Food was pretty good but service was really pitiful. We came for happy hour and were seated alone at the bar. The gentleman who seated us brough us menus, chips & salsa and waters. It was almost 15 minutes until we saw anyone again. When the lady finally came to get our orders she was very unaware of the HH drink menu. The food was a bit slow to come out, but it was fresh and good. Took a while before anyone checked on us or brought us the check, and the computer system was apparently down. Might return, probably wouldnt recommend. Update: We returned the next week on $1 taco day, hoping to have a better experience. We arrived about 45 mins before HH and decide to wait in the bar area. After about 30 mins a man that seemed to be management or maybe owner came to take our order. We let him know we were waiting for HH to start and he was kind enough to let us order a bit early, telling us hed approve the pricing, but only this once. We both ordered 2 shredded chicken tacos and 2 picadillo tacos. The came out fairly quick and fresh, however when I bit into my picadillo it was just shredded beef. The man who took our order came by at that moment to ask how it was and I let him know I though they had accidentally given us shredded beef instead of picadillo, he looked at the tacos and told me that it was what I had asked for and that picadillo means shredded beef. I went ahead and ate them without pressing the issue, but I really got the impression he was just trying to pacify us without fixing the issue. Im Hispanic, born and raised in south Texas and Ive never encountered picadillo that was just plain shredded beef. The experience left me with the sense that he would rather lie than replace the tacos that were wrong in the order. That being said we probably wont be returning.

Attended on a very busy Sunday brunch afternoon! The wait staff was Most Impressive! Not only did they perform their services with confidence, swiftness and accuracy they did it in a pleasant fashion! They were really hustling and doing more than what could have been their individual jobs. The seating hostess even brought me my drink remembering that I asked for my water without ice. (Thats the way I like it!) The buffet brunch bar had many items to choose from which was a good way for me to sample more than my usual. It also meant I got to have guacamole, sour cream and salsa for whatever I wanted! I loved the cinnamon sugar flour tortilla dessert crisps! The chile Colorado was really good too though I dont know exactly how one is supposed to eat this… spoon, fork, bowl, plate, over what??? Tasty with a bit of a kick to it! (I enjoy dipping my chips in the sauce and the pork was excellent!) I was most impressed by the kind demeanor of the employees and their desire to meet or exceed my expectations as though it were natureal! Simply, through being human! Well Done Azteca!

We went to Azteca for a birthday celebration. It was close to the house and family friendly. We figured how can you mess up a drink and hot chips with salsa?? Our server was slow and un attentive. I ordered their version of a Cadillac margarita. It came back with five pieces of ice and it was the sweetest sugary mess of a drink with no detection of tequila. I waited for 15 minutes to ask the waiter for a glass of ice to add to the warm syrupy drink. After he didn’t show up, I personally walked to the bar to get my ice. All of the dinner’s food quality was poor. The quesadilla tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill, the chips were cold and stale tasting, and salsa bowls were small, refried beans tasted like they came out of a can. Not a great way to end a Birthday and I hope that no one else has to either

I witness a lovely young couple being turned away at the door because of what they look like. This was horrible and humiliating for them. I assumed because the young man had tattoos. His wife is pregnant and asked to use the bathroom and she was told to leave. They did nothing wrong except walk in to enjoy lunch. Should never turn anyone away because you never know who they are. I will never go to this restaurant again if they are picky who their customers are. It isnt as if there is a dress code. People should never be judged for what they look like.

Christian was everything and more it was our first time here to get lunch and he suggested we try the brunch buffet instead and boy were we glad we did besides the awesome food and selection of it we had unlimited mimosas who could have asked for more thought we needed to be wheeled out we were so full and our server could not have been more print friendly and knowledgeable so I give 10 stars 5 for the restaurant and 5 for him this will be our new Sunday church

The food was good. The manager was a complete jerk. I said to the server the margarita tasted like sour mix only. I had a friend taste it as well, said the same thing. He came over and was completely rude. He said I was drunk and that was why. Unacceptable! There was no call for him to attack me. I was trying to be respectful by just letting him know the problem. I had no other alcohol before arriving there.

Great Mexican fare and wonderful drinks in the full bar. Their tacos and enchiladas are well seasoned and the meats are succulent. Pair with a blended margarita and youve got a winning combo. Wait staff seems to cater to regulars more than newcomers though. Which I think is a mistake. You cant acquire new regulars by not treating all of your customers enthusiastically. For this reason 3 stars.

Overrated. It looks good but I was not impressed at all. The salsa was average and the bean dip was not that much better. I had a fajita plate and while the food was not terrible it definitely was not memorable at all. There are too many good Mexican restaurants in Portland that are either cheaper for more tasty to waste time here. I would not recommend this establishment at all.

My family LOVES the food here. This would have been a 5 star easy if not for the unreasonably inattentive waiter we had last time. It was strange, he didnt make eye contact and would rush off without giving us a chance to finish our sentences or ask for refills. The desert (fried icecream) has not been good there. Ive tried it twice now. But we love the chips and salsa.

I went for lunc with my wife, I got a FREE LUNCH OR DINNER, coupon, I think this is a bad coupon, because I had to buy 2 beverage, I got only 6.00dlrs less, not the 2nd. lunch FREE, is suppose to say BUY ONE, GET THE SECOND 6.00 DLRS. LESS, I hope they change this coupon ad. other than that the food is good.

Came here after being on the road all day long. We were really hungry. The food was very good, but Ive had better. The food was not as fresh as other Mexican places, but overall it was good & we left satisfied. The food was reasonably priced. Kept the wife & kids happy. What else can you ask for?
