I really would prefer not to write a negative review, but our recent trip to TGI Friday in Exton, PA was disappointing. A restaurant issues a coupon because they want you to try them out and be so delighted youll return even when paying full price. Alas, this time proved to have the opposite effect. It began when the menu I was given had some dried gravy or sauce on the inside. Nevertheless, I ordered the rib-eye steak, medium rare, she the salmon. She requested to hold the rice and was offered the opportunity to substitute a salad, the one plus for the server. The food came out with no silverware. The busser said he would get us some and disappeared. Our server meanwhile was having a fine time chatting with a party of six at a table about six feet away. We waited a few minutes and then I got up and retrieved a couple of sets wrapped in paper napkins from the vacant booth across the aisle. I told the server and she said "Go ahead and take whatever you want, they were supposed to be set before you sat down." and resumed her chatter. My wife was satisfied with her salmon. My dinner, however, was awful. It was a scrawny piece of meat, blood rare, one part mushy, another, chewy. The steamed broccoli came unseasoned, no sauce, no flavor, just dumped on the plate straight from the steamer. The kicker? Her fork, that I had scavenged from another table, turned out to have a severely bent tine. Its clear that several employees at that restaurant just dont care. Now, I cant tell you whether these issues are peculiar to the Exton TGI Friday or whether they are common across the chain but I can tell you Im not going to find out. We tossed the remaining coupons.

My Fiancé and I went here the weekend after the 4th of July to celebrate something special, and we were horribly disappointed. This location has gone sorely downhill in many ways. There was no hostess at the front, but we were seated after maybe 8 minutes. However- it took our server 25 minutes to introduce herself to the table. Another member of wait staff came over and apologize to us for the tardiness. This should have been a red flag, but we like to give hard working people the benefit of the doubt. We ordered everything, as we had ample time to make our decisions. It took another 15 minutes for drinks to arrive, and about 25 minutes for the appetizer, which was luke warm. It then took about another 30 minutes for our dinners to arrive, and the fish I had ordered was not only cold, but the side dish was clearly not what it was supposed to be. When I say it was cold, I mean the cheese had solidified and formed pools of oil around the plate, and the iron skillet was cool enough to handle. By this point I was too hungry to leave. Half way through my fish I had found what appeared to be several facial hairs in my meal, and we stopped eating out of pure disgust. At this point the ordeal had taken 2 hours, probably a bit longer. If this was going to be The debacle it was, we should have been warned not to waste our time. A few hours later I got horribly sick. This place seriously needs to either practice standards of food safety, improve customer service and maintain universal standards that are completely lacking, Or shut their doors. I have never been more disappointed and dissatisfied with a restaurant establishment in my life.

And one star is being nice because my husband and I were very disappointed. The hostess told us to choose our own table. After ordering drinks, appetizers, and our food the appetizers came out and they took them to the wrong table first and had very poor presentation. The shrimp looked thrown on the plate and everything was dry. My husband had to ask for napkins from another waitress. No one noticed that us and the table next to us didnt have silverware until the table next to us were served their food and a bartender had to tell the waitress to give all of us silverware. After a long wait for our food the cook came out from the back to say they didnt have the marinade for my chicken. I told him it was fine and he said my food would be discounted. Then, they bring out my food and not my husbands so we waited LONGER. Once his food comes (the jack daniels chicken and shrimp) it looks NOTHING like what he ordered after he had to substitute his vegetable because they were out of broccoli. He had to ask for sauce because his chicken came out plain and they told him thats how its supposed to be. Really? The mashed potatoes tasted instant made and his mac and cheese was dried out boiled noodles with sprinkled cheese. The bartenders were waiting tables with the wait staff, handling menus, handling food, drinks, and picking up limes and lemons with their bare hands and putting them in peoples drinks. Not once did anyone wash their hands or put on gloves.Took forever to get the bill which came without my discount so the cook and/or manager had to be found and he comped my entree. We didnt finish our dinner and we will not be returning.

i wish i could give it 0 stars. worst experience ive had out to eat in a long time. they had absolutely nothing on their allergy menu that i could eat except for new england clam chowder. i was out with a large group of people and had to pick something so i went with that. 20+minutes later our waiter comes to tell me theyre out. what else do you want? seeing as how he already knew there was nothing i could eat i was beyond frustrated because now all 10 people at my table are being served and NOW theyre asking me to come up with something?! why not tell me before everyone else gets their food?? the manager came over to "help" but just stood over my shoulder not offering any help (normally when this happens at other restaurants the managers do everything they can to try to make me ANYTHING that i could eat even if its simple.. they still make lots of suggestions.) he just stood there and eventually just said well let me know if you come up with anything. then the waiter came back to see what i wanted. i finally just said i guess i wont get anything - i wasnt about to pay for food that was missing half the stuff on it or that was just going to make me sick and eat by myself because at this point everyone else is half way through their meal.. then he told me itd be on the house if i change my mind and walked away. um ok.. thanks. glad to know that now. but seeing as how i still didnt know what they would be able to make i ended up just sitting there, mouth watering, watching everyone else enjoy. smh not the first time theyve been a disappointment.. i wont be back.

Service was so atrocious that we didnt even stay to eat. The Restaurant looked to pretty slow because it was Wednesday at 7:30, so we seated ourselves at the bar. After having no one come over to us after 10 mins, we requested a waiter to come over and they said someone would be right with us. After an additional 5 mins, still no one. So we decided to try sitting one the opposite side of the restaurant, assuming it would be a bit quick. We were wrong....the hostess came rushing out of the kitchen and said it would be a 15-20 min wait because they were busy....yet again, there were maybe 20 people in the whole restaurant. This isnt the first time this Fridays located deterred us to another restaurant. Not sure if the staff is slow or if theyre under Staffed, but this will be the last time I try and eat there. Also, there wasnt one clean seat at the bar. There were menus and leftover plates from previous customers across the entire bar. This place is an absolute disgrace to restaurants everywhere. The manager of this Fridays location should be fired immediately or be stripped of his title and responsibilities .
