The food was great. 5 stats to the chefs. Decor is great and the coffee mugs are just so cute. The service however is little to be desired for. The wait staff was obviously in a tiff with each other. We waited a good 5 to 10 min after being seated for our waitress because she had been triple sat with tables. So you might want to train the hostess better. I understand it cant be helped sometimes, but when you know they are triple sat at least offer to get some drinks. There seemed to be some tension between all the wait staff and it was noticeable. I will definitely be back because the menu looked good and I wanted to try everything. I will suggest the guests at the hotel I work at go there also because the food was good.

My wife and I along with our two month old baby girl enjoyed breakfast here. I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had the pancakes. The bacon was very good along with the sausage. Gravy had a souther taste and fluffy biscuits. The pancakes were a crispy thin/medium thickness. Crisp on the outside with a soft center. Service was good. Nothings amazing but nothing negative to say. Over all the cleanliness of the restaurant was good. I was grateful they had an area for our baby to be changed. They let us know when we sat down where it was in case we needed to use it. Which we did. Id recommend for a cheaper fast breakfast. My bill was $25.

Our annual sister adventure took us to Charleston SC for a long weekend visit. We just knew we had to see the Charleston City Market, and hit the road early. We opted for breakfast first, and wandered the streets without a destination in mind. As we approached Another Broken Egg Cafe, we knew this was the place for us. While we usually prefer to eat at independently owned small businesses, we were very pleased with our service and food. We decided upon a proper Southern girl breakfast: Bloody Marys, Fried Green Tomatoes, and the City Grits. We were exceptionally satisfied! Perfect way to start a day exploring the City Market.

We had the cinnamon roll French toast, just ok. The cafe grits were a HUGE miss. They were watery and tasted like those instant microwave packets. We asked for the bacon crispy and they were rubbery. The fried green tomatoes were good until I got to the last one and it still had raw batter under the outside layer. I had to ask for some type of sauce to be served with it, which are server was happy to bring. Biscuits were good and gravy was pretty plain. 3stars for the friendly service although not once did anyone ask how our food was. Was sadly disappointed, especially being a southern gal!

I was in town for a wedding and wanted a true Southern breakfast. This place did not disappoint! We got there early (around 10:00 am) and waited less than 5 minutes to be sat. I got an omelet with city grits. This was my first time trying grits, and I honestly did not think I would like them, but they were amazing! You HAVE TO TRY the city grits!! A friend I was with came back the next day for breakfast because he loved them so much. Our server was awesome, but the service was a little slow. The atmosphere is very cute and it is in a nice area. I highly recommend!

Sweet potato pancakes were inedible. Spiced with MUCH cayan pepper. Nothing in the menu said they would be mouth burning hot peppered. When we told the manager his response was " it says spiced pecans." They did take it back and brought over easy eggs, completely inedible with raw whites. When we showed the waitress the liquid egg whites her response was " you should have ordered over easy medium because over easy has liquid egg whites" We wound up paying for the raw eggs, received rude responses for the aweful food and absolutely no apology for any of it.

Biscuit beignets are excellent. They are a bit undercooked in the middle and contain everything good in this world. Eat them. Cinnamon roll is fine, yes, I ate healthy here. It didnt hit the level of godliness that the beignets did. However, plenty of veggie choices, but my partner described the taste the Black Bean Benedict as okay. I started this at four stars, but after the entries I dropped it to three. Staff is plenty friendly, food is certainly adequate. We are visiting, it is fine standard breakfast fare served with a smile.

My family and I had the pleasure of enduring who could possibly be the rudest server we have ever encountered. The food was good (not great, the potatoes were cold), but when we ordered hot chocolate off the menu she told us she would be going above and. beyond to get that for us. When they arrived stone cold (not even warm) she did not hold back sharing how difficult it was for her to arrange this. You know, if wed ordered a non-menu item her manner still would not have been justified. Her tip was reduced accordingly.

First thing to come to mind, slow, very slow. The server took 30 minutes to come take our order and the food took another 30. The chicken was dry, the pancakes were expensive and disappointingly the size of my fist and were bland, the eggs were like the nasty flat eggs from McDonalds, and ya know I can deal with all that but what really pushed me over was burned bacon, no one messes with my bacon, bacon should be treated with the upmost respect. If you want bacon it should not be here.

The food was delicious and well prepared. However, the restaurant could certainly be better managed. There was an hour long wait, while there were plenty of tables empty upstairs. They seemed to not have enough wait staff for the size of the place. It seemed to us that with an entire upstairs empty, they could have at least let people grab a cup of coffee or some juice and sit comfortably in the air conditioned space, rather than outside on the hot street, while waiting for a table.

John B was our server for our first time experience here and, holy crap, what a personable, kind guy. He helped us pick out exactly what we wanted on the menu. From the biscuit with honey (try this seriously) to our omelets (fiancé got the Hey Lucy omelet-- try it if you love avocado, and I got the Lobster and Brie-- just freaking try it, its the best omelet Ive ever had). Just a fantastic experience all around. (And the peach Bellini wasnt too shabby either).
