Honestly Im not much of a pie person, I have to have a serious hankering for pie before Ill seek some out. However my fiance likes pie anytime, anyplace and we just so happened to be in the neighborhood. Walking into the restaurant, I wasnt expecting to be blown away, but boy was I wrong! We placed our order at the counter and took a seat while we awaited our pies. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, answering all our pie-related inquiries, they were quick to bring us a decanter of chilled water to the table so we could relax and cool off from walking around in the summer heat. We split a lamb pie and each had a slice of sweet pie, I had the apple sour cream pie and he had the Marion berry. It was some of the best pie Ive ever had, seriously. I took my time savoring every bite, and by the time we finished we were already trying to figure out how to get a pie home! However we had a bit of walking around downtown to do and decided to wait for next time. If youre in the area or just a fan of some delish savory and sweet pies this place is a must! They definitely live up to the hype!

My wife and I went to PP based on generally good reviews both online and by word of mouth. We purchased a "mixed berry" pie for a dinner party. When you hear the term "mixed berry" you assume youre going to find something identifiable as a berry somewhere within. Not the case. While the crust was good, what we otherwise got was literally purple pectin with raspberry seeds in it. It was nearly flavorless and the gelatinous texture was repulsive enough that not one of the 6 guests finished theirs, with one finally breaking the ice , saying "is it me, or is there something wrong with this pie?" It was this persons birthday that we were there celebrating. When we went back to the shop with the remaining pieces the person (I assume the owner) behind the counter would hear nothing of a refund/credit/apology/clarification. In short, I have no doubt this place makes some decent pies but this very definitely wasnt one of them. For $28, you should expect and get a lot better.

Really liked the food but the service was so bad I would not go back. I went at around two pm and they were very slow only us and one other table and two waiters so we should have received stellar service however after waiting 15 to 20 min to have our order taken the server brought us our food and then we never saw him again for almost an hour our drinks and water were empty for most of the meal and we were done eating for nearly 30 min before he brought the check and tried to take out plates that still had over half our meals left without offering boxes when we asked for them he brought out one small box that didnt even hold one of our plates and disappeared again we finally after three times got our check and adequate boxes and left wish I could go back enjoyed the food alot

My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner and were quite pleased. He does wish that his lamb pie was piping hot (it was comfortable eating temp) but he didnt really want to send it back.... just personal preference. I loved the tea and my Spinach Feta Pastie was delicious! Definitely feels more like a lunch or dessert place but we enjoyed it for dinner all the same. After sitting next to a couple who were very involved with each other (little too much PDA) they even gave us a free slice of pie! I was so impressed because its not their fault the couple couldnt wait until they got home. Very very nice of them. Oh and side note: the sweet potato mash was DEFINITELY worth the side upgrade... SO GOOD!

This is my new favorite place in Portland! Housed in the former home of the Roots brew pub, Pacific Pie knows what it does best - pies, dinner and dessert pies. The food is delicious and well priced, the service was great and they had cricket on the wide screen tv. How can you not like a place with Australian decor throughout? They offer beer and wine and while the draft selection was limited to three choices, all three were good brews. Additionally, they offer several bottles of beer to choose from. For dinner, I tried the chicken pie with a Burnside oatmeal pale and it was phenomenal. It really is a comfortable place to have a great meal!

I went to this humble little pie shop with a bunch of friends to check out their famous Meat pies. I honestly was a little iffy after eating stouffers chicken pot pies all throughout college. Man oh man was I so wrong. I ended getting the Roasted Lamb and oh my god. After I ate it I went back and order a frozen one for lunch the next day along with a slice of Bourban cookie pie. I spoke with the owner and apparently its just a couple that came from Australia who were frustrated that there wasnt any meat pie in Portland. Im so happy they came here!

I love Pacific Pie Co. Ive been here for my birthday, day dates with my husband, and when friends come from out of town. Lovely people, fantastic food, heavenly deserts. Ive never been disappointed. Great cocktails too (not just beer and wine, thank goodness). I appreciate the service and that the staff doesnt have an attitude when we bring the kids. Those of us with kids that have special needs want to go out and eat too. This is my go-to spot because they are so understanding. Plus I love the lamb pot pie!

Service for the Queen! I hosted a friends bday celebration on 11/11/11 and chose PPC for the delicious pies and Aussie theme but was highly impressed by the warm hospitality we received! My friend was immediately presented a complimentry glass of champagne and offered her choice of dessert pie. The wait staff treated us all like mates and even equipped us with Australian flag tattoos. A good time indeed, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Exceeded my expectations!!

I had high hopes as I really enjoy a good savory pie, unfortunately the lamb pie wasnt good. I couldnt taste anything but the overwhelming herbs in the dish. I only finished it because I was really hungry and at nearly $8 a pie my lunch budget was used up. The crust was amazing and the portion was generous. Hopefully the recipe will be refined and allow for the taste of the clearly high quality ingredients (meat and veggies) to come through.

If you like pie, you have no reason not to visit here. Pacific Pie Co offers up homemade pies, both sweet and savory, and you really cant make a bad choice. The Key Lime is perfectly tart, and the chocolate peanut butter is just the right balance of both. The shepherds pie is authentic, and I wish I could try them all. If bakings your thing, they also offer classes. Definitely try a slice to go, or eat in with a mixed drink.

Went just the other night for the first time. All of the food was really good. Our waitress was excellent. Someone in our party had a hard time figuring out what he wanted and the waitress took the time to chat about what she liked and made recommendations. I had the apple pie sundae and it was super awesome. A great place to stop even just for dessert, though a full meal is also wonderful and their prices are very fair.
