A lovely little gem of a place. Friendly and helpful staff, nice decor. Cozy. Only one problem. My significant other and I were there yesterday, a snowy morning around 10am the place was crowded by we managed to get two seats. What bothered me was that in the 30 mins we were there, 2 tables were occupied by 1 female each, on a laptop. Both were done eating and drinking coffee. They each took up an entire table with their laptops. Thats 4 seats out of commission for at least 30 mins. Meanwhile, people are circling in an already crowded cafe. There should be a time limit for those no longer eating. Besides this concern, it was a great place.

I love this place. The staff is friendly. The owner, Meg Haegle, goes out of her way to remember the name of anyone who ever comes into the cafe, and what they like to drink, and she encourages her employees to do the same. Did I mention that everyone there is incredibly friendly? Its a joy just to come in. The coffee is delicious. Meg takes great care in making the best espresso drinks Ive ever had. And the pastries are incredible -- perfect melt-in-your mouth scones that arent too sweet, with a variety of flavors. Incredible cakes. They have quiches and savory pockets as well. And the crepes are out of this world.

Quaint and cozy coffee shop not too far off the beaten track, located in Mount Airy section of Philly. The coffee is their own roasts. They have a selection of baked goods that makes youre mouth water every time you walk in! Their specialty is crepes and you Hanne ability to makes you own or choose from the menu. They are big supporters of luck artists with their paintings and photography hanging from the ceiling. The seats fill up fast but everyone there are very community driven and understand how to give up their seat if needed.

Need to redesign the layout of this place. Maybe put the counter at the back to open up the front and add more seating. If possible you might want to get rid of that wooden nothing along the left wall by the staircase just to open the place up even more. Please fix your wobbly tables or use the cups you sell (with the rubber tops) as your for here cups. Crepes are great! Coffee is good but coffee station is not ideally located.

When my girlfriend lived in Philly, she swore by this coffee. I trucked along with her most of the time, and while Im not big into coffee, the atmosphere and hot chocolate were enough. Staff is really sweet and remembers their customers well. They have a pretty decent selection of pastries and treats, and some options for gluten/dairy allergies. Cute little shop.

My second visit here suggests that it is a great location for a break in this neighborhood. Friendly staff, attractive baked goods, interesting services with metal ring inlays in the tabletops and countertops. They feature local artists. Note: no Wi-Fi and parking is very poor in the area; otherwise, a five-star location.

The coffee is the best youll ever have! Talk about your pick-me-up! Youll be running on all 8 cylinders! The pastries are superb and a great compliment. The crepes are mouth- watering. Im having the French toast crepe now. Its taking everything within me not to lose my dignity and lick the plate! Love this place!

Another Mt. Airy institution. The owner is a true Philadelphia and Mt. Airy resident and she runs a great business. The coffee is fantastic, the service in really, really great, and the shop is a great meeting place for friends and families. We go to have crepes and a beverage every once in a while. Thanks!

I dont think Ive ever had a better cup of coffee then at High Point Cafe. Meg who is the owner is exceptional with the way that she trains her Baristas to make coffee and she uses a special blend and it always tastes the same. High Point coffee is the best and the most reliable cup of coffee you can have.

The perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Their hot and iced coffee drinks are spot on every time that Ive been here. Service is friendly and recognizes familiar faces. Bring your own mug/thermos because they seem to have a bigger discount than most other coffee shops for going green.

Its my neighborhood coffee shop, and I have nothing but love for it. Couldnt start my day without a latte or an iced jasmine iced tea with lavender syrup. If only it were a little bigger - it would be nice to be able to work out of there or hang out with friends.

Just moved to Mt Airy and went to the Carpenter location a few times. each visit has been great - the baristas were professional and really down to earth. It reminds me of some of my favorite Cafes in Seattle and in New York. Will be back there often.

This is a great little coffee shop with a nice selection of pastries and crepes. Their coffee is top-notch and service is always grey. Seating inside is a little tight but theres some outdoor seating available as well.

Some of the best pastries youre going to find, backed with their excellent house-roasted coffee and delightful barristas, make this one of my all-time favorite neighborhood cafes. Check out both location in Mt Airy.

Orange zest for my excellent latte. Four kinds of nuts for my crepe. Even after I narrowed my choice down to a pastry made from local pears, I still had many choices... with frangipani? Hand pie? Pure joy.

Great place! Got a savory crepe which was phenomenal, although a bit pricey. Great coffee and deserts too! Perhaps the best thing is the atmosphere - everyone is super relaxed and there is great music playing.

Great selection of GF treats, baked goods, and the best coffee to be had in NW Philly. Have I mentioned the crepes? The baristas are friendly and it feels like Cheers, where everybody knows your name!

Coffee is good and well roasted but it always takes 5 minutes or more to take my order. There is usually 1 person in front of me.

Friendly, idiosyncratic, excellent pastry. How much you like it may depend on how you feel about Mt. Airy.

Coffee is good. Pastries are excellent. Too small to relax in.
