Music was good....thats about all. To start, we made reservations, called the same day to confirm, only to find out that when we arrived (on time!) we still had to wait. No table had been saved. Ordered drinks, only to be told they only serve beer and wine. Ok, no big deal, except that when we ordered beer and a wine (from the menu they provided), they had run out of those particular items. Mind you, we were not informed at the time of placing the order, we had to wait to be told they didnt have what we ordered. I ordered the "duck" and it was tough, definitely not edible. Returned the plate, minus the one bite, explained the reason to the waiter, who could see the plate was barely touched. When we requested the check, they still charged us for the duck plate. After further discussion with the "manager", they did deduct the item for the final bill. So we paid in cash, there was some change left.....we waited and waited, the waiter did not make eye contact or return to the table. Kept the change!!!!! Which is unfortunate, because had he come back, the tip would have been better.

Adorable place! I was walking by with my friend (who had full intention of going there but I did not know) and I was immediately drawn to this place. It is cutely nested among many similar places but it exudes this comfort and coziness that I found really attractive. Food was a bit odd but that is because I tried escargot for the first time - it was actually delicious :) The live music was comforting and inviting. Wine was decently priced and pretty decent selection too. All in all I did not want to leave.

A disappointment most ways round. Service was haphazard and disengaged. Only folks who really came around was the band looking for "tips" after a musical set. As that we were in the garden out front and couldnt much hear the jazz ensemble, that seemed odd. And the food - the bread was good - otherwise - lacking flavor and more than not, just forgettable. Speaking of forgettable - the whole place is one to forget. There are many places to go and eat in the LES - this aint one of em.

My group of four had no problem finding a brunch table on Sunday around 1 and enjoyed a nice brunch accompanied by live jazz. The service was attentive and kind; when our server forgot to put in our order, she apologized and returned with a round of mimosas on the house. The prices were very resonable ($15-20 with tax and tip) and I will definitely be returning.

Our food was OK, though the chicken was too dry and quite bland, and the atmosphere was pleasant, although the admittedly charming jazz trio was much too loud. I rated it "poor" however, because the waiter insulted my party of 2 by adding a 20% gratuity to our check. Others in these pages seem to have suffered similar lapses in taste and tact at Jules.

One of the most stylish evening venues in East Village. They provide outdoor seating. They play live jazz. They have a fantastic wine selection. Their glasses sparkle even when theyre dirty. I have never once seen a stain on a waiters shirt. Nothing is overpriced, even though it tastes like it should be. Gentlemen, this is where you bring a date.

If you plan to go, go on a night where there is live jazz. That is when things are really happening. The food is French bistro style and they really do a good job. For appetizer get the tuna tar tar. Expect entrees to be like Coq au Vin and moules frites. We loved everything. Cant wait to go back. Would also be a great place to grab a drink.

The food is pretty tasty, the ambiance is romantic, and the music is live jazz. I was a little taken aback when the band started coming around with a pot asking for tips though. Tips are fine but its the first time Ive seen a band in a restaurant do that while youre eating. Also, the restaurant only accepts cash and American Express.

Great place! The jazz is fantastic and the food is deliciously French, very authentic. Most of the staff is foreign too, which can be really fun. Ive been there for brunch and for a late night drink, and it has always been fun. I was only sad to see that they stopped serving the 1L Hofbrau! It was so good!

I have such a great time every time I go to Jules. There is live jazz every night and great food. Ive had the steak, salads, escargot, chicken, etc. and I havent been disappointed yet. The mushroom risotto is a must. Ive had dreams about it. The staff is friendly and the vibe is great.

What a great experience. Traditional French bistro food - this isnt fancy French, just good quality, traditional hearty fare. The music / show was awesome fun and accentuated the relaxed air. The wait staff were a little green, but really nice, fun and attentive. Cant wait to go back

This is my favorite restaurant on the planet Earth. Really. Way really! Great food, fantastic vibe, live music every night and the amazing staff is like a cast of characters in a great French film. Do NOT go to Jules if you are looking for an average night out! Magic will happen.

Un accueil super, avec une ambiance jazz. La serveuse française est très joviale. Un bon groupe, nous avons passé un bon moment.

Great food great atmosphere. Went on a Sunday night, the music was fantastic. A perfect balance so you can enjoy but still have a conversation. The meals are a great portion size I definitely recommend the patè followed by baby octopus salad. Perfect!

Excellent food, got the homemade pate and the skirt steak with truffle oil risotto. Fine first price wine a well. Jazz music once in while. French food at it simplest but best. Once again an understated restaurant with fine French bistro food!

Food was good but the service was the worst I have ever experienced in New York city. The waitress was rude, slow and got an order wrong and yet still demanded we pay 20% tip even though we were only a party of four. Avoid this place.

Despite living close to it for some time, I never actually went in, but years later I finally made my way in, and it was a nice place. The service was enthusiastic, and the music was good. Food was nicely presented and tasted as good.

Relaxed brunch atmosphere with live jazz, great eggs and bottomless mimosas. Much less fuss and pomp than the other brunch places nearby. You wont find lines around the block for this place, which I consider a good thing.

I have been going here for years. Lovely live music. Good food. But the service on a Friday night- ugh! Our waiter eventually stopped servicing us and we had to track down another waiter. Not sure what happened

Great French-prepared food, great and diverse jazz acts, great bistro ambiance, staff can be a little snooty in the way the French can be (most are from France) but for the most part are usually fine

편안한 분위기에서 가볍게 와인을 마시면서 재즈 공연을 즐길 수 있는 곳. 음식도 수준급이다

Excellent live music, especially for those who like classic Jazz but instead of some of the very modern stuff that plays in Jazz clubs. The french fries with truffles are highly recommended.
