Miss Zumstein has wonderful, made from scratch baked goods. Theres always something new and unique to try. I love the quiche, chocolate torte, and every little cookie and tart Ive tasted. Its a cozy and pretty spot, although it can be a little cramped when the weather is bad and no one is sitting outside. They seem to do a lot of cookie platters and other special orders. I havent tried one yet, but Ive heard several people say that their birthday and wedding cakes are amazing.

Cute little shop, doesnt have a lot of tables and tables are spaced very closely. Was very quiet when I was there and would be a good spot to get reading/work done. Try the lavender chai latte! Its connected to another shop next door but Im not sure what it is. Has an "evening" menu with alcohol beverages and light snacks. Considering its a bakery, baked goods are a bit limited in number. M

best coconut macaroons Ive ever had! EVER! I know from the samples everything else is amazing but I resist buying anything else as itll lead to more obsession over their goodness. they will hand dip the macaroons for you anytime if theyre out of chocolate ones. the ginger fella that works there is super cute and sweet but everyone that has helped me is lovely.

Excellent place! Great laid back atmosphere, complete with a fireplace. Highly recommend it for quiet socializing and/or work. Food options are creative and delicious, both savory and sweet options, all made in-house. Great selection beverages: the usual coffee drinks, plus a couple wines, bubbly options, and a handful of beers--very Portland in that regard.

Considerate staff. Great flowerless chocolate cake. Great coffee and chai. Right next door to Old Salt and they let you bring in sandwiches from next door. Good study or meet up spot. What could they improve?... Hmm... maybe more veggie/healthy food options that dont have flour--for when Im feeling like eating more consciously. Maybe having a soup of the day...

The treats here are sort rustic, by which I mean absolutely delicious without relying on prettiness to sell themselves. As a well established hater of carrots, it galls me to admit that their carrot cake is one of the most delicious things Ive tasted.

So good! Coffee is proper (and Im a total coffee snob), and anything that comes out of that kitchen is gold. Employees are fantastic; if I ever run a business, I hope my employees will be half as good ambassadors as these folks!

Utterly wonderful baked goods. I came in for a chocolate chip cookie, left with 2 kinds of cookies and a hazelnut pear tart, and never pulled out of my parking space until they were ALL GONE! Too good to stop. That good.
