Placed an order for a full chicken karhai, worth $35 [suppose to be a full chicken]. What we were served with was totally surprising and upsetting as this has happened to us before and were given the same lame excuse by the staff that butcher placed more neck pieces in a whole chicken packet. I have attached a picture of the food served, few neck pieces were on the used plates, this is just the ones that were never touched, a total of 14 neck pieces from one chicken :( . Server suggested that the chicken neck supposedly have that many pieces to it... LOL so dumb seriously... when was the last time one saw a chicken with a foot long neck? Seriously, if a customer is paying for a full chicken dish then why is it that half of the meat OR BONES came from the neck of the chicken? Instead of refunding our $35, we were offered some sweets worth $4, totally inappropriate and unacceptable. Note: staff does scavenge unused food back into the new orders, good luck to people eating here. Make sure you get the money worth of food you actually paid for.

Was a little apprehensive about coming here looking at the reviews but thankfully found clean tables all around. The food looks delicious. Of the desi food places Ive tried in the US, this is the first to not offered a weirdly sweet, watered down version of Chicken Curry so thumbs up for that. The Resham kebab was good too. Tip: eat the kebab while its hot. So you might want to order the rest of the food well before the kebab or well after. Best thing- the tandoori nan. Five stars. The only thing I didnt like was the Kashmiri tea as it tasted and looked like it had been brewing way too long. As far as service goes, theyre not unpleasant but they could definitely improve the customer experience. No real complaints. Will visit again.

Good food but bad customer service. Very long wait time. I had a busy day outing with the family and we were all very hungry and tired so I decided to bring them out to Kabobeesh as I hadnt been there in years and this would be their first time. Well, lets just say there was no one to take our order so we had to order at the front. From there, it took almost 45 minutes for our food to be served! The irony is that we didnt order any big meals (mostly sandwiches/gyros). On top of that, we had to ask them about our order and then go to the front and grab it ourselves. Poor customer service. Food was good but not worth the wait. Wont bring the family here again. Advice for the future: order 1 hour ahead of time

Kabobeesh is a fantastic place to go to. They have maintained the same level of quality while expanding their menu over the years. Its a tried and tested place that you can never go wrong with. The kebabs, as well as the less dry weekend selections are simply amazing. You feel like you are back in Lahore (Pakistan) once you enter that place. And I am not sure why another reviewer criticized then for rude waitress throwing menus on the table. In this place you order at the counter and sit down until they call you to get your order. There is not water or menus on the tables or waitress service. This sounds like someone with some other hang up or alterior motive.

I have been eating here for 10 years. The Nan is very delicious, as are the kabobs. I havent seen the price of food go up drastically but I have seen the size of the kabobs go down a bit. This place is not aesthetically pleasing, especially the bathrooms, but Kabobeesh is always busy, especially with locals and Pakistanis, so I would assume the food is good! Is the food 5 star? absolutely not, but it is some what cheap and tasty. I am an American married to a Turk, we enjoy all types of foods, and I like Kabobessh, but you cant go into these places expecting Le bec fin, or be realistic it is still a dive restaurant, in West Philly.

Tasty, reasonably prices, slightly long wait... Honestly, I dont have much more to say about Kabobeesh. The portions were fair. The place is kept clean. They also take credit which is a nice bonus for the area. As long as you dont go confusing it for a five-star restaurant, youll probably be satisfied. If you come relatively hungry, you should be able to leave without much left on your plate. If you arent in a major rush to eat and leave, you should be able to handle the service. Ive tried the Lamb and the Chicken Kabobs, and a few of the sides (thinking the spicy cauliflower dish was my favorite), all solid choices.

I grew up near the neighborhood of Jackson Heights surrounded by desi restaurants so I know how Indian/Paki food is supposed to taste like. Ive been coming here ever since I moved to Philly. This restaurants quality of food and service has drastically dropped in the last year. Their food is extremely salted and tasted stale. I also personally witnessed a worker drop hot chai on this toddler at the table and just laughed about it while the kid was screaming in agony. Their wait time is ridiculous as well even when the food is already ready (food behind the window), and take 15-20mins just to scoop it out.

The service is so alien and the attitude of the owner is very bad, rude and the cashier lady has a lot of attitude and is very rude. We ordered the tea and we got the tea in 1 hr 30 min. The restaurant is so dirty and Im going to the food authority for him to check the kitchen and inside the restaurant. They charged us extra for a lot of stuff. The very rude owner and cashier lady told us to never come again. Food is overpriced and lots of oil. I recommend that you never eat at this place. Thats my very very rude kabobeesh experiment

I came here for Thanksgiving dinner with family. Unfortunately, it was a terrible service and tasteless food. They didnt even serve two items were in our order. Fish and chapli kabbab wasnt even cook properly. We had to return them. Secondly, they are not being consistent. Last time i was here, they served us at the table and this time they didnt. I dont mind getting up and help myself but atleast be consistent . Surely after this second visit, im not coming back to ruin an other family dinner.

This is place you can get some quality food late in the night. The place is a taxi drivers hangout and stays open late. Youll see a lot of UPenn students and others occupying the little converted diner car. Theres enough parking and it is a short walk to the universities. The food was good but not the greatest. The decor is way below average. The service is typical and nothing that youll remember. I go to Pakistani restaurants for food anyway
