Came here today and was given an "updated menu" of their draft list. I picked a beer, was told they were all out. Not a big deal as I know that sort of thing happens. I take a few minutes to think about it and decide on another beer and to my unpleasant surprise, they were out of that beer as well. I decided to go with water as I was sure they could not, not have that. I also ordered chicken wings and made a point to say EXTRA crispy more than 4 times. When my wings came out and were sat in front of me, I could tell right away that they were far from what I had requested. I picked a wing up and there was no crispness to them at all...she offered to take the wings back and bring us back a fresh order. About a minute later, she was back to our table to tell us that they did not have anymore chicken wings (unbelievable). I am very displeased with this experience that I had and am not sure that I will be back, as this is the 3rd time consecutively that my expectations of this establishment have been sadly and unfortunately let down. The waitress did a great job though and was very apologetic. Our bill was wiped clean and we still tipped the waitress for doing a good job. I figured a manager would come to our table and apologize as well for the experience and that did not happen. Besides the waitress, I honestly do not have one good thing to say about this place at this point.....Now lets see if anyone gets back to me on this review in at least an attempt to make things right.

My family and I are so thrilled to have happened upon the server Dave. After repeatedly having servers that didnt offer second rounds of beer, suggest appetizers or intimate that there was even a desert menu(!), its refreshing to have someone so caring and attentive. Things like beer suggestions, water refills, and extra napkins were typically extremely hard to come by from other servers. For several weeks now, weve requested Dave and will continue to do so as long as we can. He is everything a server should be and more. Hes not the only exceptional server, but certainly one of a very few. Also, I find it really odd that the beer menu (book) given at the table is rarely accurate. Recently, both the book AND the board were wrong and the pub was out of at least 4-5 listed beers; Kind of odd considering its brewed on the other side of the window. Last negative - fruit flies!! Every time Im in there! Take your trash out! On the positive - thank you for the local food. Its a real breath of fresh air to see a business using locally harvested produce. I would love to see that extend to pastured meats and poultry. I, for one, would be willing to pay more for locally sourced and properly farmed proteins. We really love your beers, you heart, and your direction, but the pub and service sometimes leaves little to be desired. I hope these small details can be ameliorated. Thank you for the opportunity to share my opinion. Im looking forward to my next visit!

Ive had the beer and it is always solid. Sometimes not my taste, but consistent and great for the style. The restaurant is solidly mediocre. I had the Jerk Grinder. The chicken was dry, but the sauce made up for that. There was one slice of red pepper on each half of the sandwich and enough shredded lettuce to build a house. The steamed broccoli was cooked perfect but tossed in margarine which tastes awful to me. My girlfriend had the Bibb salad. This was a head of Bibb lettuce cut from the stalk surrounded by broken up bacon and walnuts with 6 grape halves and 4 thin slices of pear. It would be really hard to make this salad look less appealing while satisfying the description on the menu. The mango sticky rice had crunchy rice with a hint of cinnamon and had to be cut with a knife, topped with about 4 oz of mango lemon puree and 5 small slices of mango. A highlight though were the fried pickles. Lightly breaded slices fried perfectly and a great spicy mayonnaise based sauce. The service was pretty decent, but I got the feeling they are used to the food not being great. They say the menu changes often so I look forward to trying the next go around.

Coming from out of town it was great to sample several Victory beers at the brewpub. The beer selection was very good and the beers were excellent, though it would have been nice to see some more one-off experimental beers there that arent commonly available in other states. The food was very good, with some typical pub fare but also some great upscale American cuisine dishes. Victory is also very family friendly. We sat in the room beyond the bar which is quieter than the central space. The children could color all over the paper table cloth, and the kid menu was on a giant stamp that the servers would stamp on the paper table cloth in front of the children. House made root beer was also a special treat for the children. We went one night, and the next night it was the children that asked if we could return there. Of course, it is a great place also for singles and couples as well. I would highly recommend to locals and those passing by who appreciate good beer. If you like IPAs, Dirt Wolf is excellent!

The beer is excellent, although the selection is sometimes a little hit-and-miss regarding whats available outside the normal staples (a small price to pay given the quality and range of choice). The renovation improved the interior in that its less cafeteria-like, but didnt address the noise issue. This place badly needs some noise baffling up in the ceiling. Service is hit-and-miss, and often slow, but the food is decent on the whole (the expanded kitchen seems to have hit its stride, after a slow start). Worth coming back to again and again for the beer. The Uncle Teddys bitter I sampled last visit was thirst-quenching and an accurate approximation of a British bitter, and the unique Scarlet Moon rauchweizenbock was yummy, and highly recommended if you enjoy beers such as Leffe or Schneider Aventinus. And my S/O is very partial to the Fest, so we were both happy!

Have you tried the beer? Really? If not, you are missing out. I have to admit, I was pretty nervous/excited to go to the brewery itself after enjoying the beer for years. I was down in the area for work for a week and took advantage. The beer was great, of course. It was exactly as I hoped and there were some offerings on tap not available in stores. Gotta love that bonus. The food was also very good. I enjoyed the ribs. Only reason they didnt get 5 stars was the service. I was at the bar and near the end. The bar staff seemed much more interested in the other wait staff standing around and chatting. I could clearly see and hear them chatting. Seriously folks, when I was a bartender, you have to look at your customers and where they are at with their meal/drinks rather than idle chatter with other wait staff. Gets you a better tip every time.
