This place is incredible all of the gnocchi are amazing Ive been to Ralphs and all the other "popular" Italian spots downtown looking for that authentic Italian taste but no one handmade their good like Gnocchi does the ricotta gnocchi has the perfect soft taste to it since it has no potatoes in it. The broccoli robe doesnt burn its practically impossible. The spinach has four different cheeses its no wonder why I continue to go here Im in love with all of their food. Perfectly timed.. hard working staff and the chef goes out of his way to make sure all of the customers get what they want, need & more its amazing Ive never seen someone so proud of their work and decorate the plates to match the foods taste!!! I will continue to bring my family here. Btw on the menus it says Cash only its advertised before you enter the building

Found this place by mistake. Couldnt be happier. Cant wait to return!! Planned to visit on of our favorite restaurants on NYE, pulled up in an über to discover it was closed. Needed to find an open BYO (so we didnt spend all night carrying wine around)... Called Gnocchi, they said they could squeeze us in (table for 2). We just knew as soon as we walked in we had found a gem. Staff was amazing. They didnt rush us or make us uncomfortable. The waitress informed us it was a pre fixe nenu for NYE and walked us through the entire menu. She was friendly and knew her stuff. It was a tough decision, the menu had great options. We loved everything - the ambiance, the staff, THE FOOD! They saved us from eating crappy fried bar food before our movie. We really cant wait to return and try the full menu. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

We held our rehearsal dinner @ Gnocchi on a Friday night in December, and Sandro and his team absolutely delivered. For an extremely reasonable rate per person, we got four, hearty, delicious portions, and the service was on-point. (Plus, theyre BYOB!) We essentially reserved the restaurant from 5-7, and even though we stayed about a half hour past our end time, they never complained or rushed us out. They accommodated every single request, from how I wanted tables arranged, to putting out place cards, to dropping off cases of wine early, to remembering to put a candle in the birthday guests tiramisu. Before considering them for our rehearsal dinner, my husband and I dined there at least two or three times; the food is consistently top-notch, and the service is always efficient. We couldnt be happier with our decision.

I gave Gnocchi a chance, in spite of mixed reviews. Unfortunately, my experience tonight joins the one star list. I ordered the antipasto cheese plate, which was surprisingly bad. It was plated on warm lettuce with cheese tossed all over the plate; the cheese itself was also underwhelming. Thankfully we were allowed to send this dish back and have it removed from our ticket. I also ordered one of the chicken plates and my girlfriend had a gnocchi dish. The gnocchi on both dishes was incredibly dry and my chicken was served in what appeared to be some left over chicken broth from its time in the microwave. I have never before had to turn and run from a restaurant, but I did so tonight after parting with $60--an expensive lesson in where not to eat in Philly, if you ask me.

Have been coming to Gnocchi for years but hadnt been there too recently until last night. They have done some interior upgrades which are really nice. And as always, terrific service, delicious olive oil for dipping bread, the best gnocchi in Philadelphia (spinach is my favorite) and decadent Tiramisu. Was a little bummed to learn they they no longer offer their 2 for $25 mid-week special, but my husband and I always thought that deal was too good to last too long. Anyhow we enjoyed another delicious meal there last night and was so pleased to find a surprise slice of tiramisu in our bag of leftovers (ate a slice while at dinner but certainly didnt leave any on the plate to be packed to go) - Im 9 months pregnant and it was much appreciated when we got home!

Gnocchi is an AMAZING restaurant! Im so glad I got introduced to it. Its great Italian food and has amazing week-day specials. And the cherry on top - BYOB! Theres really no going wrong when you come to this place. Its perfect for any type of crowd - be it a date or a bunch of friends. Definite versatility, but at the same time very cozy! Just an FYI, every gnocchi tastes great, but the asparagus gnocchi is especially delicious!

Stale bread, okay appetizers, burnt grilled broccoli rabe, and easily the worst gnocchi Ive ever had. Went there with 4 other adults and 3 of us did not eat the food. Ive eaten in dozens of Italian places in the area and am warning you, do not go here. Also, place is cash only. This is fine but I saw no mention of it before it was time to pay the bill. This place will not last. Save your money and go to Ralphs on 9th street.

I was craving some Gnocchi, so I figured this was the place to go. However, if I were wandering and looking for a place to dine I would never step in. The food was surprisingly innovative, comforting, and well priced. But this place needs to seriously rethink its decor; especially the exterior.

Found this place on google and my goodness was it amazing. Definitely a place you would want to spend with your significant other. BYOB also makes it such an affordable night and the waiters are simply amazing. Well worth and convenient location. Definitely made our trip to Philly memorable!!!

Excellent little byo with surprisingly reasonable prices for the quality of food they deliver (I had the special gnocchi, and it was delightful). Its not edgy or surprising, but the food is great and the atmosphere cozy. A great place to share a bottle of wine and have a relaxing dinner.

My wife and I had the spinach gnocchi and the fish of the day, which was pomfret steamed with rosemary, garlic and olive oil. Both were very good. The waitress told me the cuisine was central Italian. The rest of the menu looked pretty good as well and the prices were reasonable.

We went to the restaurant on a Saturday evening at around 6:30pm. There was no wait and the food was served promptly. The gnocchi wasnt as good as I expected. I guess my expectations were too high! The restaurant is very cramped or at least were we were seated.
