Im not one to really review on a place, but this one I just could not seem to let slip by. Yesterday was my daughters graduation and we decided to celebrate at City Works. Upon arriving there was about a 30 minute wait. We received the text and they seated us promptly to a table that was not ready to be seated at. We were given menus, however we were not offered a kids menu for my 5 year old. The waiter, whos attitude seemed like we were wasting him time, took our order. As the order came out, we did not get any tableware. When asked, I suppose the waiter did not hear us because he wasnt focused on us, rather the next table of young ladies being seated. Our calamari appetizer was also extremely undercooked. We requested to have cooked longer. They made a whole new batch (which was much better). As we were finishing up the food, the waiter places our check on the table without offering desserts (we went to celebrate). Will not be returning.

Okay, so I just had to leave a review on this place now that my boyfriend and I have gone three times already and LOVED IT. We can never seem to sit at a table which I was a bit disappointed...at first. After being able to just go right to the bar and sit down, order drinks, apps, etc. it is the only place I want to sit now! The food is amazing and I always have to get the fried pickles. They are the best. Now on to the drinks, I am the most indecisive person ever and all I do is say hey, this is what I like and they whip me up something super delicious! The bartenders are super friendly and make sure everyone is happy no matter how busy. My boyfriend loves all the beer on tap and the fact that the bartenders know about every single one amazes me. If you havent been City works yet, GO and if you cant get a table, run to the bar and ENJOY.

Went on sunday for late lunch. Each of us had a burger which is made with a blend of brisket and shortrib. Stellar blend! I got the sriracha and she got the peppercorn. We enjoyed cheese curds to start which were fluffy and tasty with a smokey dipping sauce. Service was just fine and pleasant. Can see why there are negative reviews. There were way too many kids/babies for the type of place. So obviously we got alot of unhappy parents looking to find fault with everything they encounter. Beer selection was great. We arent SNOBS so we didnt need 50 different ipas to fawn over. 14.50 for 2 beers IS robbery though. Will definitely go back. Burgers are awesome and seating is cozy. Saw a family with an infant sitting on the table....classy!

Adding this to the last of our favorite restaurants! Long beer menu was impressive (we always wish there were more darker IPAS on tap menus, there were 3!) Had the duck reuben and it was amazing! The mushroom flatbread was also fabulous - super thin crust and great toppings! My husband liked the Carolina chicken. Our server was really knowledgeable about the beer menu and gave great recommendations. The girls at the host stand were great. We were going to try the "communal table", where you get seated with strangers, but when we walked over there definitely was not enough elbow room for our comfort so we waited the 15 minutes for our own table. Great experience. Cant wait to go back and try more!

Had a great time with the wife and 1 year old in February 17. The place was clean and well organized. Kids menu had lots of options. Had the duck confit nachos and clam chowder. Both hit the mark for sure. The place was packed but really surprised at how well the sound was muted by the intricate noise deadening in the ceiling. wait staff couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating. The beer selection is wiiiiiide, but uninspired. Lots of crowd pleasers. If youre in search of that rare keg of Treehouse, looking a Sip of Sunshine, or waiting for a PTY release, go somewhere else.Half a star lost for that. Other half off is because of the dyson airblades. Get some old fashion hand towels.

My wife and I decided to check out this spot on a whim. Cool environment and big screens all around. However, the food was a different story. Ordered the Duck Confit Nachos and the duck was cold, cheese partially solidified and nachos stuck together. Ordered the regular burger and it was over cooked (asked for medium and got well done) and the bun was hard. Im not trying to be overly dramatic but the burger was probably the worst Ive had to date and not worth the $13. My wifes Duck Reuben was also cold along with her fries. This is not the experience we believe warranted a $50 check and will not be returning. I wanted to like this place but it did not deliver by any means.

Great atmosphere and bar selection let down by bland, mushy food. Went with a group and the place was full, which we took as a good omen. The service was fine as well. But we ordered some "shareables" which were not really deserving of the name. When the crab fondue comes with 2 slices of overly buttered bread for 4 people, you get the strong sense it wasnt thought through well. We tried some other food but the overwhelming concensus was that the food lacked any distinction, lacked flavor, was mostly the consistency of mush (what cat food must taste like), and was undeserving of a return visit. Good beer can be had elsewhere with a better menu.

I know this place just opened but they have some large hurdles to overcome. The Bar Service is just bad, Ill give them the benefit of the doubt and will try this place again in a month or so, but they need to work on their shift changeover process, its a nightmare. The beer selection is very very mediocre. Considering they are touting themselves as a beer bar, they need to get more creative. Food is expensive and below average in quality/taste.....so in my book that doesnt mix well. The venue is cool, great outdoor seating section. Again the design of the venue does not help overcome all of the other shortcomings.

Smacked in the face from jump street when I ordered a glass of cabernet and it was $16. They have wine kegs and I was told the only vinyard that offers kegs is expensive. The other glasses were 9-12 bucks. Not a good start. However...the bartenders and who I assumed was the manager were very responsive to my concerns. We had an appetizer and a wrap which in all honesty were very good. One last concern...the mens room. There is probably seating for 500 in this place and they have two urinals and one stall. All that beer on tap....and thats all we get???

Met up with a few friends here for drinks and convo and this was perfect for what we were looking for. More of a sports bar, this is a great spot for a casual gathering. Food was pretty good...be sure to try their signature buffalo shrimp. Outside parking can get interesting during peak hours simply because the center is full of shops but there is a free parking lot within walking distance. Staff was great and tap beers are specially made. Wine selection is decent as well.
