If you want stuffy waiters serving expensive steak, avoid this place. If you want great big delicious steaks (take leftovers home), huge salads (ditto) go here. Hands down the best steak place in the tristate area for the price. Dont go expecting a quiet romantic dinner. If you just want to have a great steak without busting your wallet, this is the place. I love those expensive places, but who can afford them? When my son came back from Afghanistan and wanted a big juicy steak, we took the family and him here. NY Strip, Delmonico and tenderloin were all excellent (I got the leftovers.) Ive seen a couple of criticisms of the steak, but Ive never had a bad one here. Ive also never ordered the sirloin. My go to place for great steak, and I am a foodie who travels across the country. Seafood is good, the crab cakes are fine. Extensive wine list? No. Cold beer and wine if you want it. Yes. Get the idea? When you order mushrooms and onions, dont expect a tablespoon of each, like Ive seen in other places. You get your steak smothered in them. Dont want that much, split it or take it home. Small appetite? Get the tenderloin/filet, everything else is big and this is merely delicious! Make reservations if you can, because everyone knows about this place.

This place was horrible. First, there was no place to stand while waiting for a table except right in the way of staff getting to and from the bar and kitchen. For service the bus boys actually were more attentive to our table than the waitress. The prices looked great when looking at the menu (portion for the price), but when the food came it was really really disappointing. Both my girlfriend and I ordered our steaks medium rare; hers was medium rare only in the middle, but at the edges (big steak but flat so should be easy to cook throughout evenly) it was just under well done. Mine (filet) came out medium well. I had to get the waitress back to the table since she didnt even wait for us to cut into our steaks, and when I told her she didnt apologize or anything, she just went and got a plate to take it back on. When she brought out another one that one was raw except for the outside. Also the mushrooms to go with the steak had to of come out of a can. This is definitely one place I am never going back to and is not worth trying to anyone else. Save yourself the bad dinner and go down the road a bit.

I have been going to the Glass Lounge for years off and on always for lunch and never had any complaints with their bacon cheeseburgers. Very good!!! I always wanted to try a steak for dinner so last night I did with a party of 7. We all ordered the delmonico steak for $22 at various cooking degrees. Personally my steak was probably the worst steak I have ever ate, and we where all very disappointed. no need to go into details. I have ate at many steak houses from Ruth Chris, Shulas, and plenty of local places like the Hillside, and Culhanes. I cannot believe that "Readers Choice" voted the Glass Lounge in 3rd place for best steak this year. Its a shame the Hillside has not reopened after the fire last year. Stick to the cheeseburgers for lunch, and forget about the steaks!

The name makes it sound like an above average place. It was an old and sticky place. The bar was loud and nearby. I ordered potato pancakes as an appetizer and they were actually small round flat hashbrowns. The vinyl booths were sticky. Store bought rolls. However, the California bacon cheeseburger was very good even if it was overpriced. It was served on top of a pile of potato chips that spilled over on me and the floor when I picked up the sandwich. The baked tilapia my coworker ordered was expensive and unremarkable even though the portion size was generous. They crowded a small family in right next to the booth we were in and I heard their whole conversation. Basically I visited, I ate, and I left. that will be good enough for me.

Food is delicious here! After moving to the Harrisburg area family introduced us to this little give. Can be very noisy and there is a constant roar of coversations but the food makes up for it. We always make a reservation as on weekends the wait is 30 mins or more. Steak is fantastic here! Many choice cuts and always cooked to mine and my husbands liking. Lobster bisque is very good could use more lobster but the flavor is spot on best I have had. This is definitely a adult hang out. I dont not believe it is a good place for younger children. Can be a bit pricy but worth it. Come here several times a year.

The restaurant is exceedingly crowded. There are more tables that can comfortably fit in the building, so it is challenging to be able to move around or walk to the bathroom, and sometimes your chair is well into the aisles. Because of the very large volume of people and very small amount of wait staff, the wait time for orders to be taken and filled was long. The food is unremarkable, and does not make up for the poor atmosphere and claustrophobic setting. I will not be returning here.

This is not a great resturaunt but is simply the only decent food in Harrisburg. The staff is friendly the beer is good with a fair selection of wine. The food is generous to say the least. However the salad is weird. If you want better then please go everywhere its a favorite of visting personel to Carlisle barracks and Fort Indiantown Gap if you further want to complain let me again siggest that you are fundamentally wrong as a human being and Outback does want you. They dont

This should be a hidden gem, but for many locals it is not. This food and portion size is is not short of amazing. My wife and I just finished a meal we had to share which was enough to fill to bellys. A stake that was perfectly made, perfectly seasoned and just oh so tasty. If you are from out of town, DO NOT HESITATE, to head here. You will not be disappointed, unless your expecting chandeliers and fine linens.

I rate the Glass Lounge as a 4 in the winter and only a 1 star in the summer. Does that make any sense? Well, in the summer they have a disgusting fly problem. I mean its bad. Im surprised anyone wants to be there in the summer. That being said, in the winter the staff is nice, the food is good, and of course the on tap beer tastes delicious. They desperately need to do something about the fly problem.

It could be the best steak ever, but when it comes out stone cold forget it. French Fries were cold too. Dont go here for a romantic dinner, its just a local steakhouse dive. We told them to stuff it and bailed, didnt want reheated steak. The manager did let us go with no charge for the drinks and an appetizer we already consumed. They really blew it, I wont go back!
