Ive been going to The Pines since July 2015, and I love it. The staff is incredible, the owner is super hands on, and the new location is fantastic. Be warned, if you are a die hard Starbucks fan, you need to leave your expectations at the door. This is a local coffee shop, that makes their own syrups, concocts interesting flavors, and even makes their own coconut cashew milk. There is literally no place better than The Pines in the Portland/Vancouver area, in my opinion its the best in the Nation. How many coffee shops ensure that they give back to the community? How many buy their beans from an organization that supports disabled individuals with the desire and potential to work? How many are closed on Sunday so their employees can be assured they will have a guaranteed day off to spend with family? Not many. My suggestion? Go try The Pines. Leave your expectations at the door. Ask the barista to suggest something for you, sit down and enjoy the happiness that buzzes around the shop, and leave energized.

PINES IS FANTASTIC! I stumbled upon this gem while in the area and I didnt realize itd be a little drive through. Cute and QUALITY coffee and teas. I took one look at this menu and wanted to try them all their beverages. Theyre right next to a cemetery -- which usually would be eerie for me, but I find it somewhat cool actually. WHY THEY ROCK: - Syrups are handmade - Uniquely flavored mochas -- cardamom, ginger, lavender, pine needles?! - They use real pumpkin, fresh ginger - They dont charge for milk alternatives (coconut cashew, almond, soy, etc.) THIS IS THE BEST. Why do most places charge people for having milk intolerances?! - They have MATCHA - Steven Smith Tea - Ryan is awesome-- super nice and very helpful in answering questions. My favorites so far: The Woodsman (fresh ginger infused dark chocolate) w/ almond milk. SO GOOD. Theyre opening a storefront soon-- Im super stoked for them!

This place the makes the best coffee Ive had. Their actual coffee is good. To me, good coffee happens when you do not need to add a thing and you can actually taste and enjoy the beans themselves...and that is true for this place!! And their signature drinks are just awesome...the white pine, black alder and moss + oak are my favorites (and probably the black alder is all my all time favorite. Every barista Ive had has been awesome, upbeat and provides excellent service and the owners are awesome. I cannot wait for the Felida shop to open...until then Ill visit the stand! You must try this place!

Gluten free facility with bagels, cookies, scones, etc. from companies including Gluten Free Gem, New Cascadia, and Bake Works Inc. They offer some vegan options as well. I cant comment on the drinks as I didnt order one, but the bagel was tasty! Rebecca (I think thats her name) was kind enough to give me a large cup of water (and then refill it) when I showed up on a bicycle coming from a ways away. Thanks for a good breakfast after my three hours of sleep!

I was there to grab my coffee, the service was great and I am amazed that they are friendly with good recommendation. The guy suggested me Black Alder Mocha. What I cant said is a good drink to start my day. It does not taste any savory and the aroma of the orange make me want to have more and more. What I love the most is the sweetness of the drink is just fine and pleasant. There is always a better day to start my day with Pine coffee

I cant say enough good things about Pines Coffe & Tea. The ownership and service is top notch and they put a lot of time in perfecting their drink flavor combinations. They take great pride in their work and it shows. They also use Happy Cup coffee which only hires special needs employees, a fantastic way to support a wonderful cause. If Pines had an indoor location I would probably live there.

Ruth just brought me a delicious peppermint mocha this morning from you guys and I am in heaven. It is nicely blended with the right amount of peppermint. Plus, I love the stopper in the lid to prevent spillage while driving. The only down side is I live on the other side of town, but will definitely drop by when I bring the dog to the groomer down the street.

Great people. Rich, locally roasted coffee sourced with good morals. Great prices for the quality. Unique flavors and teas if thats your thing. Best latte in town, get it with an extra double shot. This coffee addict cant keep away from this place! Used to drive a few blocks for Black Rock but now I go to Pines exclusively. If you want a good coffee, go here.

Last week I had the privilege of trying out the St Helens white mocha, paired PERFECTLY with a gingerbread man. Oh goodness. Yummy times a million. The latte was smooth and sweet from top to bottom, not syrupy or bitter like Ive experienced at other shops. Loved every sip and every bite. Cant wait to try out the rest of the menu!!

Coffee and pastries are good. All gluten free and natural. Staff is friendly and warm though service tends to be slow. Shop is not very kid friendly (no high chairs) and not a lot of seating, especially on rainy days when sitting outside is not an option. Also, such a bummer that gf donuts are only available on Saturdays!

This is one of only two coffee places in all of Vancouver that I actually like. I love their dedication to excellent ingredients, friendly staff, and partnering with a cause for their coffee roasting. I heard rumor about a sit-down location, and I definitely hope that comes to pass!

The two owners of Pines Coffee are some of the most noble characters I have ever seen in local business owners. I fully expect Pines to become a household name in Vancouver Wa. You better hop on the train now so when they blow up you can say you knew about it before they were cool!

I added a picture earlier. I found metal twister wire in my drink when I was done drinking. purchased on 5/17/16 around 330 pm. not going back to this place and do not advice. just because I looked like a bum, doesnt mean you can treat me like a bum, I paid for my drink.

Hi. Ive been really enjoying the new restaurants moving into the old "Garrison Square" (Planet Fitness area). I had no knowledge of what Pines was as I drove by it daily. Can I suggest that you add "coffee, tea and more" to your signage. I really want you to be successful.

Amazing coffee with high quality ingredients, definitely one of the best coffee shops Ive had. Highly recommend to my friends. Also great promotions like Happy Hour, etc., which provide rewards for faithful customers. Friendly service and a great cause. Thanks, guys!

Pines is a great place to grab a cup of coffee. Its nice to be able to get a good cup of coffee without having to go sit down to get it. I highly recommend grabbing a latte from here if youre down and needing a smile. Ill be a regular at pines.

Always good service and the most unique flavors anywhere. Also, the usual stuff is top notch. Keep in mind that they dont add as much sweetener or flavor as many places, so if you like more, just ask. Super cool people, good product, local.
