We were staying in westside downtown Philly for the week at a conference hoping to enjoy some good food. My friend, son and I chose The Liberté Lounge to start. We have differing opinions on the quality of the food but no difference on the service which was sub par all the way. They were short staffed the evening we were there but there were only 4 other tables. So that does not excuse walking past us three times in order to take care of ONE table near us while our drinks sat at the bar for over 5 minutes getting warm. We ordered a burger, the pasta and the short rib dinner and a Caesar salad. The pasta and the burger were to our liking but the short rib was not. I have never seen such a hunk of meat from a beef short rib in my life (4 inches square) and it was the so fibrous we had to saw it with the knife. The carrots that came with it were so hard they almost could not be cut with a knife and they were burned on one side. We were not offered dessert or coffee. I would not go back.

Four friends went to celebrate with a birthday lunch during restaurant week. The venue and service were good. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing to say the least. Specifically, the quiche and the salad were badly represented. We were so disappointed because we have always enjoyed restaurant week where we have the opportunity to discovery new restaurants and new food. Each past restaurant week experience has been amazing and positive. But, when all four customers feel the same dissatisfaction with the food, I think that speaks for itself. We left feeling very sad that our birthday celebration lunch was such a let down. And to boot, although 50% of the bill was knocked off; the fact that we did not eat the food after just a couple of bites, management should have done more. None of us would return nor would we recommend anyone to this location. $60 later, sad, disappointed and still hungry. . . .defintely, a one star restaurant, dont waste your time or money. . .

This was our second visit. The quality and value of the food was consistently very good. Although our waitress was very pleasant, we got the impression the restaurant was understaffed. Our cheese plate appetizer was very tasty but took about 20-30 minutes after placing our order. As I recall, the main courses took another 20 minutes. Maybe I just have to acclimate to a slower pace.

Amazing Restaurant Week experience. Our waiter was very friendly and made us feel at home. All three courses were fantastic, with dessert being the headliner. Choice of fresh bread and butter was a nice touch. Definitely plan on coming back here. 5 stars!!!

Wow I sure loved the arugula salad. I ate at bar for convenience and was served promptly accompanied by a good free snack tray. Jennifer is a friendly competent bartender.
