THE BEST!!!! MEXICAN RESTAURANT Ive had awesome experiences in this restaurant, first of all the PLACE IS ALWAYS CLEAN, the natural plants give it a sense of freshness, tables are nicely spread out so it doesnt feel crowded. SERVICE is fast and kind. The FOOD is the closest in taste of Mexican cuisine that I can find in Portland. Sea food is my favorite(Shrimps Cocktail). And Chicken "cream" too. I have been there several times with friends and all of them like it. DRINKS r great, Margaritas r The BEST!! we have work meetings there because of the privacy and the quiet atmosphere.

Food was a little expensive for what it was. Meals were on average $2-3 more than you would pay at a similar Mexican restaurant. Service was not very friendly, barely spoke to us at all and acted like we were inconveniencing him. Food preparation was pretty quick but we were unimpressed with the food. The spinach in the spinach quesadilla tasted like it came from a can. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, coming in for a meal in the late afternoon before the dinner crowd, but thats no excuse for icy service and overpriced food.

Good, friendly service. Great chips and salsa. Lots to choose from the menu but went with what I judge all mexican restaurants by that Im visiting for the first time: shredded beef chimichanga. Pretty disappointed, the chimi was filled with mostly refried beans and very little beef which was bland tasting and the portion was very small compared to the asking price. Overall I felt we paid too much for the amount of food we received. Most likely wont be going back since there is a better place nearer by.

I found this place to be very average, probably the most average it could possibly be. Nothing really had any flavor at all, except the salsa for the chips, which tasted like Pace, so that wasn’t good. The chips were good however, warm and crisp. The food was plentiful, so you’ll definitely leave full. Service was fine. But with no taste, spice or otherwise, I would pass and go to any other Mexican place in the area.

We saw the menu after being seated, and almost wanted to split. We didnt get the signature dishes because they were $15 a plate, so we just got less expensive items, still costing $10 a plate. The food we received was okay, but nothing special. They do have an okay amount of vegetarian choices, so Ill give them props for that. Our server wasnt very friendly, either, we didnt even feel welcome there.

Service is GREAT! These are all VERY NICE PEOPLE. Food is very good, especially compared to other Mazatlan restaurants Ive been to. Not sure why but, they arent all the same. Im a regular customer and have been going here for easily 14 yrs. The owner is on site, seating is fast, service is quick. Great Chips and Salsa and Parking Too!!!

Not the best mexican, by far not the worst. Definitely the best in the neighborhood, much better than Bandito across the street. A little pricey for dInner, but good lunch prices. The service is great, everyone is warm and hospitable. I definitely would recommend if in the Cedar Mill neighborhood and desiring Mexican cuisine.

We have a server there that we love. We love the margaritas and Juan our server. I have never had poor service and the servers have great personalities always making the visit as enjoyable as the last. I travel from downtown to this location just for the service Juan provides.

If you dont take into consideration their inefficiency, the quality of food and the lacking ability to bring you what you ordered, this place would still only get a one-star review. Save your buck and just die of starvation before you come here.

Great service. Huge plates. The hevos rancheros were delicious. Will go with the corn tortillas next time though. The chips and and salsa were also excellent. Side note: water without straws! Yess! Straws are for the weak of mind.

Nasty, nasty. Fajitas taste like ketchup. No seasoning on the food. Didnt even care to try to talk to us about it or accommodate us in any way by removing the food that was not even touched off the bill, not going back.

I own a local business close by and my staff and I have eaten at Mazatlan for well over a decade. They are friendly, fast, and the prices are great. Perfect plus for a good lunch meeting or an after work meal.

Large portions, great flavors but nothing terribly unique or haute cuisine. Family place; they will get to know you. Juan has a pet name for our daughter, the diminutive of her name.

I especially like the El Burrito Relleno or Chorizo Burrito. Cant go wrong with burritos or enchiladas. Now open next door to Walgreens. Expanded dining area. Great food & staff.

The food is not the best Mexican food you cant get in Portland, but it is nice if you need something different other than Si Senor. The staff were very nice!

Skip it. Fajita sauce tasted like Ketchup, and fajitas were served late, without cheese.
