Gosh...I wish I had the same experience as the other reviewers. My family and I stopped for lunch at The BC Club and were very let down. We had to wait a very long time to order while the restaurant wasnt even that busy. We waited so long to have our order taken that I almost suggested leaving and grabbing a sandwich across the street. I wish I had. After ordering we waited an uncomfortable amount of time to receive our meals. Granted, we were a group of six, but we didnt order anything extravagant. Four of us got sandwiches with the homemade chips. All of our chips were so well done that they tasted burnt. When the waitress finally stopped back to see if we were enjoying our meal we told her they were not good and tasted burnt. Her response was "But they are our homemade chips!" and then she walked away. I find it hard to believe the chips are like that all the time because they were terrible! None of us ate them. I ordered a turkey, brie and apple sandwich on marble rye. I had one small slice of apple and one small rectangle of cheese. I ended up combining everything onto one slice of bread since all around the sides was bread only. I think the person that made out the best was my Grandmother. She got a blueberry pancake that tasted really good since she didnt put the cinnamon butter on it. It was more like cinnamon with a tiny bit of butter in it. Very dry and overpowering. Id like to say I would go back to see if breakfast is better, but I wont. I wish it was possible for me to post the picture I took of my meal. I gave one star because it isnt possible to give none.

We stopped by in the morning before touring the area after an overnight stay. We we happily greeted by the hostess and seated promptly. Our server as well was joyful and knowledgeable pouring needed coffee as we gave our order. Inside gave an awesome view of mirror lake and the decor gave us a cosy cottage feeling so prevalent within the area. Ah! Our breakfast arrive by one of the kitchen staff...so we began to eat. My wife notice her bacon was undercooked and asked the server if he could have it cook crisp. While enjoying the remaining breakfast the kitchen server plots a plate of extra crisp bacon down and quickly turned away. That is when the whole experience fell apart. The bacon was burned to blacken charcoal! Yep, they did what we all feared..got pissed off for a return. Shocked we ask for our bill fearing we were persona-non grata/ at point. The two stars goes to the hostess and waiter. I guess you dont ask the kitchen to redo the bacon. If allowed we will post a picture.

Excellent and really glad that we waited a WHOLE half hour for a delicious meal. I dont understand some of you folks that will leave a poor review because you had to wait for a table at a busy restaurant. Youre in a tourist town that is populated by people looking for quality food. Every one of you with your need for instant gratification are ruining quality businesses because youre too lazy and selfish to wait a little bit and soak up the experience. Back to the food. I ordered a Rostis, she ordered the Waffle. Delicious, creative and served in a really generous portion. I would gladly wait again for this great food.

Wow!!!! The food was AWESOME!!!! No complaints about the food at all!! One more AWESOME thing...my wife and I have had many lattes during our lifetime and we both agree that the latte we had here was the best we have ever had!!! So delicious!!! Also the view...Amazing!! Only one small negative thing to say is have your chefs pay more attention to the order the waitress gives them!!! Still gets 5 stars from us!! Thank you so much!!!

This restaurant was a poor experience. Not only were my chicken tenders burnt, but when I asked why my order took a very long time, the waitress just said "But these are our homemade tenders and it takes a long time to make them". In other words, they serve burnt food. Im surprised so many people like this place, then again it could just be a bad experience so take this review with some skepticism.

The best Breakfast spot, ever! No kidding. If youre visiting Placid and looking for that perfect, bang-on breakfast, the is it. Seriously, I cant wait to return to Placid again, just to eat their butter milk pancakes. My buddy had the Crab Cake Benedict which he raved about. I asked to see a dinner menu because if breakfast was this good, I gotta try dinner!

Pretty yummy. Unfortunately we *just* missed breakfast so they swapped our menus for the lunch ones. I dont think you can go wrong with anything in the breakfast department from this place. I got the "breakfast club" itself and wasnt disappointed. My wife got the BC Bene (eggs Benedict) and liked it very much as well. No wait for a table for us two.

Food was very good! Not just the standard eggs/pancakes on the menu. I had the Veggie benedict. It was delicious. I was full before I could finish. My husband has the Apple, Sausage, Brie rosti. He thought it was pretty good. Our server was very attentive. It wasnt very busy when we were there. Will definitely be coming back here on our next trip.

Liz and I have been here a few times now and weve been happy with the menu selection and food. Weve found the table service to be hit or miss, but nothing out of the ordinary really. They have some very unique breakfast dishes that make this restaurant one of the stand-outs in town. You really must try it if youre going to be in Lake Placid.

I I wanted to try some local breakfast restaurants and this one really stood out. Seated in the dining room which over looks Mirror Lake, the menu has just about every thing you could want. Coffee was warm, "eggs Bene" was superb, and the wait staff was friendly. Will eat here again next time Im in Placid.

Very popular place for breakfast. The service was attentive and friendly. Food looked pretty normal and no “wow” factor, but also, slightly overpriced for what you were getting. It’s worth visiting for the first time if you want to wait 30 minutes for a table, but probably not worth visiting again.

Mimosas are delicious. Had the Orange Almond Kiss and Lemon Honey Ginger - Id come back just for the drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive. I also had the veggie bene which was okay but the fries were obviously old and overcooked. Too bad because the drinks are so good.

I had the cheddar sausage biscuit sandwich and it was perfect. The biscuit was flaky and moist and the egg was cooked perfectly. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten. The pancakes are also excellent. Everyone should definetly eat breakfast here.

This is a must visit for me on every visit to Lake Placid. The Bloody Marys are unparalleled and their food is always fantastic. If you go for breakfast especially with a large party be prepared to wait a bit. In my experience the wait is always worth it.
