This will be my first review on anything or anywhere ever and its not a good one. I went here with my spouse and son and the food was horrible. They served home fries that were dry and white with no browning, even though we ordered them well done. The so called "scrambled eggs" were like omelet shaped with a piece of melted cheese on top. Also, the waitress was horrible. She was confused about virtually everyones order in our section and kept forgetting things. I did not receive any toast until 10 minutes after getting my food! No one asked if everything was ok and we had to get up and ask for a drink refill for my son. I did not even have a fork and had to ask for one. There was no ketchup, sweetener, syrup, or napkins on the table. Only grape jelly, sugar, salt, and pepper. Worst experience, worst food, worst waitress. If I was a lesser person I wouldnt have even left a tip but thats just not in my character. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere, I warn you!!!

You owe it to yourself to make your way to the Quaker Diner for a TRUE Philly diner experience. The food is delicious, but its the people who make this place special!!!! The day we were there (three women traveling together), the other patrons figured out by listening to our conversation that we were from out of town, so a few of them came over to welcome us to Philadelphia and shoot the breeze with us. The owner also heard about us, and sent us away (from breakfast) with free slices of the Quaker Diners famous (and SCRUMPTIOUS) cheesecake to have for later. And, if youre really lucky, youll have Mary for your server. All the employees at the Quaker Diner (we ate there three mornings in a row) are awesome, but Mary will make you feel like you now have family in Philly.

When is a diner not just a diner? When the Corned Beef Hash Benedict is so luscious that itll make you travel forty minutes out of your way! I discovered the Quaker rather randomly, on a morning Uber run. Loved it instantly, but forgot the name and location down the line. Scoured the Northeast and eventually recognized it. Just finished my third visit. The food is top-notch; the restaurant is impeccably clean and shiny--not a speck of dirt, even in the pristine little restrooms. And Michelle is a DYNAMO, in addition to being a sweetheart (she adorably calls everyone "darlin")! Treat yourself to the Quaker sometime soon.

My husband and I were there on Jan.10,2015, we had the best service ever, not sure what her name was she was awesome treated us like family. The soup red was great salad bar was great,my husband had liver and he said it was very good for eating out at a restaurant cause usually its tough, it was soft. I had #24 fish which was awesome great flavor. Took our desert home and my husband loved the German choc. cake i had the Jewish apple cake very good. Very clean and friendly we will be back and we live in Bridgeport,pa and will travel to your restaurant. Keep up the great service and food.

The Quaker Diner is superb. The prices are dirt cheap for the portion size you get. I always end up bringing left overs home. The servers are excellent. Everything is freshly made, nothing frozen. The soups are excellent, Ive tried them all. The dinners include everything from soup or the salad bar all the way to dessert. It has been completely redone all red and chrome. Its beautiful. Maria is our regular server and we love her. Check it out, i highly recommend it.

Came here with my sister in law while my husband , son and I were visiting from Florida. We found the food to be fresh and delicious. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. I had the fry fish. Delicious!!! My son loved the cream soup. My sister in- in- law became a little annoyed with one of the waitress and we were given pastries and an apology from the manager. Over all it was a great experience. Highly recommended.

Usually dont have any problems but today was not good. The waitress marina rolled her eyes at us. And seemed to be annoyed everytime we called out to her. She even magically somehow forgot to bring out my moms food. Then to top it all off her clothes smelled like mildew! But besides her being crappy. The place is usually good with no problems and the guy at the register gave us a free slice of cheesecake

Service was laxidasical. (forgot parts of my order, stuff floating in o.j) omelet was o.k but the pancakes taste like it was made with sawdust and water and the bacon was so crispy it fell apart when you touched it . (An indicator that it was old meat. Meanwhile the waitress wanted to leave so bad that she forced us out. This diner is a no go.

Being nice about 3 stars because the food is good diner food but, the service here is awful. Sit for a long time before anyone ask if you want drinks. Why do they put ice in chocolate milk without asking, thats disgusting. Server said the milk is not cold, how do you have milk thats not cold. Second time with same waitress not very friendly.

Its a small restaurant, but its clean and properly maintained. A great place to go on a dinner date. Their staff are friendly and welcoming. They also have jelly, ice cream, cakes, burgers and etc. They are really good with takeout and they have a signature cheesecake. Theres also a catering service if you need to but dont want to cook.

Awesome service, great food, and huge portions! Took my family from out of town to this diner and wasnt disappointed. The food wawas great and a meal for 6 people was very reasonable. On our way out to pay the guy working the cash register gave the kids some cookies. Very friendly staff and my family and I will be back!
