I am a returning customer. Let me tell you my story: After taking our credit card information weeks in advance for a 5 party reservation. They lost our reservations. 3 people kept placing me on hold and asking me the same questions. When the manager came on the line, he also attempted to ask me my name, again, any other name it could be under, again. Once it was determined that I do not have reservations, nothing was done other than we are full tonight, is there another night we can do? With visiting family in town, no there is not another night. No other attempts were made to remedy the situation. NONE. Manager not professional. I expect better service at this level of restaurant. If I had had this problem at Ruths Chris or Ringside Steakhouse, it would have been resolved immediately, with compliments. I know this because nobody is perfect all the time and issues come up. If you make a mistake, it is all good. Own it and lets make up for it. This was not done at any acceptable level. Will not be going back.

The Allison and Jory is an amazing place to visit along with the Spa. We always are blown away by the top notch service. The Jory has amazing food and we usually sit at the chefs counter which we always higly recommend. The first time we went to the Allison I had a lot of special requests and each one was fulfilled they made the experience the best we have ever had at any resort. Please dont listen to the negative reviews of this place, most of the people leaving negative reviews are clearly the type that think nothing can ever be perfect or that life sucks and they have to put negative reviews because things are expensive or the room temp was one degree off.

The food was perfect in every way. The staff and service in the restaurant portion of the establishment is top notch. I recommend sitting at the chefs table, which is a bar that looks into the kitchen. It is mesmerizing to watch the cooks and staff go about their business. I really should be giving 4 stars because of the outside bar service. It was perpetually slow when sitting outside on the patio. But since the drinks and small plates were still delicious, I was able to look past this and still return each night of my stay at the Allison.

Very nice restaurant in a spectacular Hotel setting. Though the hotel prices are sky-high, the restaurant is reasonable, especially for lunch or just stop in for a drink in the comfortable bar or by the fireplace in the lounge. Excellent outdoor seating with lovely patio furniture during the temperate months.

We headed to Jory to enjoy their wonderful buffet brunch only to discover the buffet is gone. What remained was a middle of the road menu, poor service, high prices, and an empty dining room. We also found bugs on our table as did another table, very disturbing. Something is terribly wrong at the Jory.

For somewhere as presumably posh as this place, Id expect more than 5 main choices on the menu. The wine list is enormous by comparison, but fairly pricey, considering the location in the heart of wine country. Food was just better than"OK", all things considered.

We loved the charcuterie plate but found the gnocchi was drenched in sauce and pine nuts so rich it was indigestible. The butter was highly salted and I had the same problem with the flatbread on the bar menu.
