Did the person David S. honestly review an entire establishment based off of a phone call? Sounded to me like he had good service, someone that was polite and excited to be at work and explained that it is no longer a hotel, but they still have goods he may be interested in trying while visiting in the area. Honestly, keep your city-slickin hiney in the city and enjoy your overpriced beers. That being said, Rawlinsville Bar & Restaurant is rich in its history. If youre expecting sparkling floors, this isnt the place for you. However, if you want EXCELLENT food and pleasant and friendly service, I encourage you to stop by. What makes this place beautiful is 100+ year old floors that are hand-sawed with a lot of the original squared blacksmith nails. This is an establishment that 100 years ago, made a contribution to this region, this state, and this nation. It continues to provide a local place for loyal patrons to go and enjoy quality food, service, and company. There are not too many places left that can say all of that, if any of it. Id eat here over some place that serves overpriced artisan beer, cheap laughs, and fake friends any day.

First, THIS IS NOT A HOTEL! It used to be, back in horse and buggy days. I needed a place to stay while attending a funeral. The girl that answered the phone then told me in an excited voice that while theyre not a hotel, they have "really awesome beer and food!" Intrigued, I asked what kind of beers they had and told her I really like artisan and craft beers... She responded that "they had nothing like that, actually...they offer standard domestic beers--but really, really cold, and in a frosted mug! Thats what makes them awesome!" I told her, "But honey, mass-market swill served really, really cold is still undrinkable swill!" Basically ended the conversation there. Id strongly avoid this place, there are too many better options around. :-( zero (0) stars.

Relaxing ride out one day found me stopping at this great gem of a pub. Dont be afraid by the exterior... or indeed the interior; its old and creeky and steeped in history. Its not a hotel... just a pub - just a note for city slickers! This is real old school and its better for it. Insanely cheap ice cold beer is paired with old wood surroundings and at the time of visiting had scores of hand made welded art. Great riding stop on a hot summers evening.

The first time we were there, the kitchen was closed for renovation. They had hot dogs, fixings, and other snacks out- free of charge. Its a really nice restaurant and bar, everything is clean, tables to restrooms. Our 2nd visit-today, they had $1.00 quarter-pound hamburgers! What more could you ask for?!? The Rawlinsville Hotel is definitely our go-to spot after we play disc golf at Muddy Run.

What a great little place to eat! Wonderful staff...very friendly and attentive. I was surprised at the menu...a lot of great choices. Very reasonable prices. The food is excellent. This is about a half hour drive from me but it is a beautiful drive and I will be going frequently.

My brother Raves about this place and I think he eats dinner there almost every night! We were coming from a job and decided to stop. It was minutes before closing, when realized that didnt think theyd serve us. They did, great food, fat service and very friendly!

All day Sunday $1 burgers are an AWESOME deal. Extras are good too - 25 cents for cheese or lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo AND 50 cents for bacon really cant be beat. Its my favorite Sunday dinner option :)
