My partner and I, a couple of bistro vultures dating back to college days in Paris, have become devoted regulars to this place. We LOVE this place for its simple grace and charm, for its crisply clad wait staff, the less-is-more styling of the menu and the gorgeous simplicity of white marble-top tables fronting the flawless red banquets. We also love the service, silky smooth and effortless. We love watching the ebullient Peter Woolsey at work in the open kitchen who is nothing less a one-man Balthazar. Food is impeccably timed, seasoned, and presented--with clear good faith in traditional food stuffs and preparations. Equally impressive is the La Minette crowd: on any given night it looks a movie set for an idealized Greenwich Village of self-contained hipster intellectuals. I am fairly skeptical of reviews of La Minette that are less than stellar (perhaps written by fans of the abominable Parc?). La Minette is a godsend.

A true hole in the wall, a rare gem, yet a secret to keep. Hands down the best French restaurant in town. Dining experience was beyond spectacular. Our server and Somm-to-be was very knowledgeable about the wine pairings with the courses that came out for the 7 course meal. Our chef, is one of the best, if not the greatest Ive ever experienced in my years of dining. He and his sous chefs outweigh the caliber of so named "iron chefs" in town. The chef prepared our courses according to our dietary needs without having to create a "new dish". A true master chef is able to tweak a dish according to the consumer in a way where the consumer may still enjoy what the chef was trying to portray without the dietary/ allergy restrictions a consumer may impose.

Food was incredible and service could NOT be better. Brett, along with the rest of the staff, was phenomenal and extremely knowledgeable on all things food and drink. Offered pairing suggestions for each course and explained why they pair, where they were from, and the history of their production. The food itself was wonderful and came out in perfect succession. I recommend that if you are stuck between a few menu items, ask you server. Everyone I spoke with seemed well informed of the menu and how it fit together. This way, they can create a tempo to best suite your taste.

If you like italian its a 4 star. Staff was very nice and returned my food that i didnt enjoy. I ordered a steak, 2 eggs, and mashed potato dish. Steak was under cooked but not bleeding. Eggs were cooked the best ive seen. Mashed potatos were done in a way that i wouldnt eat but i could see others enjoying it. I dont like italian much but my family of 20, were not raving about the food if you catch my drift. I would consider going back if the menu was a bit broader or had italian dishes with white of read sauses.

I have been to La Minette several times with my wife and our friends. I have tried most of the menu although the latest one has new additions I am yet to explore. The food as well as the staff has always been great and I have always felt at home. My favorite is the puff pastry with wild mushrooms and fennel confit. The grilled sardines are terrific too. The preserved duck leg with fingerling potatoes and the mustard braised rabbit has turned us into regulars. I would give La Minette a 5 star on taste and service.

I came here for the first time during restaurant week with a few friends, and was very impressed by the quality and value of all the food. Nearly everything my friends and I tried was delicious, and I particularly liked the duck entree and foie gras appetizer. Excellent dessert selection as well. Overall, for $35 I think this is a restaurant everyone should visit. Im not sure what normal prices are here, but I would gladly pay significantly more to dine here. Strongly recommended.

One of my favorite restaurants. My bf took me here the first time for Valentines day then we decided to go for my birthday and then we went for my boyfriends graduation dinner. Their bread and butter is amazing (I have to stop myself from getting too full). Then we always get the order of the escargot. And I usually get the scallops or the special. Their desserts are so good too. Their service is amazing and everyone is very nice. They even give you chocolates at the end.

We came specifically for the family-style dinner on Sunday night. Weve been to Bistrot la Minette many times, so we were not surprised by the quality of food, but I was shocked by the amount of food the family dinner gets you! We had enough to take home for a second meal. It was an absolutely fantastic meal for the price. I highly recommend checking their family-style dinners out.

I took a group of 25 for a private lunch. The experience was amazing...starting with my interactions with Bret to plan the meal. We had the entire place to ourselves. Everyone was so helpful during the whole process. Now lets talk about the service-WONDERFUL. The food- EVEN BETTER!! If you need to plan a meal for a group, this is the place to to! We will definitely be going back!

Consistently good food, great atmosphere and excellent customer service are the reasons I keep returning! Plus the Sunday Prix Fixe menu gives you a chance to try every dish on the menu; my favorite dish is the Œufs de Pêcheur. The tarragon cream sauce, poached eggs and mussels are rich and a joy to the palate. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The 5 course tasting option allowed me to try a myriad of different plates. Heirloom tomato salad, snails, soft boiled egg toast thing, duck, cheese and jam plate and something chocolate for dessert. It was a worthwhile and fun experience. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and French cuisine and he was extremely attentive.

Wow. Im not even sure where to start. The food was incredible, every dish was so exceptional. The salmon was the best Ive ever had! Our waitress was not only knowledgeable but friendly and accommodating. The wine selection was unparalleled, and the cocktsils were so tasty. This place is definitely pricey, but also definitely worth it!

For timing purposes we went to Parc at rittenhouse and had a very bad experience at brunch and had to leave. We went to our first choice Bistro La Minette since they were open by that time. We had as usual a 5 star experience. Thank you to the staff for treating us wonderfully and the food leaves us speechless everytime.

This place is amazing! Perfect outside Bistrot La Minette and beautiful roses. The owner is very nice and made me feel at home and make sure the construction was not to loud for me while I enjoyed my beautiful Salmon omelette!! Dont forgot to get the fresh Bistrot La Minette!

We had a great experience at this little French treat in Philly. Lovely cocktails, many classic dishes and expansive wine list to choose from. Attentive and fun wait staff. Well be back to try some of those starters and entrees we didnt have the chance to enjoy.
