Food is great, and the service is actually good, but I had to pick Poor/Fair for a big reason. If you order drinks, be careful... The prices are all over the board, there is -zero- pricing listed, and asking about alcohol prices appears to be offending to the staff. The waiter was so weird about us asking about beer and margaritas prices, I went to the bar to ask. I was basically met with the same offended look. With prices ranging from $7-$20 bucks, I guess that just part of their business model.

Weve been eating several times a month at this beautiful mexican restaurant in Hillsdale, SW Portland. Heres the reason: Consistently great food, fast and cheerful service, fun and colorful environment, great drinks, fireplace, chips, salsa and bean dip at your table before you can take off your coat. Is it gourmet food? No. Hot, always good, not expensive. This is a family restaurant, run by a fabulous family that is always cheerful and helpful. We LOVE Casa Colima.

This place is the real deal. Good food, good drinks, and a good atmosphere. Five Words = The rice and beans doe! (Seriously do yourself a favor and make sure you get some on the side of whatever dish you order) The margaritas are pretty good as well, I would recommend ordering a "premium margarita" with Patron over their "house margarita" but try it for yourself. They also let you choose the flavor of the margarita which my girlfriend loves.

Ive been coming here for several years and have noticed an upgrade in quality; the use of fresh ingredients instead of processed or canned foods. The salsa, both red and green, are fresh and piquant. The staff is always great; attentive and pleasant. Refried beans, especially, taste fresh and not the canned Rosarita refries many other places use; a good clue to quality. It has become my favorite Mexican restaurant.

I recently moved to this neighborhood and couldnt be more happy to have an amazing place to go to for tacos, right around the corner! The chicken tacos are literally the best Ive ever had and the happy hour (3pm-6pm) is great! The wait staff is ALWAYS very friendly and that is just as important to me as the food. I rarely write reviews, but after this being my 4th time coming here in a month, they super deserve it!!!!

First visit was great. Prob my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area so far, and weve been on the search since leaving Texas. Margaritas were huge, plenty of tequila & flavor. No sweet and sour, thank goodness. Large restaurant, so there was no wait. The salsa was chunky and had good flavor and spice. They also bring out a bean dip that has good flavor. We well return and try additional dishes.

I just found my new go-to for great Mexican food. It was delicious from start to finish. The chips, salsa, and bean dip to start are addicting. I had the chicken tamale and pork taco and I was so impressed. The pork was tender and the tamale was one of the best Ive ever had. To top it off the service is quick and friendly. A wonderful overall experience and I highly recommend!

Im from Colima Mexico and loved it here... very nice atmosphere and great table decor/paintings. I was impressed with the friendly servers and hosts. I loved the food. I got the Molcajete Mexicano and it was delicious (you can share it)! I paired it with a Margarona (Rita & Corona) and was perfectly satisfied. Will def return here when im in town. Good prices=worth it.

This is your classic mexican food for white people. Youll get called amigos, get a giant plate of mediocre (but never bad) food, and nothing is very spicy. But you know what? They have margaritas the SIZE OF YOUR HEAD. Not joking. And that gives it an extra star.

Chips served with chunky salsa, and bean dip. Typical Mexican styled food, to the american diet. Lunch prices have gone up to $7.50 a meal. Priced us out of lunch there anymore. No complaints about the food, was good. Service is nice and quick.

Worst veggie burrito Ive ever had. The verde sauce that covered the burrito tasted like 3/4 salt. The veggies, rice and beans in the burrito had basically no taste. Seemingly overcooked and/or not seasoned in any way. If youre vegan, dont bother.
