So when we got here I thought it would be a good restaurant that I could go once a week, but no. When I got there I was sat down in 5 minutes and that was good but then when we ordered a APP we had to wait 25 MINUTES!!! Then we thought it was a whole bunch of sketch but it gets better. WHEN WE GOT THE ACTUAL FOOD WHICH TOOK 2 HOURS AND THERE WAS AN OCEAN OF GREASE AND IT WAS HORRIBLE!! MY BROTHER GOT A BURGER ,TOOK 2 bites and lost his frickin appetite!!Never coming here again the worst grease filled place Ive been to. Lastly do not let me see my god damn food sitting right in front of me waiting for the waitress to deliver it for 20 minutes. I AM SO HEATED AND SALTY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ¯\_(ツ)_/ (ง̀-́)ง (ಥ﹏ಥ) ﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿ ORLY? Its difficut to read the reviews posted about Smokey Bones and not become a little frustrated. For all of the chain restaurants available, I think SB does an excellent job offering a menu that is not the same (burgers, steaks, chicken tenders) as all the others. While their BBQ is not gold-medal awarded-roadside stand-legacy caliber, it is damn good for a chain store. The pulled pork is not overseasoned and has an excellent smokey flavor and the brisket is equally as good. However, the highlight of Smokey Bones Barbecue is their chicken wings. They have a deep, rich, flavorful smoke and are larger in size than what the other chains offer. There is a sauce to please any palette from their mild and delicious Garlic-Parmesan to my favorite, the tangy, slightly sweet, vinegar based Carolina Mopping Sauce. And, on Monday nights, Smokey Bones serves up unlimited wings for $11, which is a great opportunity to try all of their offerings. Over the last few years the shift in management and staff has certainly been for the better. Pony up and sit at a full bar for Monday Night Football and Wings or a weekend late-night bite and beverage with Liz, Socheata, or Jenna. You wont be disappointed. These three are fun, engaging, and know their bar, the menu, and what quality customer service means. Dont get me wrong, Ive experienced some of what was mentioned in other reviews (slow ticket times, distracted severs, average food). But, I also wont run away from this place because of an off-night or two a few years ago. Its become my Monday night go-to for wings and awesome bar service and will remain that way until something drastic changes. Keep in mind that it is still a corporate restaurant (standardized recipes, drinks, and decor) but enjoy the menu that is built upon quality barbecue and ridiculously delicious burgers and the service led by a core bar/waitstaff that treats their guests better than the others. Solid 4.5 for this chain store that has the heart of an independent.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Lately they have gone through an update and thourougly lost their edge. In the past, you used to get nice succulent meaty ribs in the 4-5 inch range. In my last TWO trips there I felt lucky when I found a rib over 3 inches. In both trips, what I was served was consistently scrawny and a bit over-cooked. And both trips were in the 5-6 pm range, so no excuse about them running low. On one occasion I had a rib-brisket combo plate and again ribs so tiny they had to be from a newborn piglet. The brisket part of the platter was ONE proper slice of brisket, covering up a pile of charred meat scraps, something resembling beef jerky. Certainly not the juicy brisket I was expecting. As for the ribs, I have no doubt they are simply buying under-weight ribs. This way they can still sell their customers the same quantity of "bones" but at significantly less cost due to less meat/weight. Regardless of the excuse, Ill probably not be returning to this establishment anytime soon -- if at all.

The quality of service has gone down and the speed of service has slowed significantly over the past 6 months. My coworkers and I will usually visit here for lunch during the week. I have both experienced and witnessed a long wait just to get a table, waiting for the first waitstaff visit to the table, almost always fogetting to supply the lunch menu, and the long wait for food. The food itself is usually of good quality, temperature, and quantity. Accuracy of orders are pretty good as well. One clear observation is the high and fast waitstaff turnover. The past several years had a good, consistant staff providing excellent service. No longer. Our group did ask a waitstaff member (who no longer works there) what happened to the old waitstaff and level of service. She clearly indicated problems/conflict with management. We still eat here, just less often.

9/26/16 @3pm. Went there for the first time with my family because Olive Garden had an hour wait. I wish I waited the hour. Our waiter did a good job my problem was that it took about 30 minutes to get our food. which wouldnt have been a problem if we had a salad or bread sticks to enjoy while we waited. Instead we had to listen to a guy sitting at the bar with his friends swear up a storm. There were 4 kids within my line of sight and I could see the look of disgust on their parents faces. Along with my own because my 8 year old son had to listen to this fool go on and on. Not once did an employee or a manager talk to this guy. so we ate as fast as we could and made a fast exit. Wish I took a second and read the reviews before we pick this place.
