

Ive been to this restaurant several times. Recently had Ruth as a server, and she was fantastic. Sweet, kind and prompt with her service. Love the food here, and I appreciate how authentic it tastes. Best tortilla chips/ salsa in Bluffton!!

Service was excellent and food was great! Coming from Texas where Mexican food rules, was a little worried about finding a great Mexican food dinner. No more worries, this is the place. Will definitely be back on regular basis

Service was ridiculously slow. Also they refused to split two orders on two plates for us. Took us 45 minutes to get our food. Maybe it was an off night but no one in the place seemed to care that we were not happy.

Service is always slow. I have given them many chances because my mom loves eating there. I always leave upset because even when they are not busy the service is slow. The food is good just not worth the wait.

Best margarita in town! You dont go away hungry. The portions are huge. I had the special burrito. It was fantastic. Bar was a little slow getting drinks before we sat, but it was a nice dinner.

We were there 10 min, we had to ask just to get water. Another 5 min, we had to ask for chips and salsa. Another 10 min, never even took our order. We left, it was ridiculous!
