We ate here today 6/13/16. Horrible. We had the sampler apps. Chicken tenders were over cooked. Onion rings under cooked. French Dip was very dry. My boyfriend ordered a Prime Rib. Well it didnt look anything like a Prime Rib. It had a gamey taste. He took a bite and then asked me to take a bite to see how it tasted. To me it tasted off and didnt look like any prime rib I ever saw. The rib looked like a giant over cooked pork chop with the bone in. We apologized to the waitress Kathy and she said why apologize I dont care, I didnt cook it. He sent it back and got the stromboli which was better, that was really good. MY french dip was dry and overcooked (i ate it anyway because I was starving) Upon paying they left the Rib on the bill. The "boss" didnt want to take it off the bill and informed the waitstaff he was very angry that we returned the Rib. He very grudgingly took the rib off the bill. But restated to the wait staff to tell us how angry he is with us for returning the food. Not worth the trip, or money. Outback has better Prime Rib and so does High Point. Very disappointed in the whole thing. Way to much hype for this place. Lucky I gave them 2 stars

I Moved from the Mecca of Fabulous Food S. Philly , to Jersey & had been Disappointed by Bland Meals UNTIL I had the pleasure of Dining at "Black Olive" in Vineland. Dec. 2 , 2013...The Food was Outstanding , The Staff Highly Professional , Courteous , Great Attention given to Our Dining Needs , Prices Very Reasonable Considering the Enormous Portions Enough for 2 Meals...Food OUT of this World Tasty..Huge Applaus to the Genius Chef for Our Crispy Fresh Seafood Combo , Ceasar Salad, Homemade Dipping Sauce With Cheesy Garlicky Soft Homemade Breadsticks..The Crabcakes & Stuffed Mushrooms are loaded with Lumbs of Fresh Crab..BLACK OLIVE RESTAURANT KNOWS HOW TO DO IT RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We always enjoy a pleasant meal at the Black Olive. The kitchen is able to prepare entrees as you like them - portions are generous and prices are reasonable. They recently added some acoustic sound buffers so the dining room is much quieter than in the past. Because its a very popular local restaurant that gets busy at the popular/usual meal-times, if you need to eat and run I recommend trying to go in on an off-time ... easier if you have a flexible life style.

My son was getting engaged at the beach. Owner of restaurant was there, but I didnt know he was the owner , He was touched by the way it was set up that he told my son and his fiancee dinner was on him that night. They went and where treated like royalty. The food was delicious,and the portion are enough to feed two big eaters. Will be back to buy gift certificate and have dinner. You must go!!!!

We have been eating at the Black Olive since it opened and they are one of our most favorite places to dine. The food is always good the staff is great and it is a very clean place. It represents what a family restaurant should be. They treat you as family and the staff makes sure that they get to know you and your family. My crab cakes had was more filler than crab. Under seasoned also. Expect better for $18. My baked potato was good though it was getting cold before I got the extra sour cream that I asked for when I placed my order. The bus boy/ servers helper was very nice and was better our server. My friend ordered the Chicken Parm and it was great. Maybe their Italian food is the way to go.

First of all, the staff is incredible. Lovely people, all of them. The food is terrific. You never leave hungry, thats for sure. It is a great place to either go for a quick bite by yourself or bring the family. They accommodate you no matter what.

This place is 5 star all the way!! Super fast and friendly service, the food is always piping hot and phenomenal!!! On New Years Eve we went, didnt have a reservation and were seated in less than 15 minutes!! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

March 6, 2016. The Black Olive is the best Italian restaurant I have ever dined at. The veal scallopini was excellent. The staff superior. No wonder the place was crowded.
