First time going to this establishment. Exceedingly rude hostess. There was no greeting, she stated thered be a 5 minute wait and walked away. When she returned, she said "are you ready", as though wed kept her waiting. She showed us to our table, threw the menus down on the table, told us our waitress would be with us and walked away. Our waitress was a very sweet girl, but Im assuming she was new. I ordered a Diet Coke, and she brought a tea. My husband ordered a root beer, and she brought him a root beer that had alcohol in it. They were out of the soup for the lunch special. The rude hostess attempted to bring us another tables order and seemed disgusted when we told her that wasnt our order. The hostess then brought our order out, pushed it across the table, pushing the drinks with it, with no concern as to the possibility of them spilling. Our waitress came to check on us once, as soon as our food arrived. No refills were offered. The food wasnt bad. Its a shame the service was so poor.

We went there with my in-laws for my birthday. My meal of a flatbread was ok (definitely overpriced), but my husbands fish and chips was terrible. The fish reeked of ammonia, and when he asked me to smell it, I had to pull my head away to try to avoid how bad it was. We flagged down our waitress who took the meal back to the kitchen to replace it. The manager came to our table and told us that she couldnt smell that anything was wrong with the fish. First of all, as a manager in a restaurant, you should probably be able to taste/smell when something is not right with the food that you serve, and second of all, it seemed odd that the manager would just straight up contradict customers that way. It wound up causing an awkward interaction with our server, who didnt do anything wrong and did her best to smooth out a poor situation. Unfortunately, Im unlikely to want to return to a place that will serve food that has clearly gone bad and then wont actually admit to it.

We often try to eat here, because the food is good, but the service can be terrible. Tonight, we walked out without ordering. The place was nearly empty, but we were seated in the front, so the bartender was our waitress. She never came to our table. We suspected that she was supposed to be our waitress, but she didnt come over to get our drink order etc. because she was talking to a friend. After about 15 minutes, we went and asked the hostess (nicely) to send our waitress over. We saw the hostess go and talk to the bartender and point us out, but she just kept talking to her friend. After about 5 minutes, we decided to give up and leave. This place is OK, but dont let them seat you up front - this is the third time that weve had terrible service from the bartender.

Our first trip here a couple of years ago was bad enough to make someone not come back... Luckily for us we have been brought back several times when visiting our family. Every visit after the first has been nothing but perfect! In April the managers put together an unforgettable memorial service for my Grandfather and last week they accommodated for a reveal for my wife and my upcoming baby. They food, beer and service was spot on. They are great at what they do and do a surprisingly good job at smoking meat (this coming from a 6x finalist judge at the San Antonio BBQ Cookoff). Keep up the good work!

The wait staff could not have been better, so accommodating and professional. The problem was with the kitchen, I ordered Shrimp and Grits. This is NOT a hard dish to make, but someone decided to drop a sage bomb on it to the point that it was inedible! Who, in their right mind puts sage in shrimp and grits? No one and no real cook puts so much sage, a very strong taste, in anything. I might, go back for the service and try another dish, but no, the soup was over salted or had sat too long and cooked down and the shrimp and grits was too salty (and I love salt!) and inedible. No thanks.

Went here for dinner on a Friday evening. Service was really bad from the time we entered. The hostess was extremely cold in the way she greeted us. Steaks and salads were brought out at the same time instead of serving appetizers first. Steaks were cold and were probably sitting in the kitchen waiting for the servers to carry them out. We paid around $25 per entree and totally not worth it. Air conditioning was really bad too. Left midway as the food was horrible. Its just a bar hole in the wall kind of place. Definitely wont recommend going here.

Amazing food and drinks!! We had the brunch... the steak and eggs(I subbed in the cheese fondue ), the potatos Obrien were served perfectly crisp, steak was tender, all the flavors came together like the 96 dream team and Jordan was the Fondue. The pulled pork sandwich was decadent. Shrimps and grits was delicious but was lacking Shrimps. The drinks are a star by themselves. Well balanced, smooth going down, and not skimpy on the alcohol.

Good select of beer on tap with constant rotation. When becomes keg empty, they replace it when the beer "on deck" which is the beer on the right side of the menu. The food is very good too. If you like deep fried food then try the chips or tots. The entrees are very filling even on an empty stomach. Service was very good, friendly atmosphere with excellent hospitality. I will return!

Good happy hour specials. Varying menu options from sandwiches and tacos to steaks. Nice atmosphere. Separate bar and dining room. Slightly upscale dining. Seems many business people meet here after work. Sits back in a store front so it doesnt look like much from the exterior. Modern mix of industrial and cabin-esque decor.

The hostess was extremely rude multiple times throughout our visit for brunch. The first mimosas we ordered had no champagne in them. My poached eggs were hard and my scrapple was mushy and had no flavor. Extremely disappointed, will not return. The bartender was phenomenal and saved our visit even though she was extremely busy.

Stopped in for lunch and had the Sliders, Soup and Salad at the bar. For being such a simple premise it was an awesome meal. The house salad with apple vinaigrette, the turkey club sliders and the sausage and orzo soup were all delicious. Service was friendly as well.

A very nice little Delaware interpretation of a gastropub, a good rotation of craft beers on tap with a nitro system and a cask beer system. The specials are usually a little more adventurous then the regular menu. A nice place to eat lunch and have a beer.

Very relaxed environment. Waitresses could be a little more on top of table but they had very down to earth personalities. Order the pretzels! They are delicious! I had a peach lemonade. It was also delicious and sweet. Cozy atmosphere.

Ulysses offers a wide variety of craft beers on tap that is constantly rotating. Their food is good but a little on the expensive side for my tastes. Overall its a nice relaxing place to sample a new beer or to meet with friends.
