My first favorite daughter came in from California with her family for Christmas. I wanted to surprise her with her # 1 choice of gluten-free cookies, Gluuteny. I placed my order and paid the shipping ( we live in Washington Pa.) I expected the treats and my daughter Dec.22,2012. My guests arrived but no cookies. BUT WAIT...the next day, Sunday, on our return from the theater there was the holiday decorated bakery box on the porch with my shipping money inside the plastic bag. We were puzzled. My phone conversation with the owner revealed HIS trip from Squirrel Hill to Washington to personally deliver the cookies at the peak of freshness. He knew if they were shipped the cookies would not be at their best on arrival due to the holidays. I / we were all very appreciative of the above and beyond thoughtfulness. Thank You again .

Gluuteny tastes great and offers a good selection of baked goods but I dont think it is worth the health risk of consuming partially hydrogenated oils (TRANS FAT), mono-and diglycerides, and any other additives they use. I had never asked to read an ingredient list when walking in to the store because I loved that the goods were GF and CF. Then I bought a packaged good at a retailer of Gluuteny products. The packaged good listed the ingredients and I saw that these horrible food additives were used. Trans fats and mono-and diglycerides are harmful and are found in all sorts of highly processed, packaged foods. Gluten-conscious and vegan individuals are usually more concerned with their health, thus many try to avoid consuming such low quality ingredients. Please consider asking them to change their ingredients.

The items here are a wonderful culinary retreat for those of us who have to say no the wheat. They do an excellent job, even if a pricey one, of providing bakery options for the gluten-allergic. However, I was in there today and you would have thought that asking for half a dozen cupcakes to be put into a box and my receipt was personally injuring the sales girl. Whats up with that? I even apologized for upsetting her, and she simply walked away. I dont think she really had much of a positive customer service attitude. How do people like this get hired? Oh well, I guess if I want the gluten-free goodies, I will have to tolerate it... Ah, the way of the monopoly!

I love that Gluuteny offers so many vegan options!! Finding GF, vegan, TASTY treats is challenging but Gluuteny always has something for me. The Bundt cakes and cupcakes are to die for and the perfect compliment to the pizza pocket, another favorite :) I bought a Thanksgiving cake there a few years ago for non-vegan, GF guests and everyone loved it. Its so fun and refreshing to be "normal" and grab a cupcake with friends; Im so happy to have this option in Pittsburgh!

Great place with great food and staff. Found it over 5 years ago after a hard first year of being gluten free. The store is small but the staff gave me time to be overwhelmed at the possibilities. I am in love with their pancake mix and carrot cake cupcakes. Its nice to walk into a place and be 100% sure you can have whatever you want. And for those with dairy allergies as well they have options that are both gluten and dairy free.

Even though we almost got off to a rough start (the person I had originally ordered from evidently lost our order), we were able to place another order the day before for our sons wedding rehearsal dinner. The 3 cookie cakes, 2 apple pies, and 2 berry pies were AMAZING - we could not tell they were gluten-free/dairy-free. Everyone loved them! Thanks! I would have given 5 stars, except for the order mix-up.

My wife is gluten sensitive so I ordered a cake from Gluuteny and was extremely pleased with the taste of the cake and frosting. We had a wonderful dinner and when it was time for dessert, the restaurant brought out the cake that I had brought with us. I am still enjoying the cake 3 days later!! I would recommend Gluuteny Bakery to those people who are gluten sensitive for their desserts!!

I went there today for the first time and was absolutely amazed at the fact that everything was not only gluten free but wonderfully tasty. I have fallen head over heels in love with quaint little bakery with employees who still believe in giving service with a smile.

When in Pittsburgh I recently picked up a bag of Gluutenys Pumpkin Loaf mix. Brought it home and mixed it up with squash from my garden instead of pumpkin. Also added 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. It is amazing. Thanks Gluuteny for making such an excellent product!

I LOVE this place!! It is really hard to find bakeries that have good dairy-free and vegan food, and Gluuteny takes the cake! I love everything Ive tried, and Im only sorry that I live in Akron not Squirrel Hill... I try to stock up every time Im in town :)
