The reason I give it a one star is due to the fact the older Chinese lady at the register is RUDE as well as the staff. I have gotten takeout many times. The older Chinese lady does not know or seem to care that when people walk into the restaurant that she should acknowledge them with a hello. She will stay on the phone taking orders ignoring the people waiting in the lobby to pick up their takeout. The last time I was there, I had called in my order. I waited 20 minutes in the lobby waiting for the older Chinese lady to ring me through. I along with 4 other women waited and waited while she took phone orders, played with the kids and never once did she say hello to any of us or say she will be with us shortly. THEN after waiting 20 minutes, a guy comes in and one of the waiters asks him what was his takeout number. They had the nerve to get his order, ring him through while me and the 4 other women were ignored. I understand the Chinese culture is sexist, but if you are going to have a restaurant in the US you better learn quickly that women are equal to men and not to treat them as second class citizen. I said to the waiter and the older Chinese lady that me and the 4 other women were waiting for our orders and the guy had just gotten there. They totally ignored me which really PISSED ME OFF. I again told them that we had been waiting and they looked at me as if had 2 heads and never apologized or said a thing. I will never go to Golden Sea. The least they could have done was acknowledge us and apologized to us for making us wait. Will never go to Golden Sea. Their customer service has got to be the worst!!!

ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!FYI anyone who lives in the blue bell area. Joe and I went to GOLDEN SEA CHINESE restaurant tonight. They served us those crispy fried noodles with a little something extra...a ROACH fried on to it!!!!!! This place has been rated "best of philly" a few years in a row. We were absolutely disgusted as you can imagine we confronted the staff as they were bringing our ordered food to the table. I said "there is a roach in our food...is this normal? Do you have roaches in your kitchen??" She and the other waitress look at each other and shrug like...well yes. No apologies!! Lol. I cant even!!!!!!! They were shocked that we did not want our food and left. Good food doesnt always mean a clean kitchen!!!! Spread the word!!

Found a cockroach leg in my food. I posted this before and now my review is gone. This is an honest review. I lived in Philly, I know what the legs looked like, it was clearly a leg. It was not like anything I ordered and it stuck out like a sore thumb. It was medium in size. The staff was rude, I was quiet about it, the manager wouldnt even give me a refund. The manager said it was a shrimp leg. No it wasnt. It was brown black with the spikes and and the classic seven-shape. I made my kids stop eating their food. Really sad. I would never eat here again. I will keep posting my review even if its taken down. I have a right to express what I found and ate at this place... hence why you can leave reviews.

Very fast from time of order to leaving with my food! Egg rolls were hot but heavy on vegetables with little if any of meat or seafood. The shrimp toast was excellent golden brown and crisp on the outside, tasty and moist inside with a decent amount of shrimp. The sweet & sour was excellent and spicy but not too spicy. The General Tsos chicken, contained large pieces of perfectly breaded and seasoned chicken, but the sauce was watery and week tasting. Same with the Scallops in garlic sauce, very watery, no body to it with little taste other than spicy. Overall, dinner was ok, but not at the top of my list to order from again.

We have been a customer for probably 15 years or more. This is the best Chinese Restaurant. It has everything, it tastes fresh, the staff is excellent and the owners are almost always right there to make you feel like you are eating with them in their home. Even the take-out is fantastic, they have always (and this is for 10 yrs or more) always had the food ready when they said - always faster than ordering a pizza too. They are just the best in every way.

FANTASTIC- We have been eating here for more years then I can remember. The owners know my kids names. Shrimp Supreme is a favorite with my husband and I. NO ONE makes it like Golden Sea. We now live 45 inutes away but we still will make the drive to eat here. In fact we are going there this evening to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary!

Best General chicken in the east coast. The soft and moist chicken with crispy batter has a satisfying crunchy-ness texture mixed with a sweet and tangy sauce that gives a nice kick. I have always had an astounding experience with the food whether I eat in or take out.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Egg Rolls are handmade. Family owned. Husband and wife are there almost every time we go. Its a little pricey in comparison to others... but MORE than worth it.
