Oh dear Sweet & Sara, gift to vegans and others everywhere : ) ! I used to purchase Sweet & Sara marshmallows online from a vegan food supplier, after learning that (horrors!!!) "real" marshmallows were made from really nasty parts of our four-legged friends. Little did I know that Sweet & Saras heavenly animal-free puffs were made right here in the NYC area~! So, a few months ago I purchased a Groupon for Sweet & Sara, having known them and loved them for ages. And yes--when I went to redeem the Groupon online, I discovered that the shipping costs were rather atrocious. Seeing as how you can pick your goodies up at the factory in LIC if you are so inclined, I decided to do just that. Oh, treats upon treats!!! I got to meet the real "Sara" behind Sweet & Sara, and Im delighted to say that she totally rocks!!!! We talked for a good long time about veganism. food politics, marshmallows, etc...then, she let me pick out my Groupon goodies from a table heaped with vegan deliciousness. Oh, the marshmallows! Oh, the smores! Oh, the biscotti!!!! I actually think the best thing was the vegan rice krispy treats. Oh nom nom nom to it all!!!! I rode the 7 train home in a state of vegan sweet heaven....

Within just one dining experience, Awadh distinguished itself as one of the best Indian Restaurants I have visited. The menu items at Awadh are not necessarily what youd find at your typical Indian establishment; that is because the culinary staff have made it their priority to celebrate the food of a specific region that showcases sophisticated, rich flavors that are mild but booming. As I observed other guests around me, I could not help but notice the unique and exciting presentation of the meals, food that is art to both the eyes and the taste buds. Everything I tasted surpassed by expectations and certainly will keep me coming back for more in the future. It is important to note that the service here was also exceptional. The staff were welcoming, generous, and sincere. All this being said, I am happy to highly recommend Awadh to friends, family, strangers alike.

Food was tasteless..but that is fine..their treatment pricked me...if you order less price items from the menu..they treat you very badly (as we had heavy lunch we decided to eat light dinner). As we ordered the bartendars face turned yellow and he informed his owner and immediatly things changed...like replacing beautiful glass plates with small white plates..there wer no spoons when asked, we got 2 very small spoons and 1 very big one (we were 4) we asked for another one and the barternder got smallest possible spoon as if they dont have spoons :( I was humiliated with their treatment.

Excellent Indian restaurant, an important addition to dinning on the Upper West Side. For a place serving excellent Indian cuisine its prices are reasonable; service is good to excellent. The specialties (from Awad, India) are always a good choice. Been there many times with two or four, and never a second-rate experience. Went once with twelve and they worked well with us to provide a feast that all (including vegetarians, lacto-intolerant, and generally picky eaters) could enjoy.

Food was great. The bartender is experienced and knows customer service and understands peoples needs by just looking since the servers or whoever was assigned to attend us obviously didnt since they wanted to be only focused on their phones. I commend the bartender for telling the servers how to do their job. Next time I will walk to the back and give the cooks the tip for the food and we will sit at the bar for quality service.

The food at this place is amazing; however, service has been deteriorating. My first visit was 3 months ago and I was very happy with the experience, I decided to go back a couple of days ago and the hostess was very impolite and rude. I had to wait 2 hours when I was supposed to wait 45 minutes. Next time I will order delivery or take out, I definitely love the food, but I cannot tolerate bad customer service.

Absolutely delicious! Came in a few days after they had just opened- very elegant decor and attentive service. Had the lamb chops, crispy okra and galouti kebab on the servers recommendation, all very flavorful. Sorbet for dessert, yum! Will return with more folks so we can try out a larger selection.

The food was DELICIOUS but the service was very poor. They seated us in a corner right next to the cash register and the waiter practically threw his pen at us to start of the interaction. We continued to be ignored all night right up to when the waitress brought us a check for the wrong table.

I m giving this 2 star just bcoz my husband like the food, however, food severed in extremly in low qantity and overprized as well. 3 small pieces of dalcha palak tikka cost us $10. Plus restrooms are not properly maintained.( flush was not working+ No hand soap)

Awadh is on the expensive side, but utterly delicious. Definitely a place to eat in, rather than get delivery or take-out-- youre paying for the ambiance, so you might as well enjoy it, and it is a lovely space.

Awesome Lucknawi food. Just made our day. Galauti kebab was super awesome. We couldnt stop ourselves from ordering 15+ items from the menu. Everything was worth every penny. Shahi tukda in desert was my fav.

I visited this place on the very first day of 2017. Food was preety good. But the thing which disappointed me was quantity. Food quantity was extremely less. Management should focus on quantity as well.

Food is expensive and portion is small. Ordered lamb shank and baby goat. The lamb shank is bland and smallest I have ever seen. However the goat is quite tasty. $6 for a plain naan is a ripoff.

A small place that has a line of standard indian dishes with a small twist. They make some of the best galoti kabab. Must recommend for lovers of indian fine dining.

The food was great. The staff is good. I would recommend go for lunch when is not super crowded, because the only problem is that some tables are way to close.

Great Indian food in a fabulous setting. The lamb biryani is highly recommended. Only downside: the staff pushes you to consume more than you want, so resist!

One of the best Indian restaurants in NYC. Try the Lobster so good. Friendly staff, great drinks and good sized portions. Price for portions is a great deal.
