I ate at the Cafe on March 29, 2016. I had the citrus salad with tortilla strips. The lettuce and the fruit didnt look fresh at all. The salad dressing had a weird smoky taste. My friend tasted the salad & thought it tasted strange.I only ate about half of it. We left the restaurant at 4:30 PM. By 6 PM, I was violently ill & had 12 episodes of severe vomiting & severe stomach pain until sometime after 9 PM. It left me shivering, cold & weak. I spent most of the time on the bathroom floor & could barely crawl into bed. I was ready to go to the emergency room. Thats how bad it was. Ive never been so violently ill in my life & Im 61 years old. I felt absolutely fine before I ate this food. I rate this place ZERO STARS, but it wont let me post my comments without rating it. I had nothing to eat the entire day before I ate at the Cafe. Im quite certain I experienced food poisoning.

Awful experience. We stopped in after the museum. We stood waiting at the front for a good 5 minutes as staff walked by and no one would help us. Finally a hostess asked if we had a reservation and when we said no she was really rude and rolled her eyes at us. After another 5-10 minutes of standing in the crammed doorway, she walked over to a table, plopped them on the plates, and left without a word. We didnt know we had even been seated. We sat there for another 5-10 mins as all of the waiters gabbed with other patrons, but no one came over once to greet us. We walked out on the spot. Will not be back. Extremely rude staff.

Best restaurant in Pittsburgh. Small delicious meals from local ingredients. Except the fabulous teas (served 2-5 pm) are very filling. Tiny bites of yummy things, but lots of tiny bites. Has wine and beer. Not sure about cocktails. Limited hours. Only open when the museum is. Often full during weekend lunch/brunch hours so make reservations. Gorgeous outside seating looking out at the gardens of the Frick mansion. Construction under way in 2014, but you cant really see it from the restaurant. It is fairly expensive, but worth every cent.

Worst service EVER! Waited 25 minutes before server even came to our table. We placed our drink order and she never brought our drinks. We had to walk to the bar and get our own drinks after they sat there for 15 mins. It took over an hour to get a lousy piece of quiche. Food was good. If youre in a hurry, dont bother. Wanted to love the place because its so cute.

Fresh, airy atmosphere, and a refreshing menu made for a nice lunchtime break here. The menu has many options, so it may take you a while to read the chalkboard before ordering. This is just a nice, casual little bistro in The Strip.

Very poor service, 30 minutes for bread, another 15 for salads, another 20 for entrees, presentation was poor. Some of the food was cold or tasteless. If we had charged the meal, we would still be there. We had a reservation.

Very poor attention and predisposicion of the young men. They do not have the stock of the letter or even making reservations in advance. Do not have BREAD !! In short they have nothing and the price is not cheap. Do NOT go !
