Last night some friends, my husband, and I went to Ichiban. I started out with a Sapporo beer, always tasty. This one was served in a 22 oz. can with a frosty mug and cost $7.25. I ordered Ichiban Special Roll, which had yellowtail, tuna, avocado, cucumber and masago. It was very good, the fish was tender like butter and the masago had a nice texture. I would definitely come here again just for the sushi. I found it comparable to Blue Pacific sushi but not quite as good. I finally ordered hibachi chicken. The meal started out with a clear soup with one lonely, thin sliced mushroom and a couple slices of scallion. It was flavorful and I did enjoy the soup but found it too salty. Next came the salad. The greens were crisp and fresh but the dressing was also too salty. It was a ginger based dressing and had a lot of potential except for the saltiness; I also thought there was a bit too much dressing on the greens, they were pretty much swimming. Our hibachi chef was friendly and entertaining, but not as exciting to watch as other hibachi grills where I have eaten. The vegetables were grilled perfectly: zucchini, carrot, onion and shredded cabbage. The shrimp flambe was well executed as well, with a sweet caramel glaze on from the flame. The fried rice was ok, although this also was a bit too salty for me while the flavor was still bland. The chicken was overcooked and drier than I like. The portion size was good, I took leftovers home with me. All in all it was a good time with friends and I will be back for the sushi but will not likely have the hibachi again.

We walked out of this restaurant. We walked in, and stood waiting for some time. Eventually, they just pointed at a table for us to sit at. First of all, the table was very tall and the chairs were very low. Smaller members of my family couldnt see over the table. Taller members of my family still found the table to be much to tall for them. There are very few vegetarian options, and we sat at the table for a while, but no body came over to us, and didnt even give us water. We ended up sneaking out of the restaurant one by one. Will never return. Very dissatisfied.

I disliked this place for a couple different reasons 1 the man that cooked our food didnt interact with us at all any hibachi places weve been to they always talk and entertain and this didnt happen and the other reason was the food my husbands lobster was over cooked, the vegetables were very under cooked and the rice was very tasteless for starters. My husband and I dont get to go out together very often and we were very upset that we wasted our time and money on this place we definitely wont refer anyone go there nor will we ever be back!!!!

Unfortunately, I have to change my previous review and rating. The sushi was served to us old, with a heavy metallic taste, which made us sick once we were home. Both bathrooms, vomiting for quite some time, sick. This place used to be quite delightful, but it seems they have no regard for the health, happiness and overall well-being of their customers. When this was brought up to the staff, they dismissed us as being confused. Avoid at all costs. While the service is relatively good, the food has taken a serious dive in quality.

The food is outstanding but each time I go I feel like the show is a little less impressive each time. The cooks seem to be getting more and more casual about putting on a show. Maybe they just have newer or more inexperienced chefs here and they cant do the same showmanship I remember from hibachi. The food is still excellent though and the prices are pretty reasonable EXCEPT for having a stupid upcharge on the fried rice... Never seen a place that charged you extra like that.

Food wasnt fixable. Service was ok. But the rice was not good. The steak was not good. The veggies not good. Ill not ever be back. The locals at my table told me how great it was and they must not understand what good is. I like my food to have flavor. I coulda saved it with a1 covering it all to hide shitbag flavor but nope. They dont have any. The dragon next door has 20 people go in before we started eating so I bet it is better. Ill try it tomorrow and let you know.

Great place for dinner. The place is expensive yes, however the food is great. The shrimp appetizers are great, the chicken liver is amazing also, you cant go wrong with either. With main entrees the chicken, steak, filet mignon, and shrimp are all great. Did not eat deserts because I was too full all the time. If you have the time give this place a chance, the wait for tables and food can be long on the weekends.

The food was good.... But our chef was lacking. No show just pretty much cooked the food and lit some onions on fire. Was disappointed in that they didnt remember to wish my son a happy birthday. At least the food tastes good. But Id your looking for entertainment with your hibachi experience I would choose another restaurant.

We sat at a full table and waited the entire time for some sort of show, something to warrant a $25 meal, but nothing not even a single flame. When everyone at the table brought it up to the hostess she made a look like we were all crazy and she had never been to a habachi before. Will never go back

My wife and I have finally gotten to eat there. Unfortunately only for take out. We had sushi. Was some of the best Ive tasted in Lancaster. Fresh, clean, and flavorful. The little we were inside looked extremely clean smelled amazing. Cant wait to get in there with my wife for a date night.

My friends, wife and I have eaten here many times and the hibachi grill is one of the few in the area (besides Toyko Diner). 1st and 2nd time there my kids enjoyed the show, but after that it was old on me. Food of course is great and my kids devour it without a breath.

Went late and missed out on chicken livers...All out. Hibachi cook Catered to woman at our table with a onion allergy/aversion. Very nice service and great sushi. Little expensive but ate two meals with what I took home from hibachi grill.

over priced bad service and they charge you 3.95 for refills and say you are drunk and try to give you waterer and the waitress was horrible and took an hour to get drinks! it is horrible and i am never coming back!!! they suck!!!!!!!!!

This is best hibachi place in Lancaster, hands down. The ownership is great, the cooks are entertaining, the food is delicious! Great for group events, or just a meal with family or friends! Definitely a recommendation!
