Today 04/20/13 (Sat) 12:28 PM--- my daughter & I stopped for lunch at Teppanyaki in Dickson City, Pa . We frequent that restaurant quite often as we enjoy the food and find the people there to be very accomadating. Today however when we entered, the hostess proceeded to seat us. She was taking us to the furthest end of the restaurant that there was. I asked if we coul please be seated in a booth closer to the buffet. As we were walking to the back there were many empty booths which we passed by. So there was no problem with available seats. She gave us a disguested look and proceeded to turn around to take us to another seat. That is when she said ( to herself under her breath , but my daughter heard her ) "The walk wont hurt you" was her comment. My daughter at that point said "EXCUSE ME"? She then realized that my daughter had heard what she said. She then repeated the statement making light of i and trying to portray it as a joke. This blond haired rude hostesss name was KARISSA. With her attitude she has no business gretting people. I am a 75 year old woman and appreciate sitting closer to a buffet so I dont have to make my way around the whole restaurant to return to my seat with a plate of food. Other then the encounter of this rude hostess(KARISSA) during this visit, the food and service people of the restauant were very good.

I have eaten here at least 5 different times and it has been fine, but last night, 2/22/15, was the last time we will eat there. A worker was sick, I mean coughing all over sick, and was tending the buffet. she was not covering her mouth at all but letting it fly toward the food. It got so bad that one time she was on her phone standing in front of the food coughing directly into the food!! Other people noticed it and were equally uncomfortable. I went to the manager and told him and he said something to her, but it was too late. I never seen someone so grossly contaminate public food, and it grossed us out so bad that it ended our(there was 4 of us) dining experience. The hibachi cooks tap the tip jar before they cook your food, very tacky since it is included in the buffet, and the bill for our food was on the table before we were done with the waitress waiting there for the money. This is the last time we will eat here, and I just wonder how many people eating there last night will get sick!

I will never go back to this place! About a month ago I went there to eat, and when I went to bite into my general Tsos chicken something hard shattered in my mouth. I spit out the pieces, and it looked like glass or plastic. I called the waitress over, and she looked at me weird and went and got the manager. He came over and tried to brush it under the rug like it was no big deal. He was like oh probably a shell got mixed in. I was disgusted. It definitely was not a shell. The three of us got up to leave, and they tried to make us pay a $30 some dollar bill. We did not even eat. The chicken was the first thing I went to eat. We just walked right out the door. I will never go back there. I also heard from a few others after posting about my experience there to Facebook that they found hard pieces like that in their food. Apparently its common for this place. It needs to be shut down.

My husband and I had not eaten here for quite a few years and remembered the food as being excellent. Sadly that was not the case yesterday. The pepper steak and pork spare ribs had a nasty taste as if the meat was turning rancid. The fried rice was bland. My husband stuck to the stuffed clams and chicken wings, which he said were good. The ice cream case, which I observed people leaning half inside to get at the ice cream, which were in huge tubs, had water laying inside a couple of them. The waitress was decent, but overall the experience was not worth the time and this morning I woke to diarrhea, which I place firmly in response to this food since all I had before eating there was toast and coffee.

Every time I go they give me the bill as I am eating and demand that I pay that second as Im eating and then proceed to demand a tip showing me how much I should tip and asking me if they can have my change as Im picking it up and trying to eat it is ridiculous and rude and if you do not tip them they stand by you until you do and every time I just walk out and I will most likely not be returning there ever again. Concidering how grimy the place is and food is not nearly good enough to be nagged for money the entire time I am trying to eat.

I do not recommend eating here. The first experience was pretty decent and thats what got us back in the door a few more times. Theres another buffet with the same style of food less than 2 minutes up the road, I suggest eating there. Our 2nd and 3rd visits reflect their true food. For subsequent visits the food was not very warm and should be at all hot food items (Its a buffet). The last time we ate there we all felt ill.

This place is a really nice place to go to eat. I love the General tsos chicken here. They have really cool scenery and the food is just delicious. It is way better to go to lunch here. The one time for my friends birthday I went here and i got a fortune cookie that had no fortune in it. My friend asked for a new cookie. Then that fortune cookie said "some fortune cookies contain no fortune" bizzare right ?

The hibachi was great. I really enjoyed my noodles cooked to perfection. Good selection at buffet and nothing was empty. I ate to much to enjoy any sushi or dessert but both looked good. I will definitely come back again. I read many reviews about good service and my service was....well, non existent. No one refilled my drink. No one brought me my bill. This is the reason I only gave 3 stars instead of 4.

I always have a great time here. Ive probably been here 100+ times since I was 17. The sushi is always delicious, cold, fresh, and flavorful. The hibachi is the best way to get absolutely fresh cooked food, and the cook is always fun to talk to and watch. As for the buffet food, its still really good. From eggrolls and crab rangoons to calamari and crab legs, I can never get enough of Teppanyaki!

Lots of options and the food is decent but could use more flavor. Staff is relatively mediocre, you barely see them and they take a while to pick plates up then they give you the bill and demand you pay instantly then come back in like 2 seconds to assess their tip all whilst you are still eating. For the price its not bad food but definitely not one of the better buffets within the area.

I frist came here about 6-7 yrs ago and this place was amazing. Now though out the years the food is slowly going down in quality. Dont get me wrong the food here is still better than alot of buffets out there, espically the sushi they offer you. The sushi is made fresh righr in front of you and you dont have to second guess yourself about picking it up. Overall, I will be coming back.
