It is rare that I give out a one-star rating, but it is warranted in this case. As a disclaimer, I normally do not like Golden Corral, however, the person I was with insisted we go. However, I still made my best effort to be objective in judging the Corral. First off, we got charged $15 (with tax) each for our meals, even though we went at 2 PM. As the sign I took a picture of indicates, "Premium Weekends" normally take place after 4 PM. However, we got charged so much because they charged us for a "premium weekend" dinner. The manager said that all other Golden Corrals go by the sign, and they all get the same sign, but this location in particular starts "premium dinner" at 11 AM. If this isnt nonsensical I dont know what is. What an unprofessional way of nickel and diming your customers, Golden Corral! No one eats dinner at 11 AM, and they know it. You dont post a sign that is wrong, its unprofessional and unethical. Also, they didnt even have real butter. Instead, they had a cheap knockoff buttery spread made by Land O Lakes. I give you guys real money, so give me real butter! Also, when getting ice cream, I indicated that they should use a separate scoop because I have a food allergy, but the woman said they only have one scoop and they rinse it off. Considering that cross-contamination is life-threatening for me, this was pretty unreasonable. This wasnt terrible, but what was terrible was an incident that happened shortly after. A little boy went up to the dessert counter and asked for cotton candy. The woman rudely said to the little boy, "Youre not really going to make me turn it [the cotton candy machine] on, are you?" I was appalled to hear the way that this employee treats a customer, especially considering he was a young boy. I can guarantee you this woman will not get fired because management is just as bad! At one point, the guest I was with was taking a picture of the desserts (because they looked good). The manager told her pictures were not allowed. What are you trying to hide Golden Corral? A restaurant that does not allow pictures is not one you should be going to. Perhaps they do not want pictures being taken because they are trying to hide their mediocre food and rude employees! In general, businesses are supposed to be transparent, and ones that do not allow photography should be approached with caution (unless there is a legitimate reason for the ban). In this case, there is none. In terms of the food, it is what you would expect from a buffet like Golden Corral. It was mediocre, but not terrible. To top off our visit, on the way out, the entire exit was roped off with stanchions. In order to exit, we had to step over the ropes. This is extremely dangerous! My foot actually got caught on the rope, and I nearly tripped. The incompetent manager was standing right there, and did not apologize or do anything to fix this situation. On the plus side, the waitress who cleaned our table was very nice and attentive. Also, the restaurant appeared to be brand-new, and it was pretty clean. With that being said, I cannot possibly recommend that anyone go to this restaurant, until both managers and the dessert employee are fired.

It was on a pleasant Sunday night (08/13/2017) that we decided to enjoy dinner at Golden Corral on our way back to Maryland from a 2 day camping trip at Cape May. Our group consists of 32 members of which 18 were kids and 14 were their parents. We all entered to the restaurant and lined up accordingly. The Manager was looking at everyone with suspicion for no reason. Parents had to be with their kids just to pay and exit as all parents decided to not eat there. While kids were eating, all parents had to wait for them outside around the front parking lot. After a while, the manager called 911 and we saw a cop rushing to us and asked if "everything is OK". We told him "everything is going well". I had to write this review to reflect: 1. The managers customer handling skill is horrible. 2. It seems that he does not have any business concept at all. I was extremely upset with his actions.

very over priced.. to start.. soup was old and cold (cream of broccoli) the food on the counter was either very old or gone.. the steak thats advertised on tv was so tough I choked on it and bent my knife cutting it.. the rice was like rocks the cotton candy machine was also broken . I asked for the manager,it took 20 minutes for him to come to me.. I explained the food and showed him. he at 1st offered free coupons for next time then I asked for a refund he told me he was going to ask the owner and hell be back.. he came back and told us he cant do anything..no coupons and no refund because we ate some.. how do you KNOW if its bad if you dont try it? I will never go to another golden corral.. it used to be a good place clean and managed well.in this past year it has gone down hill and I will not recommend it to anyone..

Well Im one with great customer service and expect the same.. And if I can say something positive or negative about the place I will.. I did leave a note for the manager to work on.. Everything was great food and cleaningnes of the place.. My waitress was excellent.. Young girls at the register need to smile.. Especially being the first face that represents the place.. A little greeting or smile goes a long way.. Your employees behind the steak Grill arguing in front of me and other customers.. Who. They need to work on that outside premises.. Lady behind cold salads really needed a smile.. She look like she hated her job along with the place.. I love the place its great.. Just some feed back.. On some positive and negative to work on..

My husband and my four children and i were st golden corral this past sunday and the man marking the deserts was coughing all over what ever he was preparing at the time witch was the blue berry pie.So my husband told the managers and the manager instead of tacking care of the problem ask my husband if he work and the food industry and my husband said yes and the manager said and you never cough so my husband said not all over the food and the manager got loud and went back and grab a rack of rice crispy treats and said see its sealed in front of the whole restaurant and than proceeded to complain about my husband to the man that was coughing all over the deserts.

I been there so many times and love the food. However, today I didnt get a good impression about the lady owner. She was nasty to my 2 kids, 2 and 4 years old. They were playing with their balloons and she them to go home and play with your balloon. I lost my appetite and left. They just lost a whole family of 4 people and other friends that I would have recommended them to go here. So if you have kids, STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
