One of the best brunches in Philly. This place is tiny and intimate but much bigger than it looks when you first come in. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. The menu is a creative and tantalizing blend of Lebanese and French cuisine. I had the grilled lamb which was fabulous. I wish the grits were seasoned but the rest of the dish was perfection--the flavors complimented each other perfectly. Our service was impeccable. Several waiters checked on us constantly and everything we asked for was brought promptly. We did feel rushed st the end of our meal, but they did it in a rather subtle manner and being in the industry I understand how important it is to turn tables during peak hours. This place is perfect for a girls brunch or intimate lunch dinner. Next time Ill try one of their many flavored mimosas.

I do realize Im giving one star to a highly regarded place. Here is why: checked it out today based on all these ecstatic comments on Google reviews. I had tried Sabrinas and Green Eggs before and cant wait to go back. Here is my experience: unbelievably pricey for breakfast food (no meal under $18 unless you want something small or simple), the decor is blah, especially in the darkish windowless room in the back (reminded me of a suburban diner), the staff was not attentive, La Colombe coffee was burnt and bitter, and guess what, we ended up ordering three meals, one sweet and two savory, and NONE were anything special. Did I walk out hungry and extremely disappointed? No. Will I come back? Why would I, given that there are so many much better brunch spots in Philly.

Cafe La Maude is a not-so-hidden gem that does not disappoint for brunch. Cafe La Maudes French-Middle Eastern brunch fusion is one of my all-time Philly favorites. The flavors are bold and its easy to find a non-traditional take on your brunch item. My favorite thing on the menu has to be the brisket quesadilla, which comes with chips and guacamole, a bean dip, and the aforementioned quesadilla. The brisket is juicy, and the cheese portion is generous, making this a hearty choice (Ive taken to boxing half of it for lunch the next day). The prices are a little higher than other brunch places nearby, but it is also not usually as crowded. The out-of-the-ordinary menu also ensures that you try something a little different to start your day.

I should not even have to justify this rating with a review. I used to go to honeys (about 3 or 4 years ago) until one day I picked up a rue la la voucher for this place. That week I came back two more times, and I have not been anywhere else for brunch/breakfast in the city since. This is the ONLY place in the city where you can be made to feel like part of a family and eat the best food you have ever had at the same time. Everything on the menu is amazing; however, if you have not tried the caramel late or the hot chocolate I strongly recommend both. Also be adventurous when you go and try something different on the menu! If you are unsure what to get just ask someone behind the counter.

Oh my gosh, Ive lived in Northern Liberties for about 3 years, and I cant believe that its taken me this long to visit this gem! Out of all the breakfast/brunch joints in the neighborhood (of which there are many) La Maude is my favorite. Their menu is made up of French Lebanese dishes that are just to die for. Seriously, between the multiple breakfasts that my husband and I have shared there, we must have tried at least half their menu and literally everything weve had has been phenomonal. The decor of the restaurant is a fun take on the classic French cafe. If youre visiting the area, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a meal at La Maude!

The absolute best place to eat in philly. Just look at the reviews, even on other maps. Must get the orange juice and the coffee, but nothing Ive had was less than incredible. It makes it worth coming to philly. The service and especially the hands on owner are very nice. If something is wrong, let them know. The atmosphere is clean, beautiful, intricate and warm but not bust looking. Its a calming place. Update: service and only gotten better and the food is still ridiculously, absurdly good.

Delicious and rustic... love everything about the place its a diamond in the rough. The passion and talent going through this place is quite rare. Its all about the food and experience you have there. Im never in a rush to leave and never feel rushed to leave. Ive only had breakfast and let me tell you I cant get enough of how delish everything I order is And the eclectic variety of ingredients that create such masterpieces is a gift and a rare one at that. Love this spot its wonderful.

Went here with girlfriend and sister. Been to a few brunches in Philadelphia including Front Street Cafe and Green Eggs. There was a short wait, of approx 15 minutes on Monday after new years, so it wasnt too bad. The cafe was kind of small from the outside but inside it had good space. The food quantity was reasonable. I had a kafta sandwich - the meat was well cooked but the rest of it was a little too soggy and had too much dressing on it. The food was fairly priced. Would recommend.

By far, BEST brunch in Philly!!!! Gabe and Nathalie has poured their heart and soul into this place. Gabes hospitality and his lovely wife, Nathalies exquisite menu selections make guests feel like your having lunch at your best friends home. Listen, any place can make coffee, but tie in this worldly, finger licking food, the gorgeous french cafe ambiance, and love, from the owners and staff, and you have found your newest favorite. Put this on your list of "musts." Lyn & Tony

I found this place when i moved to NoLibs to watch my friends house for a year. Every morning for well over a year, I started my morning with two of the best barristas in Philly. I not only loved their coffee and breakfast, but the 630 Am atmosphere, that I had to tear myself away from just to make it to work on time. I have watched them grow from a coffee shop i visited before sunrise to a truly five star breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. THE best breakfast in all of Philly!

Adorable little cafe with a wide selection of Mediterranean fusion cuisine and great coffee. Came in on a Wednesday for brunch with my parents and was promptly seated, though I was told it gets quite busy on the weekends. I got the brisket huevos rancheros while my folks split the green shakshuka. Would definitely recommend both. Didnt hurt that the owner was genuine in his interactions, and did not hesitate to exchange some quick stories. Overall, great experience.

I havent lived in Philadelphia for over two years but I can tell you that whenever I visit, I make sure to schedule a meal at Cafe la Maude. The food is so delicious that no other lunch spot compares. I am a creature of habit, so I used to always order the french toast, but then something prompted me to try one of their salads and now I have sampled probably half of the menu. It is honestly all delicious. It is definitely a destination for me, but well worth it.
