I went into the Night Kitchen for a lunch meeting and while I was waiting I was extremely impressed with how quickly the staff reacted to and assisted a large number of customers, who appeared in a short amount of time. And even though they were busy assisting the recently arrivied, they still kept up with their customers at the lunch tables. Not only does the Night Kitchen have an amazing assortment of baked goods - to die for, they also have a GREAT lunch menu. I have heard that they may be offering catering! NK to go!-what more could I ask for? I highly recommend the Night Kitchen for baked goods and lunch. The food is amazing and the service is refreshing. I LOVE it!!!

Well, I know everyone loves the icing and the cakes, but do you really want to spend $100 for a birthday cake? Get a life! I went in to ask about a cake for 20 people for my partner Richards 50th birthday party...with a tree, billiard balls & cue as designs. Please tell me why $100 is considered reasonable! ? ! When I gasped, the woman (sounding shocked) said she could probably do something a little smaller for $75. Never mind! I went up the street to CAKE, where I got a FABULOUS cake, 3 layers, designs and all, 2 different fillers between layers, for $34.00 !!! Go figure, but CAKE will always get my business from now on.

Brought a strawberry shortcake from the nite kitchen, the icing had so much butter in it "a heart attack ready to happen" asked the pastry chef about this artery clogging method, she replied thats how butter cream icing is suppose to be ("WHAT ARE U INSANE")The same is with most of there pastries, its like you can literally ring the butter out. I dont know, but maybe they have some type of butter fetish and they obviously dont acknowledge cholesterol. I was stuck with a horrible cake and could have used the icing to butter other foods at home. Oh yeah! The coffee is good ,please hold the butter.

I used to stop in just for coffee and a goodie, but with the lovely new space I like to stay for awhile. The breakfast strata is fantastic, and that same bacon on the little pizzas is great, too. They are making some really nice salads for lunchtime now, in case you want something other than all their well-known (and beautiful) baked goods. Must be a nice place to work - I always see the same staff there - and that feels good, too. Perhaps best of all they are really environmentally minded and a certified Green Restaurant something-or-other. Cool.

Top notch quality products! I went in for a taste because I wanted to order a specialty cake for my sons birthday, and I got hooked on their cupcakes. Their cake is moist and rich, and their icing is so smooth and rich as well. The employees are so nice and courteous, and they are really helpful when I call in for information. The only downside is that they are a bit pricey. Its definitely not something one on my budget could afford to eat every day. Overall, products are fresh and delicious, and their customer service is excellent. Good job!

I never liked Chinese sponge cakes until my cousin introduced me to the cakes from The Night Kitchen Bakery. Ive had plenty of Chinese cakes before but nothing like the ones made at The Night Kitchen Bakery. The ladies who work behind the counter are friendly too. These cakes are perfect for those who like light, airy cakes with fluffy whipped cream and fruit. They arent overly sweet, which is perfect for me and my family. You cant go wrong with strawberry or mixed fruit, and what a steal at $18 per 8" cake.

This place is the best. Everything they make is from scratch. No boxed mixes here and you can taste the difference. Whenever I need cake or get a craving for their brownies, which I just saw Rachel Ray give a shout out for them, I will drive there and get a box. And I live in North Wales, which is 30 minutes away. They are always friendly and helpful. I was there a few weeks ago when they were filming for a reality show. Not sure what channel it will be on. I will have to call them and ask.

Delicious French bakery. Love the onion/cheese quiche for lunch. The vanilla cheesecake cupcakes are Phillys most decadent value, imho. Theyve added sit down area inside and outside and the staff are the nicest! The challah is scrumptious, only wish theyd have raisin challah, too! A special occasion place, calories are a consideration here and yet, delicious food is also one of lifes great joys. So balance...balance....and enjoy!

We are planning to have a birthday party for my daughter at a place in Chestnut Hill that has a package which includes a cake from this bakery. My wife and I went there and tried a couple of cupcakes to get a sense of what the cakes might be like. We thought they were pretty bad. The crumb is really dense, almost cornbread-like, and they were not flavorful. We are getting the cake from someplace else.

The cake I ordered was for a Harry Potter themed party, and the cake itself came out beautiful, so Id like to thank the baker for the appearance. I gave it a three because I wasnt impressed with the marble cake flavor. I was instructed to leave the cake out for a minimum of five hours before serving, and I picked it up at 10:40am and served it at 3:30pm. It was dry and the flavor was a bit off.

The bakery is small and quaint. I walked in and the staff was sooooo welcoming and nice! I bought the walnut bars which are absolutely divine and the almond macaroons which were out of this world! They do not have a huge selection in the cafe but they have something for everyone. You can have a dessert, coffee/tea, lattes, sandwiches and other lunch items. Im definitely going back.

This is by far my favorite bakery! Everything is totally delicious (addictive, in fact), and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Even the iced coffee is made with coffee ice cubes! Also, I love that NK is a "green" bakery, doing everything it can to minimize its impact on the environment. Its a model that all businesses should follow.

My go-to bakery, especially when I want something special to bring to dinner at a friends house. Delicious cakes -- have never bought one I havent found to be delicious so far (and I doubt future results will ever disappoint me) -- and for really special occasions, the custom cake decorations are incredible. I highly recommend.

My family, who live in the area, and I have ordered cakes from the Night Kitchen for 20 years. I drive all the way down from NYC to get cakes at the Night Kitchen. They are exceptional. Worth the drive. Worth every penny. Every other cake disappoints. Love. Love. Love.

Good cookies, great cakes and pie, good sandwiches. Coffee is...not as tasty. Very bitter and rough. They do serve iced coffee with frozen coffee cubes, which is nice. Stick with the baked goods, however, and you cant go wrong.

One of my goals is to take every one of my friends out to lunch here at least once. They serve a delicious light lunch and the desserts are just amazing. The coffee is excellent too. Every person I have brought here has loved it.
