WARNING!!!!! I came here three times with friends. And. Let me tell you this is my last time. Horrible food and service is so unprofessional. They call themselves a French restaurant (French over priced garbage) The waiters are cold as ice and get mad if you ask for anything. They get annoyed if you ask for something! Do your job your if you dont think you get paid enough get a better job but dont take it out on me. And please dont get me started on management. Michael W. you need classes on how to manage otherwise this job isnt for you. I can justify mistakes and misunderstandings but I just dont justify being RUDE! I am sure that the owner wouldnt appreciate you being rude to paying customers. The motto is and golden rule the customers are always right. And do you know why customers are right because we are the ones that help you stay in business because with us there would not be sips staff. I wish you can take my advise and not go here. Because Phoenixville doesnt want or need a restaurant like this one. And we have a lot of other restaurant that are better let me say much better.

For me, this place didnt meet my expectations. We had a reservation (which we did the day before and confirmed 2 hrs prior to arriving) , but we were made to wait and the hostess DID NOT even smile ! The waiter/manager (not sure) was friendly and explained the menu to us. Escargots is just ok, could be better. Scallop dish was good.Just 6 scallops for 32 dollars along with a small fondue etc.. It is a reasonable setting but food is definitely over priced for the service (the host and server attitude etc) they provide. With the price, I would definitely expect a smile !! It was my birth day and I think my husband mentioned it to them, they brought over a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a sparkler on it !!! the lamest thing any restaurant has done ever for me in all these years! which my husband took a scoop of and I didnt bother. I DON T THINK I WILL EVER RETURN , esp when there are tons of excellent restaurants with extremely friendly staff right there at Phoenixville.

The place is attractive and the staff was welcoming. But what makes or breaks a restaurant of this sort is the food, and unfortunately I cant say much favorably in that regard. The coq au vin lacked evidence that wine or bacon were among the ingredients, and as such, it was quite dry. Plus it was smothered in a thick stock and surrounded by mashed potatoes, which made it come across as a chicken shepherds pie. The burger was way overdone. And the $26 dollar 8 oz steak frites was too charred on the outside and too tough and chewy on the inside. Most of the reviews here laud the place, but have little specifically to say about the food. Maybe we just hit them on a bad night. I hope so because I really would like them to succeed.

Asparagus should never look like it drowned in a sea of butter a week ago and be served this way. We came to this place for our anniversary dinner. I ordered the Lobster. My Asparagus was limp and dull grey, the carrot emulsion was large chunks of huge carrots, the Lobster was like rubber, the cauliflower was partially blackend and mush. By far the worst plate of food I have ever been served. For $32 entrees I was expecting something much better. The wine at $14 a glass should have had flavor and as a Sauv. Blanc been crisp and fruity. This one not at all. They did take my plate back and credit our bill but the wine was left undrunk on the table. DO NOT GO HERE. Extremely disappointing.

So, my selfish side said "dont review it. If you do, dont be too honest or it will keep getting busier and it will become harder to visit or park or get our favorite seat...", but, in the interest of full disclosure, I must say theres much to like about Sips. Classier than the name or location suggests. Well thought out and prepared menu. Professional servers. A very pleasant diversion from the ordinary. (OK, I AM keeping a lot under my hat :) )

Cozy in places restaurant with good food and nice drinks. Dont let the french cuisine title fool you, theres regular food in here as well. :-) Had dinner with my wife. It was good. Kind of odd... I had the Grilled Mac and cheese, but they grilled it until it was burnt and still sent it out to me that way. I had to ask for them to remake it, and they did, but surprised it got sent out that way to begin with. Well try them again.

Driving by we just decided to stop in and we are glad we did. Great food and excellent service. Drinks are well done too. One of the best restaurants around this area. We had the short rip grilled cheese with some of the best fries we have ever had and the braised rabbit pappardelle. More people need to stop in and give this place a try. The liquor selection is by far the best in the area.

Went to brunch, the SIP salad is delicious and there was enough to share with my friend. Service was on top of everything. I tried the Norwegian eggs, it was delicious. Home fries were good too. There was a guitar player which added to the comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely go there again.

Yes, we love this place. A special night out for 2, or with our kids. Brunch is also splendid. Good drinks, oysters, and interesting, enjoyable plates. Definitely recommended!!! Sit outside, if you can -- it feels like a hidden spot in town.

My wife had the Lorraine Frittata and I had the Sea Bass. Wow! Great chef with wonderfully prepared dishes. Key lime pie and apple tart for desert. Great way to end our meal. Youd be crazy to not want to try this place. Comfortable and inviting.

Food and drinks are delicious (great bloody mary mix)...and most important the service is top notch. When I am out dining or cocktailing, service and hospitality are paramount and Sips is the best, in my opinion. Hats off to the bartenders.

you cant beat happy hour at sips. Try the blue caiparinia. Dinner was great too. The shrimp scallop combo was outstanding. The chocolate mouse was out of this world. The staff are very friendly and fun. I love this place!

I stopped in with my sister for a quick bite on my way to another social obligation so I ordered a blue cheese burger and a mojito at the bar. Both were outstanding. Hope to come in for a full dinner soon.
