I came in and took a stool on the side as the place was pretty busy. I had been looking forward to trying the place as I had seen the signs for it and I like hanging out on the water. There was no view of the river. Its blocked. I just sat there observing the servers and people to take it all in and see what was happening. I think that the owner was a woman who was taking orders and serving. She was forgetful/spacey and didnt get me the menu I asked for. I finally got to order an appetizer from a very friendly waitress. While I was waiting for the appetizer, I had a pretty good Cadillac Margarita followed by 2 beers. Toward the end of the second beer I had to go up and approach the owner. She was criticizing the very friendly waitress, and continued as I stood there waiting to talk to her. She finally decided I wasnt going away and turned to me. I told her that I had had 3 drinks and had been waiting for over 1 hour without receiving my appetizer. I told her to cancel the app and bring me my bill as I was going to be leaving. After I had signed my bill, finished my beer, and got up to leave, she came over with the app and offered it to me. I declined. I wont be going back.

We go to The Deck several times every summer, fun location, decent food etc. we anticipate waiting for a table. Can be 30 min. to an hour. This past week we waited the hour for a table and then waited a while to order and then an hour for the food to show up, Horrid service. No refills on sodas or water or drinks, offered etc. while we waited, no "sorry were so slow" or explanations. Could they have offered an appetizer?? Stuck in a corner and ignored mostly. Waitress came by and brought blankets after sun went down which was nice, but if they say "another 2 mins." dont believe them. When food arrived some of it was lukewarm at best. NOT A GOOD NIGHT. Basically arrived at 6 p.m. and left after 9 p.m. Some people stood by their table 15 min waiting for the bill/ receipt so they could just sign already and leave. Maybe they only had one cook working? We dont know, but poor management is obvious. Oh and dont go up and mention how long youve waited, you wont appreciate the answer.

I came here a few weeks ago and was not impressed. I went to get a drink at the bar and the bartender had her back to me for a good 5 minutes before she noticed I was there. As soon as she turned around, I noticed that she had been hunched over on her cell phone that entire time. She didnt even apologize and said "What do you want? " This woman had a big coldsore on her lip, which made her even more appealing than her blue hair. I asked for a vodka soda and saw her grab the lemons and put them in my drink without washing her hands ( after she had been on her phone, and god knows what else.) As grossed out as I was, I drank my drink at the bar and noticed a Hispanic server come over and they were talking about another employee or guests, and it sounded like they were making fun of them. That was the final straw for me. I have been coming here for years and I wont be coming back here again nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Maybe next season theyll have better staff.

We loved going to this place especially for the halibut fish tacos. But the reason Im giving this one star is because we went to have dinner with some friends sat were we could see our vehicle ( so we thought) came back to our truck and it had been broken into they stole everything and destroyed the inside let alone beat my dogs in day light. Went to the marina the next day and the lady informed me that we were lucky they didnt bust all our windows out, we were the 3rd vehicle she had heard of on the third night. She also stated that they have someone watch you while your down there eating and you are being robbed, they are usually on a bicycle. And the cops will do nothing. Why they have no security (or just someone watching the parking lot couldnt be much more than min wage) on the premises during business hours is beyond me I would think that it wouldnt cost them as much as losing customers. I will never return and neither will my friends. Its a shame. Good luck.

I went there on a Sunday evening about 7 pm. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The environment was pretty cool. The food was not good. My girlfriend ordered the clams and instead of steamers she got the fried clam strips. (we did not complain as after the fact we noticed they had both steamer and strips on the menu and my girlfriend did not specify exactly which she wanted. She just said "clams") The fried calms strips were much better then my $15.99 fish and chips that were over cooked. Very stiff/chewy and def. came out of a frozen box. Same exact frozen fish that youd get at an old folks home or high school cafeteria. For $15.99 I honestly expected better. This was even a step down from Pacific Seafoods Co. delivered frozen fish. I mean come on. . . Its fun and easy to make your own batter and our proximity/access to fresh fish is not to be overlooked for a restaurant located on a dock surrounded by water.

Im pretty sad. For years, myself, my family and my fellow boaters have visited weekly. Unfortunately their current staff is horrendous. Today our server stole $45 from us. She gave great service and our intent was to tip her extremely well. We have multiple witnesses that saw her take the bucket with the cash inside yet she denied ever doing so. It breaks my heart. Theft is never the answer. Earlier in the week, server Jessica verbally attacked us and would not let up becaue our dog ate off the table. I am the first to agree, no dog should eat off of the table. The problem is that another one of their employees walked by and put two dog biscuits on the table that my dog of course ate. Im not sure if all of the harassment and attacks toward us are because we have a darker complection then them or if they are just hostile thieves in general.

This was my third trip to The Deck. I had pretty good experiences my first two trips. My third trip however was a nightmare. Our group had to wait a long time (kitchen) to get our meals to us. Half of the meals were cold, my fries were absolutely the worst I have ever had. They were cold, greasy, and tasteless. The Hawaiian Burger my Fiance and I ordered was okay at best. Needless to say I will never order another meal from that place other than a beer, that is pretty hard to mess up. I mentioned my disapproval to our waitress about my fries and she said she would have to pay for them. I sent back my full plate of fries. I would rather order a burger from any fast food joint then The Deck.
