Fast service and we sat upstairs at the bar. It wasnt too crowded in the late afternoon (we went here after visiting the Oregon Coast Aquarium). My wife and I were able to try some of the Rogue beers that we havent heard of before. Some were... odd, but because they were willing to let you sample a taste of many we found some delicious beverages to pair with our meals. I got the grilled cheese (with tots) and it was FILLED with drippy smoked cheddar and Gruyere. Paired with with a Good Chit Pilsner. We didnt take the tour but overheard that it takes 90 minutes to do, so plan accordingly. That is much longer and possibly much more comprehensive than other brewery tours. Looking forward to returning and experiencing it. There are a lot of quality breweries in Oregon, Rogue is one of the largest. They may not have the BEST beer out there, but their beer is still VERY GOOD and at this location you can try more than what most places offer and their brews that arent their normal staple beers are quite tasty.

I for one am a rouge beer fan so I wont let that effect the rating. Still this place still got a full 5 from me. Getting to the bar was an experience in itself, we got to go through some of the plant before getting there, so it was enjoyable. We were able to get a table quickly as well. Tuesday was fairly busy for them for their 3 dollar pints and they seemed a little understaffed. That being said we expected a little wait. We honestly didnt wait long but the server was very apologetic about the wait. She took our beer order and was back very quick with our drinks. By the end of it, we were about to pay and the server let us know that the beers were on them as an apology for the wait. Granted it wasnt much we got but the fact they did that says a lot and how much they care for their customers. 5 stars and I wish I can give them more!

Where to start... Service was terrible, I had to ask 3 times to the same person to get a root beer. Decorations are... uncomfortable and almost nonexistent. Beers are good, but as far as Oregon breweries go, nothing special. Food is terrible. Everyones food came out cold, didnt include some of the ingredients/ sources they said they would on the menu. The oyster strips were terrible, they had this stuff in it that was black/ green, smelled and tasted disguisting, barely even edible - DO NOT ORDER. Lastly, the restrooms are labeled Barley and Hops. Uh what? Who thought that was a good idea? Just dont go, there are much better food options in the area.

You walk through and under the towering stainless steel beer tanks to get to the tour area, retail store, and upstairs bar and restaurant, which is fun and interesting. Something like 20-25 beers are on tap, including experimental brews. The view towards the bay, bridge, and old wharf area over a marina is terrific. The staff was helpful, courteous, and attentive even during the busiest hours. Food is decent bar food, with done interesting seafood options. This is a good value. For excellent seafood, Local Ocean across the bay is a better bet, yet Rogue is fun and perfect for a particular mood.

This is a must-go stop every time my family visit Newport. You have to walk through the brewery itself to get to the bar and restaurant, and it smells amazing when theyre brewing! The bar upstairs is a cellphone-free zone, but you wont mind because there are usually a few dozen awesome beers to try. The food is great, however, I was disappointed last time I went down to find they no longer had Kobe beef corndogs. Please bring those back! The restaurant side has a great view of Yaquina Bay and is kid friendly. Note that sometimes it can be quite noisy, however.

I loved the atmosphere and dining experience at the restaurant. I personally ordered the spicy wings and the smokehouse stack, along with their house root beer to drink. The wings werent quite as spicy as i expected, but the sauce was enjoyable. The smokehouse stack was a unique combination of beef patty, bacon, and pulled pork, and was a very enjoyable eating experience. Their house root beer was excellent, albeit a little on the sweet side. Overall the restaurant at rogue brewery is an excellent place to eat.

Went here because I LOVE Rouge beers. But the flavors in the food, all the samples me and my beautiful wife were offered and the copious amount of Swag available was the clincher. They were even conscientious of a food allergy! I will definitely drop by "not during the busy hours" again and again for years to come. BTW we have been members for years and just visited this branch for the first time. I loved how to get to the restaurant you must slalom through the bright tanks of this fine brew house.

Stopped by for a quick snack for the family. Staff was friendly and helpful but the fish and chips where raw in the middle. Wife asked about it and was told it was supposed to be that way. Obviously it was frozen and didnt cook all the way through. The cooks laughed and joked about it being "al dente". Looks like they need a new chef crew. Saleswoman didnt know much about the beer for sale downstairs. This review really is only for the cooks mostly. Otherwise friendly and patient staff.

In the area from Boise, ID. Came here for lunch and of course the beers. Rogues beer is amazing and they seem to have high standards for thier main product, but the food at the restaurant lacks those same standards that you might expect from them based off the delicious and unique beers. The food is reminiscent of a Dennys, Perkins or Sharis and our party was very critical of what we had. I would say go for the beers and tour, and stay away from the food.

The beer was great - always is, but the service and food was lacking. Food was not good. I dont know how else to put it - it was bad. Service was slow and they also placed us by the childrens area and the kids were bumping into our table and chairs all while screaming over toys. We eventually asked to move. We almost walked out. But we drove from Idaho to have a beer at Rouge. Most likely will not return.

Not sure how to rate this place. Love the beer - Hazelnut Brown Nectar is a fav - but the restaurant is not so great. Clam chowder looked and tasted like it came from a can. House salad was super fresh and loaded with blue cheese (altho no hazelnuts as promised). Sriracha tacos were bland & unimpressive. Skip the restaurant; go for the beer.

Albecore fish and chips are the bomb, and the moco loco is great. Large portions. Dessert brownie is huge. Beers are mostly okay. Dont bother with the tour. Our guide knew virtually nothing about the brewing process, terminology, etc. Its a 1+ hour commitment, and youll feel sorry for having wasted your time.

The Tour was excelent, the beers are great! BUT my wife droped me off for the tour and gave me $10, I had one pint before and one pint after, I go to cash out and ask how much my tab is? She says $10 dollars please. I felt like a jerk, I didnt have enough left to leave a tip! $5 a pint is TOO MUCH!
