First of all Happy Easter or at least for some.. March I placed a reservation for 9 with a handicap person... Arriving today with our party less two who were on route from Ny we arrived... First it is not a handicap accessible restaurant and not handicap friendly either... i was told my mom was an inconvenience by managet....Let me get to the story.... As we arrived I noticed we were set up for 8 not 9 so i went to make them aware of this...they began to squish another place setting on one side of the table. It would have been very uncomfortable to be sitting like that so I asked for a manager...A woman not telling me who she even was came over to me and i began to explain that our table wasnt set properly and it was very crowded and that we also had a handicapped person at our table... While walking back to our table with this manager a friend of hers stopped her and they began to chat... Already aggravated I said it was obvious that her friend was more important than the paying patron... She continued to finish her conversation and came to the table about 6 to 7 minutes later...I had explained that one of our guests had left because of the seating arrangement added on and she could of cared less... The food was not the best the potatoes were cold the ham luked warm.... And my holiday meal with family had been ruined... My ten year old grandsons both were crying at the table because Papa Bob had left and wasnt having the meal with us.. That broke my heart... When our family from New York arrived they asked where the table for Janet was and was told they didnt have one for that name so he said my last name and the street said oh that table... Absolutely unacceptable response .. a I am a paying patron not garbage... if you are thinking about Village Haven Forestdale, RI for a holiday or even just a weeknight meal and your handicaped or have a handicapped person with you I would think again... It was the worst Easter I ever had... Thanks Village Haven for taking care of your customers first....Not!!!!

This 1 star rating is for todays visit only. We have been there several times 4 the family style chicken, the all you can eat Yankee pot roast both excellent. But tonight we got the Fishermans Platter I have to tell you honestly it sucked I was very disappointed considering everything else has been excellent up to this point. The portion was very small 4 scallops 4 clams 2 shrimp and fish. $21.00 The oil needed to be changed last week. If the food was great I wouldnt have felt like I got ripped off!

The food was good but experience and wait staff was horrible our waiter did not introduce himself (found out his name when we got our bill) after we sat there for 10 mins before being acknowledged he starts with do u guys know what you didnt bring napkins nor did he ever once come to check on us and when we were about to ask for a second round he said ill take your plates out of the way. Horrible wait staff but I thought the food was a lot better than wrights.

Our waitress was great. We had amazing customer service. The tables were so close together we had no room to move. Me being pregnant I need space to move. The very big problem was the food. I ordered the fried clam strips they were disgusting. The fries tasted like the clam strips. Which makes me wonder if they have ever changed the oil in the deep fryer.. I got sick before I even left the restaurant. Will never be returning to this place!

The ambiance is a little underwhelming when you walk in but damn the food is good and well priced. A lot of the food is served family style and/or all you can eat and they bring delicious cinnamon rolls to the table as well (we bought a couple of bags of these to go too!). It was a bit of a drive for us to get here (30-40 minutes) but even so, well definitely be returning.

I was looking for a change of pace, some place that offered family style chicken other than Wrights. Have been here about 4 times, each time has gotten progressively worse. The chicken is usually dry, atmosphere sucks as does the service. They have take out, but why waste your money and time. I would recommend The Pines instead.

So much better than Wrights Farm. Wrights farms chicken is like eating a handful of sand compared to this. If you havent had Wrights Farm, next time youre at the beach grab a nice hearty handful of sand and stuff it down your throat. This will pretty much sum up your Wrights Farm experience. Just ask Allard.

This is my choice the the best Family Style Chicken ......and they let you take home your leftovers...Handicap parking along with the wheelchair ramp is located in the back of the restaurant Ive taken many people here with special needs an received excellent service. They remodeled the place looks great!!!!

Family style restaurant with a couple menu options. We always opt for the chicken and its always great. The service is excellent. It can be loud and crowded at times, but this is not the place for an intimate dinner for two. Bring the whole family and enjoy.

Reception was nasty. Lost our reservation. Charged for a plate charge for a 2 year old which was advertised as free. Some chicken was dried out and looked like the second time that it had been served. Will never return!!

Every time I have ever been, food was great. Wait staff is always a bit iffy and always new staff. Unlimited cinnamon buns are a must. We have always had plenty of room for our friends and family to dine there.

Food took a long time to come to the table and it wasnt worth the wait. Service is great very friendly and checks on us regularly. The three stars are for the service. The food isnt worth a rating.

Love this place. Lots of good food and amazing cinnamon buns. The chicken and soup are great. The place is a little outdated and out of the way but worth it.
