The service is exceptional. Very friendly wait staff. Owner really cares about cleaniness and quality. In fact, I saw how they clean and they clean every chair and table top to bottom. The food I ordered was excellent for the price I paid. Atmosphere is relaxed. Music is relaxing. Only two places I eat Sushi. Las Vegas and Otani.

My wife and I decided to compare a different sushi place to our regular place, Hanas in Piney Orchard, and chose this one based on the reviews. Atmosphere and service were great but we were disappointed with the salmon sushi. Salmon portions were small and werent as fresh as we are accustom to. It was okay but we wont be going back.

Otani is a great new restaurant in Crofton. It has an amazing interior that you frankly wouldnt expect for the area. The food is also amazing and they have an menu that has some very creative Japanese dishes. I love eating there and love the service...I have been back more than a few times now and plan to keep going.

One of our favorite sushi spots in the area. The atmosphere, food, and staff are all fantastic. For the sushi in particular, aside from the usual nigiri and sashimi, they have a wide variety of locally created rolls and the chefs seem to be pretty creative. The staff is extremely attentive throughout the meal.

The best sushi in the region in my opinion. Excellent, completely fresh food. Exquisite presentation. Prompt, friendly, helpful service. Extremely clean restaurant (important with sushi!) Really nice, appropriate music playing in the background. Have been there several times and will go back again tonight.

Dont be put off by the dimly-lit, ho-hum exterior. Once you step inside, it will immediately become clear that you are in a fine dining establishment. The food is excellent, and its presentation phenomenal. Everything was very fresh, including the flower used as a garnish for the flavorful vegetable tempura.

Wife and I are regulars here because we like quality sushi and in this area otani is like our hidden gem. We sit at the bar and often get taken care of by their very creative sushi chefs. Besides being a hole in the wall in a old strip mall once you walk in you will be pleasantly surprised.

As a local guide and sushi lover, this place has a special place in the hearts of my girlfriend and I. While there price is a bit high, the quality and service makes up for it. I didnt have to poor my own beer, the entire time I was here and they were extremely attentive. A+++

I did not realize how close I lived to this restaurant. The sushi is hands down the best Ive had since I moved to Maryland. It looks really nice inside and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This might be my go-to spot from now on.

Otani is the only place i go for sushi in the area. The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the sushi is great. Now it is a bit on the expensive side compared to other places but in my opinion it is absolutely worth it.

My favorite sushi spot. I love when the light the roll on fire. I forget the name but its the best there! Ask about it! And the shrimp tempura roll is my new addition. The staff are pleasant and welcoming.
