Food: below average. Beer: local on tap with poor variety and great bottle selection Service: slow and unattentive Atmosphere: dark and the A/C was not working correctly My family and I were here for a night and decided to stop here off a recommendation. I was told they had a good variety of beer on tap and great food. When we walked in there was 2 open tables and we still waited 30 minutes because it is under staffed. The beer on tap was all local but there styles were all lagers and IPAs except for Guinness. They did have some good rare bottled beer though. The food came without silverware and we had to ask a different server for silverware and refills. The food was not so great. My wifes chicken was cold, the BBQ mac and cheese was made with instant mac n cheese and my son said the burger had too much going on that he didnt even touch it. The A/C was leaking on us the whole time and it was warm in the restaurant. The food was over priced as well. Overall it was a bad experience and would never go back.

Let me start by saying food is decent. No real complaints, but nothing to write home about. There are a few things that did bother my group. After a long wait, we received complimentary bread. Being a group of five, we finished it and requested more. Without notification, we were charged an additional $2 for bread that anyone would assume to be complimentary (They also only brought 4 pieces for a group of 5). On top of that, after ordering a $12 Cheeseburger with nothing on it (Just the burger and cheese), we were charged $0.50 for the cheese. We had an $80 bill, and they hit us with ticky tack charges like that? Take it from a Marketing guy - stuff like that makes you guys look bad and angers customers. It is a very good way to kill any chance at repeat business.

Between our two plates and the appetizer, the food was rather hit or miss. Their "house burger", which was designed after a big Mac was not able to be customized to order; we hoped to get the diced onions removed, but no big deal there. The burger ended up coming with whole onions and was overall pretty bland, save for the yummy cheese sauce I had ordered with my meal. The fries/potato wedges were great (also dipped in the cheese sauce) and the pork in the pulled pork sandwich was yummy - the slaw, not so much. Of the three plates, the bacon wrapped tots with the jalapeno cheese sauce was the perfect mix of everything. Overall enjoyable, but nothing to write home about, especially with all the other restaurants nearby.

I had a great experience with the Wharf Pub. My girlfriends and I wanted a hearty meal and we were not let down. We did have to wait an hour to get seated on a busy Saturday night but the bar outside on the new porch held us over. As an only beer and wine restaurant I was slightly disappointed not being able to get vodka but by the recommendation of my server I had the saki with red bull and muddled grapefruit, which quenched my thirst. We started with classic tater tots and I had the yo mamas burger with side of grilled veggies. It was awesome. This burger had bacon and peanut butter! Compliments to the chef who also finished us off with lemon pann cotta. I highly recommend!

Food was ok. Outside was nice with the bar, however the bar tender was horrible! Went out with buddies for food and drinks. We sat at the bar and besides another couple there, the only other people sitting at the bar were the other servers. It took the bartender three times asking to get a menu finally. He would rather flirt with the servers rather than serve people. When asked for my check bc I had to leave early, he said he put it all together and could not seperate. He should probably search another profession because he just lost business for the establishment.

Excellent food and atmosphere. My wife and I came in from long Island for 4th of July weekend. This was the first place we grabbed food. Our dishes were amazing. Pork belly sliders were a great appetizer although only 2. My main dish was fish and chips which was stellar and I never eat fish n chips. My wife had the po boy which we loved too. Best part is this was very reasonably priced. This and Diegos are our favorite places to eat in Newport.

Location: 4 stars Food: 3 stars +1 star for the best clam chowder weve tried to date! Awesome place to hang out and people watch, but ultimately I thought the food was solid. Certainly not bad, but not memorable. We had the anchovy black pepper tots, fish and chips, Brussel sprouts and some cold bar. Load up on the chowder and beer, but skip out on the rest!

They had so many good options I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted. It was pretty crowded and our seat outside was by the bar where the servers would walk by a lot, but it didnt pose a huge problem. They did mix up my order, but when I pointed it out they brought me what I had originally ordered as well and it was all delicious. Definitely recommended!

Seated quickly but service was slow at 1:30! Restaurant was crowded with tables which they prob need during lunch rush. Clam Chowder was wonderful. Lobster Roll was good, nothing to write home about. Sat with empty tea glasses for 10 minutes.

Server was good ... No complaints there, but we waited nearly 45 minutes for two burgers. Mine (the Bondi) was good, my wifes (the Classic) was cold - like refrigerator cold. Cannot understand how that is even possible.

My wife where in Newport for a long weekend. We had drinks at the Wharf pub. Sarah Fimple made me a "special drink" an IPA beer , with a kick. To quote her it changed my life. A must stop when in town. Jon de Stefano

Stopped by on a recent Saturday night. It was very busy. Service was great. Food was very good the atmosphere is noisy but expected in a pub. The chili, dirty rice and burgers were great. Would definitely return.

Nice beer selection, service poor. Bartender more interested in looking cool in his SnapBack hat than serving customers. Someone should tell him to smile once in a while, he might actually get some tips

We enjoyed the wedge salad and the fish and chips, both were amazing. Be sure to ask for a second tartar sauce. I give 4 stars because I felt the server forgot about us at the end of the meal.

Very cozy environment with a small bar. If you can grab a seat, youre lucky and in for a good time. The place is filled with wood and has TVs for sports. Outdoor seating and bar available too!

Great food and environment. Really enjoyed the "pickled" appetizer. Awesome place to get a quick bite for lunch. If you like this place try Diegos across the way - same owner.

Nice. Good food. Great service. Priced as expected for the location, which is overpriced, but you have to know thats going to be true in this location of a tourist area.

Great service, excellent beer selection, tasty food. Unisex restrooms, though. If you dont mind them, youll love this place. For me, its a total turnoff.
