The place was packed (Saturday evening, Feb. 20, 2016,) but we saw a clean, empty booth the moment we arrived. ...But the sign inside the door indicated that we should wait to be seated, so we stood and waited. ...And waited. ...And waited. We were out-of-towners who had our hearts set on trying the place, or wed have left. After at least 10 minutes of being completely ignored, we were finally greeted and taken to the booth wed had our eyes on the whole time. (Id call that a VERY bad start. Cmon J.R.s, you should know better than that.) Fortunately our waitress was friendly, helpful and hard-at-work. The service was a little bit slow, but the whole crew was very busy, making the service delays understandable and acceptable. We got what we ordered; no mistakes or need to send anything back. ...And we didnt need or see the restrooms, but the dining room seemed clean and the food, while a little sloppy and inconsistent, was mostly very good. Overall we had a great time, but had we been less patient, wed have gone elsewhere. I think Johnny Rockets needs to employ a few more people .., and tell every one of their employees to greet customers the moment they arrive!

First, in response to another review, they do not pay their workers squat to dance and serve. They pay min. wage for tipped staff (about $3/hr), and of course a lot of the clientelle dont care to or do not know they are supposed to tip. In the back, they have us "funnel" the ketchup bottles, which goes against the rule written on the bottles themselves... This entails taking all the half empty bottles and turning them upside down in this funnel into an empty bottle in order to save bottles and make them all appear new and full. Just imagine the bacteria and dust that ends up on your plate. The servers have to bus the tables and take orders, as usual, but with the same hands, they wipe the tables, pour the drinks, mix the milkshakes, and operate the deep fryer. The cooks, in my experience, are really dirty uneducated people without a care in the world about how your burger or hot dog is prepared.

When my workplace told me that we were getting Johnny Rockets delivered, I said, "Do you hate us?" "No," they responded, unconvincingly. So, I went with - what I thought was - the safe route: BBQ chicken melt. My already very low expectations were not even glimpsed. First, our unlabeled blobs of food had to be parsed apart in order to ascertain which was whoms. There wasnt a single BBQ chicken to be found, but there was a chicken breast dangling limply over the side of some oily bread, so I assumed that must be mine. Turned out there was a splash of BBQ sauce under the grease-saturated bread, along with a single greasy onion ring. I ate it nonetheless because, apparently, I dont like me either. So if you like to wallow in the depths of self-loathing, go right ahead and order from here. If not, order from one of the hundreds and hundreds of places in the city that would provide you an actual meal.

Ill start by saying the food tasted good and that is obviously very important, however the restaurant was very busy and when our waiter took our order he neglected to actually write it down. Needless to say we didnt get everything we ordered and some of it was wrong, they did give us a couple extra orders of fries free of charge for a long wait and the mistake. Still didnt get the food we originally ordered. We were ready to go and asked for the check, but they gave us the check for another table, After we got OUR check and gave them our card to pay they forgot to bring our card back. I likely wont be returning.

Literally bought a voucher just to try it out and see if it was worth coming again, but sadly never got to eat their. It was terrible. The place wasnt really well conditioned at all and it was really hot out. The worst part of my visit was the smell of the place, it smelled like a bathroom. My family were willing to stay and dine their since I bought a unrefundable voucher their but out of the kindness of my heart I could not allow that. That being said $24 down went drain, Im never going back to their establishment in Philadelphia and I wouldnt recommend others to go there either. Try else where.

Me and some friends went late at like 9:45 PM. The portions of the plate we got were kind of miserable. We got sweet potato fries, bacon cheese fries, onion rings but the fries were not plenty. The onion rings were so hard you felt like youd break a tooth. The bacon wasnt crisp by far. I imagined theyd be better since Ive eaten here before. Im guessing they stopped cooking because it was getting close to closing. The waitress was really nice though. I guess if you go dont ever go during closing it was disappointing for us. Its a nice theme in the restaurant, and milk shakes are good.

This place sucked. Greatest experience about this place was leaving it. The service was terrible, the manager was completely confused. There was a waitress who was extremely rude. They had no chili no hamburger buns, how do you not have hamburger buns smh, can I just give it no stars, please god let this place close.

Restaurant could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasnt much to complain about. Service was a bit slow too but Im not going to take points off for that because the waiter was overly polite and friendly. I cant remember his name or else I would give him credit! Their cheesesteak blew me away too!

Food and decor were typical of what youd expect. The service we received is what is worth writing about. Our waitress, "T Cup" was friendly, attentive, and absolutely adorable in how sweet she was. After a long, rainy night, her smile and perky attitude lit up the room.

Ive had mixed experiences here. The staff is usually helpful but dont expect above-and-beyond service. The food was disappointing, too expensive, and takes a while to come out... especially when crowded. The milkshakes are pretty good, classic 50s style.

Great 50s 60s restaurant ! The burgers were very good. The service was really good but I have to admit that it took a little while before we got our burgers and fries.. But the food, the service and the place was totally amazing, I recommend it !
