New to area and looking for a good Chineese Restaurant. The New Golden Buffet is the 3rd restaurant Ive tried. 2 stars is really generous for the food I ordered for take out. This restaurant just didnt prepare what I requested. My order was 2 egg rolls and General Tso Chicken Extra Spicy and a little extra sauce. Like so many of the Chineese restaurants the egg rolls were dark and greasy (do they warm up already fried egg rolls by refrying them?) The chicken did NOT have any sauce but clumped and dry with limp over cooked brocholi. Not spicey at all. I just dont understand. Do these places survive on one time ordering and no repeat customers? Geez care a little!

Thai place next door was closed so I came here. not the best of anything but a variety of everything greasy-American-invented Chinese you wont find anywhere in Asia. Imagine a lesser quality Panda express for you to choose and get as much as you want, no questions asked. Seriously, I just walked in, put my coat in a chair, grabbed a plate and filled it up, the stuffed my face. pay the cheap price as you walk out. no frills. Staffed grabbed my used plate when I finished it so that I could fill up a new fresh plate. Id stay away from the seafood, personally, but there are a lot of veggies! steamed, mixed with meat, and even salad bar. veggies are a big plus!

Should have known with it being the night before thanksgiving coming to a buffet would be a mistake, but how bad could it possibly be? How about food that looked like it was sitting out since Lunch! Also of note when I asked for fresh food they did oblige on certain things but other stuff they said cant you just eat what is on the buffet. UGH Beware, general Tso Chicken is the horrible variety made with Ketchup as opposed to the true GTC sauce. Fried rice was so dried out I thought I chipped a tooth. Soda all flat, it was just a bad experience. Seems Chester County, PA has no decent Chinese Buffets. I mean they ones that are open all SUCK!

The selection of food was very limited and not tasty. I dont recommend this place especially if youre coming to enjoy lunch or food with some friends, and dont bother your time coming from a far away area. Its not worth it. The spoons were a bit sticky, and the food seemed a bit spoiled. Anyways, at the end, the one thing I did enjoy was the mango, it was very ripe, which made it bad, but it was edible. Next time please have more selections, especially for people who have morals and religion factors that come into place. I think more seafood would be cool, especially with the theme of the restaurant.

I went for a late dinner after 8 pm on Saturday. Selection was thin, and they didnt appear to be refilling the buffet any longer, so it just got thinner. Black pepper chicken, General Tsos chicken, chicken with broccoli, honey chicken, pepper steak with onions and a spicy pepper chicken were what I had (shellfish allergy). Flavors were good as expected, but this is more of a no-frills buffet so I wouldnt give it 5 stars even though the server and hostess were very pleasant. 3 stars would be accurate, but I think they did what they do well enough to earn the 4th star.

Took my mom here for Mothers Day because she wanted Chinese. They inflated their prices to $14.99. Advertised lobster but all I saw was a bunch of empty shells. Food was cold and soggy. Donuts was hard as a rock. Could have used them to pound a nail in the wall. The fried rice was under cooked and crunchy. Yes Chinese people that cant cook fried rice. And everyone in my party ended up with stomach aches after we left. Will never eat here again. Only reason I didnt complain to the staff is because my mom seemed to enjoy it.

Try the New Golden Buffet. The food was fresh and delicious. They will make a stir fry for you with ingredients you pick yourself. This food was a good as at any well-reviewed restaurant. We loved it. Great for vegetarians or families. The price is very reasonable and the service was excellent. We WILL go back...and soon!

Food empty they put in just a serving , push you to finish , three times took plate , when I was still eating on it , took soap half full as I was spooning it out , never put shrimp out when gone , Not busy at 7pm , I know how come , oh $ 13.49 by the way and never did see the crab legs,

Hated it. Way overpriced. Went on a Sunday and it was over 13 dollars a plate. Did not have much variety for that 13 dollar cost. Food looked several days old and service was so so at best. Would never return to, I love buffets and this is by far the worst I have ever been to.

Came in for lunch on a Friday. Food was exactly how I expected to be for a small Chinese buffet. It was decent. However the Mac and cheese looked like elbow noodles in milk. It was very soupy. They should really work on that. All in all Id come back.

Worst Chinese Ive ever had! I wouldnt eat here again for free! Poor selection and bland food!!! People leaving positive feedback, never had good Chinese food! There arent any good Chinese restaurants in Phoenixville... try China Wok in Audubon.

One of the worst buffets i have ever been to. Their food collection is truly scarce. Only a handful of items to choose from not to mention the quality of the food is absolutely trash. Please never visit !!!

I ordered pork lo mein and not only was there no pork at all but also no veggies. It was just plain noodles with nothing in it. I assume they gave me the wrong order.

Not great. Love King Buffet in Plymouth Meeting. Compared to King, this place is not good at all. Selection is poor and food is completely mediocre.
