So much potential unrealized. I was initially excited to have a twenty four hour diner at the heart of Old City; the bars and nightlife would be just that much better if I could begin addressing my impending hangover with American comfort food. Alas, that was not to be. Philadelphia benefits from the long history of Jersey diners in the surrounding area, the city itself has many in other neighborhoods that does that tradition justice. At Revolution, there were very few options to choose from, of which many were unappealing. Most egregious is that breakfast standbys, like the Eggs Benedict were redefined. One waitress actually got into an argument with another patron about it! You wont find any ham under your eggs here. Even when items were on the menu, I found that my omelette omitted its promised sausage. The service during a disturbingly empty Saturday brunch was just as absent. Twenty minutes passed before we could order. Thirty more until the food arrived. If youre craving breakfast food in Old City, it might be best to look at the many other options in nearby neighborhoods.

The food was okay... I paid 10.50 for three unsweetened iced tea. One of which was a refill. Yes I should have asked if refills are free but I feel thats trashy. I wasnt expecting to pay for a refill on iced tea which costs 10-50 cents per glass to make. $3.50 for a small cup filled mostly wit ice!!! This diner is such a tourist trap due to the area I assume. Go to the south street diner instead. My nachos were completely smashed up little pieces of chips with ez cheese good salsa and soggy sauteed peppers and onions that belonged on a cheese steak, not my nachos. I then had an omelette and it was so small. Nothing tasted horrible but for the tourist trap price it should have at least been good. I could have paid 3.50 for a margarita drink special somewhere.

Abysmal service after waiting an hour and a half for food which was never started. Our waiter mustve been asleep somewhere, since we never saw them. Manager was kind though, and served us frozen fries, one spoonful of soup and half baked pizza for our troubles. If you looking to kill 3 hours and love crap food, this is the place for you. One star for the bathroom, which was clean.

In town for only two full days and went to the Revolutionary Diner twice. A must see for those in town on the historic side of the city. Great food (for picky eaters too!) wonderful wait staff and a great atmosphere. I have absolutely no criticism for this restaurant, a true gem of Philly!

This place has some of the best pizza Ive ever eaten. The sauce has some tomato chunks in it that I wasnt a fan of, but after I took them off I thouroghly enjoyed myself with amazing service extremely nice waiters/waitresses and a truly amazing chef. Ten on ten bro, you did a good job.

Decent little place. Went in the early morning; atmosphere was nice. Breakfast menu is specials & omelettes. Cheap prices for its location. I had an omelette; wife had fried donut & chicken--we were both happy. Attentive service. Will check back w/ dinner menu at some point.

Great place, my friends and I are in town and went there twice, once for dinner once for breakfast. Both of our waitresses were great and very friendly, one even helped us with our subway route. The food was good both times and it has a very friendly atmosphere.

The reason this page has so many good reviews is because the owner threatened his entire staff to write a good review or he would fire us. I think that says enough about this business.

Very bad. The pancakes I got were named Red Velvet, but when I got it the pancakes were just regular pancakes with food dye. To add on to that the pancakes were burnt.

Highly recommend. The food was great, came out in a timely manner and the prices are great as well for being in old city! The manager and staff were very delightful.

My big slice was certainly big, but could have a little more time in the oven. We were in a bit of a rush, so sending it back wasnt in the cards
