For me, going to The Bog is a no-brainer: Being tucked away from the want-to-be night clubs of Scranton Pennsylvania, The Bog offers a different kind atmosphere for those who prefer a more laid-back, and personable drinking experience. The bar tenders are all cool dudes each with a great taste in music, and a welcoming personality that will help any stranger call the place home. Theyre all easily approachable, and have always offered fast service even when the place has been packed, and friendly conversation when it wasnt.

100% sure that the Bog is like Fight Club. Except everyone tells everyone about The Bog. The two biggest draws are the CD filled jukebox and ever changing beer list. For me, the ability to bring outside food in (like the food trucks around the corner) and the wide beer list is what brings me back. The service is nice, though when the bar is packed, its a short gals struggle to be seen as usual. Parking: Always easy to find a spot on the block. Price: Varies based on beers.

A Scranton favorite, I enjoy The Bog best when its a quiet night. Panked and other events are a blast. The bartenders are super friendly and the drinks are affordable. The only downside is that when its busy, it can get cramped and hot (such is the curse of a small space). Interesting crowd that cycles between people who youll adore and people you cant wait to get away from. But, its The Bog. We love it that way.

Great local dive bar. Staff is great, drinks are affordable and the selection is outstanding. They dont serve food but allow you to bring in outside food. They have a trivia night and other events as well as live music. Really great place and location. One of the best spots on Scranton.

Best dive bar in Scranton! Large Craft Beer selection, Voted best juke box with many local bands. Friendly and fun! Prices are great. Drink here and you will make friends and have good times. There are not many places like this anymore, dont pass up the chance.

The day after parade everythings closed I drove past the bog and almost had a heart attack they werent open. I mean Irish pubs should have some amnosity in scranton. I am born and raised in scranton and give me some justice thank you or I call my friend law!!

Not a bad spot as the people are generally decent, but its tight, parking isnt convenient and some of the popular beers they dont have in bottle, since as Budweiser. Im not a fan of canned beer so I dont come here all that often.

Best bar going. Seemed like all the nicest people in Scranton decided to meet up at this place while we were passing through on a road trip. If you have the opportunity, grab a drink at this place.
