because I was in my 80s the baristas acted like I was going to rob her when I ordered my coffee with shot of espresso and asked for another small cup she said would have to charge me for cup of cream? so she filled the cup to brim without any room for sugar or cream (she did put equivalent of 1/4 shot of cream in it) so was overflowing which is reason I always get a extra cup. Spilled hot coffee on my hand no napkins on counter brown sugar and others empty no creamer on counter and ended up not satisfied at all which is what coffee is all about on cold rainy damp day. Maybe if I was 16-25 It would have been different.

Horrible customer service. I came here several months ago, and the woman with the short hair was extremely rude to me. not only did I have to pay for whip cream on my latte, but the girl with the short hair forgot to put it on. When I said something to her, she got really mad at me, put whip cream on the top, then seeing it was overflowing, poured it into another cup...So the whip cream is now on the bottom of the coffee- and it was too full to put a lid on it. I will never come here again. I was completly humiliated after she yelled at me for asking about the whip cream...Because they were "slammed" (busy).

Great coffee, Roaster on premise. Outdoor courtyard with koi pond, lots of bird houses filled with house sparrow families in spring and summer and covered patio for year round outside seating. Love the laid back atmosphere has wi-fi and only a few blocks from Clackamas River walk and appreciate the owner/operators since of humour and perpetual smirk. Lots of outdoor events in summer. Havent been to a Starbucks since I found this jewel

A friend recommended the Storm of the Black Bear, and it came in yesterday. Beautiful bloom, rich, gets complex after a couple of minutes of infusion (I use a pour over). One of the best dark roasts Ive ever had. Seems to like a medium grind--too coarse and youll lose some flavor. It was $19 for 12 oz. shipped, comparable to third wave beans locally, equal or better quality. I will be trying some other blends from Happyrock.

Holy cow! Im from Salem but am trying to learn Portland since I recently started a new job here. This places is ahhhh-mazing!!! Sure, the appearance is hip and cool, but the coffee is legitimately freaking delish! Plus, they stock awesome tasting bagels, dont skimp on the cream cheese, and the prices are impressive. I highly, highly recommend this place!!!!!

Love the staff, love the coffee and cant think of a better place to sit with a book and a latte than in the courtyard. It is a special treat when I catch the owner and roaster Lisa behind the counter. Gladstone (HappyRock) is fortunate to have her and her fabulous roasting skills. Best coffee in the Portland metropolitan area.

I have been to more than two hundred coffee establishments all over the world, but I must say gladstones Happyrock Coffee has won me over all the rest. Lisa has the perfect blend of roasting down to a science, and is far superior to anything else around. Good luck and keep up the good work!

This is an amazing small batch craft coffee roaster. All the coffee is wonderful but my favorite is Darkness of Divinity. The staff here is always awesome! In addition this place has the largest selection of hard cider in bottles and cans in this area and Clackamas co. In general.

Since discovering Happy Rock coffee, no other coffee will do. We buy it whole bean for home and office. When we grab a coffee on the go, it is Happy Rock coffee. It is local, not franchised. Enjoy great coffee while helping a small local business!

I had a great experience recently when they were super busy. I love the cozy seating area and the eclectic decor. It was also nice to see local people from my neighborhood too. Its become the local gathering place for many of us. Great drinks too!

Happyrock has the best coffee. They roast their own beans. Everything is super fresh. The baristas are friendly. The espresso is great. The drinks are tasty and pretty. Why go to the evil green giant when there is a quality shop down the street?

Happyrock Coffee is the best thing about old Gladstone. Right next to the library - now they have fresh chocolate croissants (pain au chocolat) from Munos bakery and cakes and pies from Gabriels in Portland. Mmmm.

I was surprised to find Happyrock in Gladstone. They roast some of the best coffee in the Portland area without any arrogance. Happyrock and Spella Caffe in downtown PDX are now my two favorite coffee roasters.

This place has a wide variety of drinks ranging from tea to espresso using high quality local ingredients. They also have whole bean and ground coffee available, which they roast themselves.
