This little taqueria is tucked into the old downtown Woodburn, slowly being revitalized by the Hispanic Community. Our lunch was very reasonably priced and delicious. I love chili rellenos, and order them almost all the times I am in a Mexican resturant. It is one dish which is complicated to make, delicious if made right, and barely tolerable if made poorly. I have tasted rellenos in different parts of Mexico, Tuscon, LA, and many small and big restaurants in the PNW. The chili relleno I had here ranked with the other best, (which is in Seaside OR) The salsa rojo was very authentic, as were the other choices.

I believe this may be the best place for Oaxacan tlayudas in the entire state of Oregon. All other menu offerings not bad either, you should try the memelas and the molotes. The food is not exactly like the real thing down in Oaxaca and southern Puebla, but its a very good approximation, especially if youre tired of Tex Mex restaurants and their "Mexican" food

Now called El Tule. They have great service and have made items not on the menu for me and guests on multiple occasions. Food is great and very reasonably priced. The looks could use a bit of a makeover but that is the only reason that I didnt give 5 stars.
