I order lunch from here at least once a week for delivery to my pharmacy. Their vegetables and seafood are always fresh. I have yet to be dissapointed and have ordered a number of different items. The only criticism I would have is that they tend to underseason their spicier entrees. I ask for extra hot spice when I order those items, There is not way the bad review on this site is honest. I have been less than happy with some of the other asian cuisine in York but there are two other places as good as this one. They are consistently fresh and good here.

I used to eat at Sweet House at least once a week for years. Over the past few years I have stopped going because of the poor service ive recieved. I work literally 3 miles down the street and although they USED to deliver they now say they can not deliver here..... which sucks for them because i am an amazing tipper.... especially for chinese. I do NOT recommend this place. I do not know if they are under new ownership or what but the customer service has turned to CRAP and the food is not NEARLY as good as it used to be.

Wanted to try some place we never did and never will again. The food wasnt hot even after waiting, and it has no flavor. The bathrooms smelled horrible of urine. There was a high chair that was black with filth. Broken and not safe. Open boxes of food and other items just sitting in hallway. Chest freezer just sitting in back by bathrooms. It was one of the worst experiences. Thats what i get formtrying something new. Ill just stick to what I know :(

The food was incredibly bad! They hardly even got my order right. I asked for sweet and sour chicken, they only gave me fried chicken, lo mein was very tasteless and blan, and fortune cookies were stale. The store was very messy, and poor customer service, menu pictures faded, coworker playing a game in the middle of his shift, and just a terrible experience. Im not coming back! Do yourselves a favor and stay away from Sweet House!

I decided to stop at this place since it was on my way. I made a big mistake. The food was bad. My family took one bite and we all threw it away immediately. Two of the entrees we ordered had a strong fishy taste, you know the one when you are not sure if the shrimp are bad. We could only eat the third item, steamed vegetables. We will NOT be ordering again.

The food was terrible and the restaurant was filthy there were boxes stacked to the ceiling in the dining room and in the hallway, water stains on the ceiling and dirt in every little crack, the table wasnt even wiped down and after paying 16 dollars just for my order they brought out the food on paper plates, I was not impressed at all.

Unless youre at a Chinese restaurant I dont know what you expect as far as quality of food. You get what you pay for. But once this place became the only delivery place in a 3 miles radius, they stopped delivering before 430 aka when the food price is cheaper. I definitely will not be patronizing this place anymore.

A typical Chinese food spot- nothing extraordinary or not horrible either. Hot food, prepared properly, good price. Spent $30 and got a free liter of soda. Chicken Lo Mein didnt have a lot of chicken in it. Not the best value for Chinese in York.

First time and last time here......place was freezing and the kids kept coming to my table trying to take my drink and my food. Bathroom wasnt clean either. Tables wasnt clean and sticky. Not a place Ill be coming back to.......SORRY

I have gone to Sweet House more times that I can count. Is it the best? No. Is it consistent? Yes. Is it the best bang for the buck in the area? Hellz yeah. Quick, solid, everyday Chinese food. Their dumplings are great.
