Im so incredibly bummed. I really liked this bar. The atmosphere is pretty cool, and its nice that they can accommodate live music and a DJ on the same night. My bartender was nice and friendly, always quick. So why the 2 stars? I went out for a cigarette with a friend, and went to go back inside only to be told that we werent allowed back in because its 1:15. It was 1:20 then. Okay, so you have a silly rule, I guess thats whatever. Its a stupid rule, but if youre gonna kick people out over a half hour before they expect it, how about you post a sign or mention it as people are exiting? I was not one of the MANY people voicing their anger at this goofy rule, but I was so disappointed that we had no warning. I was separated from my friends and had to wait in the cold until they came out because my keys were inside. I will not be returning, and I likely would have otherwise. Props to the guy manning the door, he was working like a champion to enforce a rule that he thinks is just as dumb too. Boo management :(

We had been eyeing up the rooftop area as our room at the Marriott overlooked it. The roof is indeed quite a nice location, and if you are up for only drinks it sort of works. However, if youre hungry dont expect to eat within a reasonable timeframe. We ordered apps from the bar and they took over an hour. We didnt even get a chance to try the entrees because they stopped taking orders for the kitchen and wouldnt take the rest of our order. Apparently the too small kitchen cant handle the overall concept for the place. Now, to be honest we were warned by the staff about the kitchen delay and the food we did get was good. The drinks were good as well, but again it suffers in execution. An overworked bar staff was struggling to make drinks, deliver drinks and food, clean up the empties, bus tables, etc. Overall, if they want to offer food and drinks, they need to invest in a bigger kitchen and more staff or scale back on the roof. It is amazingly inviting, but suggest you show up with a LOT of patience.

In terms of individuality- Tellus is where its at. I really enjoy that there are multiple levels with the option of different bar areas. While the first level is the coziest- love the decor, what really sells it for me is the roof area. Theres really nothing like being able to sip a cold beverage and look out over the city. The winter time is a different story. Prepare to never take your coat off again, because even full of people its a fridge in there. I was a little peeved that day- I ordered nachos and had to wait about 45 minutes for them to arrive, only to discover that they had doused the entire thing with sour cream after I asked them not to. I want to like this place. 3 stars, but only because they had Nugget Nectar that day.

Went to hear the Shrimpboat band.. paid our cover and waited patiently for the concert.. No seats, fine.. poor lighting, fine.. horrible sound, NOT fine.. I dont know if what looked like the " sound expert" was part of the band or part of Tellus staff.. all I know is that he was not able to balance a good sound in the not so big concert room. Impressive mixing board, probably to impress the young customers, but please, for the next concert, hire a pro. I had high expectations for this band, they are very talented musicians, but all I was able to hear was echo waves, a pastrami of sound and the DJ next door pumping note louder than the live band. Great venue if you are 21.. 22 and older.... go somewhere else.

The first floor is where you go for the Irish pub that hosts DJ and live events, as well as a club with a dance floor. The second floor is where you go to get further from the band, but still hear the music. And there is a cafe or something that appears to be always closed. The third floor is basically a large frat house game room in the front, and the back reminds me of the seating in a Bobs Big Boy if Bobs Big Boy had a live DJ and dance floor. The fourth floor is where you go to drink and do yoga outside. Im sure there is more. I have been there over a dozen times and Im certain I havent seen the entire place yet.

Im not a picky eater, I eat anything and everything, but I finished the half chicken only because it cost $15. This chicken was said to be soaked in sauce for two days. Chicken was dry and hard to eat. At times, I thought I chipped my tooth. I would give it a 1/10. The 1 is out of respect of the dead chicken. I also got the burger and it was done at medium well, Id give it 6/10, bread was a little tough to pull apart once you got your teeth in there. Corn was wrapped in foil, served cold and tasted a little old. Beer was served cold and best part of my meal. Im giving this a 3/5 cause I like partying here at night.

I Will never EVER come back here again. On a Friday night after smoking a cigarette before last call, two "bouncers" literally threw me to the curb while trying to locate my girlfriend who was still inside. Whats the point in stamping my hand if I cannot re-enter to get who I came with. And judging by the male crowd inside my girlfriend was not in a safe place to be alone. I have never felt more man-handled In my life when forced out. There were probably 150+ people still inside. A disgusting display of staff misconduct.

I got dragged here with some friends, not really my thing. The place was packed. There was a variety of people from 21 to like 75 seriously which surprised me. They had a good variety of music. The service wasnt the greatest, woman will get served faster then men at least while I was there . They have a pretty cool bar downstairs, small quite. They turn the lights on a little after one and start kicking people out thought that was a little odd. Overall if your into clubs you would probably like it here.

Stopped by for an early dinner and got fast service and surprisingly good food! The house salad was nicer than most and my husband got a great turkey pesto sandwich that I just had to steal some bites of ;) The atmosphere is a bit rowdy even on an early Saturday evening, but is so big that you can find your own space easily. You order from one of the two bars and they bring your food to wherever you set up camp. Would definitely come back with friends/family.

Absolutely loved it!!! It is rooftop dining/drinking or nothing. This area really sells the whole place. Gorgeous rooftop with a stone walkway, there was a band and lot of people just enjoying themselves. I ordered the margarita, which did not come with a sugar or salt coated rim, but was good none the less. Ambiance was great and bartender was great. Will recommend if you are looking for a nice spot to drink and socialize.
