Third Strike. First Trip - Chicken Pot Pie (runny inside, large chicken chunks, old/frozen vedges, good crust though). Second Trip - old coffee + Chicken Marsala (chicken was frozen or old with an unusual sour taste, watered down sauce). Final Trip - old coffee + Chicken Primavera Special (MASSIVELY over-portioned, tough/overcooked/sour pieces of chicken, overcooked vedgetables, brown/non-aromatic/non-basil-tasting pesto that Ill eat my hat if it was "fresh"). While service is generally nice and considerate (albeit a talkative group of socialites), three areas of most disappointment: Food Quality, Interior/Atmosphere, Portions. Food quality can easily be improved if menu size decreased. Less items to prep and could focus on a few strong dishes. Interior has no readily discernible theme - what message do you want to send to customers? Make the interior support the food, because right now I get "Old 50s Diner", and not the good kind of old. Portion sizes are out of control; just look at the plates in stock. Use smaller plates, makes portions seem larger. From what Ive seen, the place has been dead most evenings when Ive gone. Perhaps if theres some massive changes, I may revisit, but for now this is a complete no-go-zone for me. Really do hope things change for the better, lots of simple changes to add value to be made.

Ate here on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. The place was pretty much empty, not good for a restaurant on a Saturday night. Took a few minutes for someone to come to the table with menus. Dont know what took so long, there wasnt anyone to wait on. The waiter was friendly, so that was good. I ordered the chicken piccata, the chicken was tough, old? Over cooked? The vegetables were overlooked & my baked potato came with no butter or sour cream, I had to ask. The only thing good was the nice presentation. My husband got an omelet with home fries and scrapple. That was good, Husband said the scrapple was cooked perfectly. Our son got the cordon bleu sandwich, he enjoyed that. Said it was very tasty. So the consensus is that this is a good place for breakfast and sandwiches, not dinner entrees. The place is clean and bright, I liked the look. While the waiter was friendly, there was still something lacking. He didnt make a connection, Im not sure he ever waited before. They need to work on their customer service. We may give them one more chance. I hope things change.

I dont think I would ever go back. Went there with my guard up cause Fishtown is funny with non Caucasian people from the beginning. My cousin and I get seated and about 5 mins later and group of 4 are seated in the same section. We sat for almost 30 mins before being asked if we wanted drinks. Meanwhile the group after us was serviced first. Shoot, they were done eating by the time we got our food (we got there at 10:59, got our food at 11:40ish) While eating I request a repeat of my order to go. Get that in all of 7mins..while Im still eating the waitress puts one of my plates onto the other without asking if I was done so as I tell her I was still eating she tries to put my plates back

I tend not to go here very often due to the fact that prices are high and it seems like everytime I order something, they either dont have something or they forget to give it to me. I usually order the fruit and yogurt parfait and everytime they forget to give me something. Today it really pissed me off because I ordered it and noticed I did not get granola so went back to ask for it and come to find out they are out of it. This is something their staff should notify people of upon ordering or right after once they notice these things. Then to top it off after I leave again I realize they forgot the honey.(or dont have it) Best way to start your morning with a half ass breakfast.

We ate here again,,seafood combo n n.y. strip n the portons were huge, the food was easily one of the best diner experiences that i ever had in 35 + years,,great salad included with meal,on par with salad works,Fresh vegetables, service n friendliness could not of been any better, very clean,it is brand new, prices reasonable especially considering quality, waitress promptly replaced all condiments with meal as needed, without asking,,lemons, butter, sour creams, honey all were top quality,,dessert was to die for..atleast 15 choices,,i found my 2nd home lol definately worth a trip from center city,,if i could rate 10 STARS i would do so

The cheesecake was OK but the cashier was so rude. And she kept rolling her eyes and made us wait Xtra long after I told her we need to get back to work she was just doing a whole bunch of nothing and it was just myself and my cousin in the store. Boy this was like so shocking her behavior. I vowed never to return. O and this was on a weekday during the day. So sad because we had planned to purchase food for her little marriage celebration one week and my birthday the next. Her attitude changed my mind right away

I absolutely LOVE this place. I grew up in NJ, I have spent a lot of time in Philadelphia over the years, and I now live in Maryland.... So any time I get back up to the city I make a point of stopping in to have a pork roll sandwich there because people in MD just dont understand....Ive had multiple other meals at Mugshot as well and the food is always on point. On top of that, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. Definitely a treat not to be missed.

This is the WORST place to eat!!! CARDBOARD FOOD. TOO EXPENSIVE for for what you get. and NEVER EVER try to order delivery!!!! Youre going to wait an hour, get your food COLD, and theyre always forgetting one or two things of what you ordered. I mean ALWAYS!!!!!! and ALWAYS check your takeout before you leave this place - the same reasons.. cold, and missing food, or cooked just not right! if youre hungry you better of getting MacDonald.

Terrible place. The food is crazily priced, and the service is downright awful. You are better off going to AppleBees. I go last night, get seated by my hostess, and wait 15 minutes for a server to acknowledge me. Oh, and btw, did not get acknowledged after 15 minutes. There were only about 7 people in the entire place. 7. The two servers came over to my side twice, to wait on both tables that were in my area. Nothing. Terr

Not good. I never leave these comments but this was just...bad. There are so many great diners in south philly, take the extra mile. We came in for dinner, food was not hot and had no flavor. Also expensive for a diner, youd get a better deal at an actual restaurant nearby. Service, however, was great. Maybe breakfast is better.

There was a couple of two in front of us, a group of five walked in the greeter overlooked my wife and I sat the group of five and the had the nerve to tell my wife the were here before us with this smerky look, but an apology would have been better. But the service was Excellent the waitress was very tentative
